You can never go wrong with bagels! This is THE place for good bagels and coffee. They also have pizza, and they look good too so you can't go wrong with it. I ordered the Parisian, lox & shmear, and a small lavender honey latte. It did take a few minutes because they do get busy and it is a popular spot for a lot of people. Prices aren't bad either, and for the quality of the food, definitely worth it! Love the staff, love the outdoor and indoor seating, and would definitely come back here next time im in Savannah!

We were in the mood for some fresh bagels so a quick search resulted in Big Bon Bodega coming up. The outside was very welcoming on a sunny day with picnic benches setup under big red umbrellas. Inside, we were met with a friendly cashier that told us all the good bagel to spread combinations. We went with an Everything and a Roasted Herb bagel. For spreads we got the pimento and roasted herb. I can't begin to tell you how fresh and flavorful the bagels were. They had that nice chewy texture to them that you get with only the freshest of bagels. Our favorite of the two spreads was the vegan roasted herb. It was so spreadable and so herby. I recommend Big Bon Bodega for some of the freshest and most delicious spreads in Savannah.

I'm such a fan of this place. Anytime we are here in Savannah, I will always bring my family here to get some AMAZING bagel sandwiches. It pretty tight in their space, which is okay. The place is designed for a grab and go, especially since they are next to a university. BBB couldn't pick a better spot. High foot traffic equates to uptick for on the go food runs. Amazing people here. Make sure to give them a good tip after! "They're your tastebuds. Satisfy them!" -Allan Delacruz

I wanted to stop by again after receiving ownership feedback and went to try other bagel shops. I felt that my one concern was unfair because prices were similar and cheaper compared to the other areas. And as a bagel lover, you taste the quality of the food here. Especially if you REALLY want a good bagel sandwich. Between the food quality, diverse menu, the service and the atmosphere, this place will continue to be one of my favorite spots in Savannah and will visit everytime I'm in the area.

Trust the reviews! this place was GREAT!! The service has been the best we've received in Savannah, the bagels are fresh & light with flavor, and the coffees were so good I went to get a second one for my drive after haha! I got the ube chai latte and Savannah bagel sandwich. My family also approved and they're old school but really liked this modern bagel spot:)

This place is such a nice place. I love that they have outside seating. As soon as you walk in the building, you can smell all the bagels. We ordered the Vietnamese bagel and the flavors were a hit. The bagel itself was a little bit more dense than I prefer. However, everything worked out together very well and I can't wait to go back and try something else. The service was very quick and fast paced, but everybody was very nice and did their best to work through us as fast as they could. But we did not mind waiting in line because there was a lot of things to see and look at and choose from.

Great tasty bagels and wide variety for menu options! The honey bear latte was amazing. I just wish the bagels were toasted a little more so they weren't chewy!

This is the first place I've ever eaten in Savannah, GA and my god they set the bar impressively high. I consider myself a pretty well traveled person, I also lived in NYC for 14 years which is known for bagel/breakfast sandwiches. That was a top 5 breakfast sandwich I've ever had, on a phenomenal bagels. Cheese melted perfectly egg perfectly fluffy. Delicious coffee with a really cool interior and super friendly staff.

Lox bagel

I've gotten the lox bagel twice now and I can say it's pretty good! I loooove lox bagels so I know when to spot a good one . Very good, especially on a cheddar bagel hehehe. Also! Their coffee is really good and I love their play on flavors! I would come here often but my cons to this place ties in with being a little bit more expensive than what I would expect for the outcome but it's still a nice place to sit down and hangout especially when the weather gets nice. Service is decent.

Enjoyed BBB's bagel sandwiches. We ordered a simple egg/bacon/cheese and turkey bagel. Bagels had great texture and flavor. Indoor options were limited; outdoor space is plentiful. Reminded us of a big city bodega setup. Price point well reflects portions.

Lots of menu choices

Located on tourist free bus route about 2 miles west of historic area. Opposite big famous park on edge of old housing area and University art district. This corner eatery has generous inside and outside seating and some local street parking. Great choice of bagels and coffee options. Basically cool must visit place.

Ivy S.

We visited for breakfast and ate on the front outdoor patio. The indoor walk-up service is where you place your order and pay. Then they take your phone number to text you when the food is ready. The Mediterranean, vegan and prosciutto bagels we ordered were all finger-lickin' good!

My response to the owner respectfully, this is a forum for good or bad reviews and any review should be looked at from an open perspective. My intention wasn't to downplay your dedication, work ethic or effort you put into your establishment. I really was curious about the choice to solely stick to a square style pizza but that wasn't addressed.

I've never been to one where the workers don't look exhausted and pissed off. On a Sunday morning during MDW, Spread is no different. We arrived at Spread seeking refuge from the torrential downpour outside, sopping wet, dripping all over the floor. After drying off with paper towels and wringing out our hair in the sinks of the very spacious bathrooms, we were informed that it was going to be a 45 minute wait before we received our bagels. Alas, where else were we going to go? We did indeed wait the 45 min, but sipped on some lattes in the meantime. There are lots of seating options, so we were able to sit for the majority of the wait. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel, and it was fine. The cheese was more like a cheese sauce, and I think I would've preferred sliced or sliced-adjacent. I can't really think of an occasion in which Spread would be the move, other than one in which you are avoiding some kind of adverse weather situation, considering the wait time, food quality, and their tendency to run out of certain food items.

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.

Despite feeling like there's no point in writing a review for this place because, if you don't…read morealready know it's one of the best coffee shops in Savannah, you must be living under a rock, I decided to give Foxy Loxy the accolades it deserves. Foxy Loxy delivers a phenomenal coffee shop experience. Not only is the coffee top-notch (and for 9 out of 10 people, it will be some of the best coffee they have all year), but in the interest of full transparency for my fellow coffee nerds, if you're the type of person who judges extraction ratios, roast profiles, and espresso technique above all else, you may also want to check out Franklin's or Origin Coffee while you're in Savannah. I say that not as criticism of Foxy Loxy, because I absolutely love this place and visit regularly, but as someone who considers himself a true coffee-shop enthusiast, I think it's only fair to give fellow coffee lovers the complete picture. For me, Foxy Loxy wins because it combines very good coffee with an outstanding atmosphere, making it one of the most enjoyable coffee shop experiences in the city. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope to find in a cool downtown coffee shop. Whether you're working inside, grabbing a seat upstairs on the second level, or hanging out in the back courtyard (my personal favorite spot), Foxy Loxy has you covered. There's plenty of seating, great food and drink options (their tacos and chips and queso are amazing), and an outdoor patio that offers tons of shade from both umbrellas and mature trees. They even have a really cool water feature and regularly host wine nights and campfire events that make the place feel more like a community gathering spot than just a coffee shop. This is truly one of Savannah's gems and absolutely worth a visit. On the coffee side, one of my personal favorites is a cortado with horchata. That said, I've yet to find a bad choice on the menu. No matter what you order, you're probably going to leave happy. Pro tip: If you're spending some time there and want to explore afterward, head out the front door, take a left, and keep walking until you reach Forsyth Park, one of Savannah's most iconic destinations. If you found this review helpful, give it a like. I hope you enjoy Foxy Loxy as much as I do.

Beware- the tacos and burritos are packed with lots of yummy ingredients so you will not leave Foxy Loxy hungry. The cute environment offers so many seating options in its multi-level spaces indoors and outside in their amazing courtyard. Alright, fellow Yelpers, here are my thoughts on Gallery Espresso…read more I'll be honest, this is one of the harder coffee shop reviews for me to write because I'm a little torn. Do I think Gallery Espresso has the absolute best coffee in Savannah? No. Do I think it has my favorite atmosphere in Savannah? Also no. Personally, I tend to gravitate toward coffee shops with a slightly more modern feel, while Gallery Espresso leans more toward a classic, eclectic, and somewhat antique-inspired vibe. That said, I think judging a coffee shop solely on where it ranks in one category misses the point. If you're looking for a place to spend an entire afternoon working, reading, studying, meeting a friend, or simply relaxing, Gallery Espresso is one of the most reliable spots in Savannah. It has plenty of seating, mostly dependable Wi-Fi (though full transparency, it can occasionally get a little spotty), air conditioning, good food, solid drinks, and a comfortable environment where nobody seems to mind if you settle in for a few hours and get things done. In fact, despite there being a few coffee shops in Savannah that I would rank higher in specific categories, Gallery Espresso is probably the coffee shop I visit more than any other in the city. Why? Consistency. Every time I walk in, I know exactly what I'm getting. The service is dependable, the environment is comfortable, and it's simply an easy place to be productive. I'm personally a fan of their chai tea lattes, and their bagels are always a solid choice. You really can't go wrong stopping in here whether you're a local looking for a regular workspace or a visitor needing a comfortable place to recharge. I tend to be pretty critical in my reviews, so if anyone from Gallery Espresso happens to read this, I promise this isn't a criticism. There are a few places in Savannah that I think do certain things better. Some have more memorable coffee. Some have a more unique atmosphere. But very few places deliver the level of consistency that Gallery Espresso does day after day, and that's exactly why I find myself returning more often than almost anywhere else. For me, that's worth 4 out of 5 stars. I'm giving it four stars because while there are a few places in Savannah that I think function better as dedicated coffee shops, Gallery Espresso does an excellent job balancing good coffee with comfortable seating, food options, a productive atmosphere, and the ability to spend hours there without feeling rushed. When you take all of those factors together, it's one of the strongest all-around coffee shop experiences in the city. And sometimes, that's exactly what makes a great coffee shop.

This is such a unique and eclectic spot. We walked out of our way to grab coffee and match and it…read morewas absolutely worth it!
