They did additional patching and water proofing we will test to see if this fixes it. I am very appreciative. Capitol Roofing came highly recommended by my realtor. They came to do the roof inspection when we were purchasing a new home, and they found numerous issues with the shingle roof, roof deck, gutter, etc. They were all fixed by Capitol Roofing within a few short weeks of request and signing repair request. They delivered as promised, as well as a few other things my insurance inspector requested. I cannot be more happy with their work. Most homeowners under-appreciate how critical the roof's function is, it literally is a shield that protects all of your belongings from getting wet and grow mold. There is one closet that is damp and growing mold, this should have fixed the root cause!

Both the reception team and on site consultation went smoothly. Work proposal was honest. The actual work seems good, however it's hard to objectively say this improved my roof since this was a smaller repair job, not a full roof replacement. Follow up photos from completed work definitely show me that this is an honest business. I am docking 1 star because I found multiple nails scattered in my driveway once the job was completed. If I was not vigilant in checking for this, I'd very likely have popped tires eventually. Site clean up and cleanliness is just as important as the actual work. Docking another star because I was also not informed that the burning smell from the torching would be so strong inside my home. I would have much preferred to step out while the work was completed if I knew how bad this would be. Unbearably strong chemical smell, had to run the a/c and indoor fans for the rest of the afternoon to clear it out. Overall, the work seems great, but there are logistics issues that could use improvements. Edit: Shawn stopped by to personally apologize for the job mistakes the day after completion. He's an honest businessman, and I'm glad to see this type of practice and customer service. He truly cares about the customer and the quality of the work.

From the onset, David left a good impression during the estimate. He didn't try to upsell me and give me the "everything is so expensive" sob story. Instead, he came across as a sincere businessman and left a lasting impression. After a dozen estimates, it was a no-brainer to give DT Roofing the job. They made the process simple, seamless, and straightforward-- devised the contract, scheduled the start day and a few days later all was completed! Their team arrived to work on-time everyday until the job got done. They cleaned up after themselves. Roofers came, worked diligently, cleaned up the debris, and left only to repeat it until the job was complete. Inspections took place flawlessly and passed. As the homeowner I wasn't bothered at all! David literally took care of everything from start to finish. There was comfort knowing DT Roofing are licensed, their warranties are legit, and that they stand by their team and workmanship. It is without hesitation that I recommend DT Roofing for your roofing needs!

DT Roofing took on a roofing + solar project on our historic home, which involved a tile reset…read more(preserving our old tiles), as well as a reroof of our flat garage roof. For the rear part of the house, we did a "comp out" around our solar panels, which looks great. This project was quite involved, and took a very long time to complete due to our solar contractors. David was very patient throughout the whole process, and didn't put any pressure on us. Three things that I really liked: 1. Visually, the roof looks excellent. It looks much cleaner than the previous tile roof. Juan, our lead roofer on the project, as well as the rest of the team, did a great job. 2. When there were minor issues that popped up, which are to be expected with such a complex job, guys were at the house the next day to take care of them. 3. Of the many contractors that came to bid on this roof job, DT Roofing was the only one willing to actually do a true tile rest, and try and save as many existing historic tiles on our roof. Almost every roofing company that came out tried to pressure us to get rid of the existing tiles, and just buy new tiles, saying that at least 70% of our tiles were going to break when removed. The guys were able to save the majority of my tiles, which helped to save us money, and also helped us to keep using many of the tiles original to the house.

Most important, his crew takes their time, they're not rushed. His guys took a week to do my roof where others said they'd get it done in 3 days. I actually went to look at other jobs before hiring a roofer. His guys were careful and did all the repairs we agreed to. I especially liked how they didn't charge a per sqft for deck replacement, it was just included in the price. They also fixed rafter tails as needed and primed them for protection. They came with their own porta potty and didn't pass the cost onto me, just one simple price. What was great is that the one simple price was lower than other crews and used better material. Instead of paper, they used ULD synthetic underlayment. I asked for peel and stick ice and water shield in the valleys, a new cricket for the chimney. I was on site every day up on the roof inspecting and they never seemed annoyed with me looking over things. I asked a lot of questions and pointed out areas I'd like them to focus on or fix an issue (missed nail on a rafter tail, soft deck needing more replacement, uneven deck, etc.). You should always inspect work and not wait until the end when fixes are difficult and be reasonable in your asks. These guys are cool and will help you and want you to be happy, just be respectful and don't wait till the end of the job to give them a list of issues. The only real hiccup was that the shingle model delivered wasn't the model I specified. The brand, color and warranty is the same, but the SRI index was different. Ultimately, we worked out a fair compromise and am satisfied with the result.

This company runs like a well-oiled machine with high efficiency and expertise that comes from extensive experience. I received ongoing excellent communications from Harry throughout the project without any extra complications or fear of abandonment. They finished the entire job with city permits and inspections within 7 business days. Not once did I feel like I would be stuck with an incomplete job by a distracted contractor. All of my questions and concerns were addressed within reasonable timeframes and with respect. I am completely satisfied in July 2026 and know that we are ready for any predictions of stormy weather during the coming winter season(s). I am glad to know that this company offered a warranty to call them if any problems arise in the distant future so that they can fix it. This is also what you value and pay for - help with future issues if they arise. This company did not give me the lowest estimate, but Harry stood out from the other companies I collected estimates from because he was very thorough in his inspection and very clear about what his company could do for us as a highly rated, licensed business. This company takes pride in its work and in making sure all of the permits and procedures take place in an orderly, legal manner.
