We had a large group in town for a bachelorette so we needed to find a spot that we could all get a quick hangover cure. This was the perfect place to grab a quick bagel and coffee! We were in the mood for some fresh bagels so a quick search resulted in Big Bon Bodega coming up. The outside was very welcoming on a sunny day with picnic benches setup under big red umbrellas. Inside, we were met with a friendly cashier that told us all the good bagel to spread combinations. We went with an Everything and a Roasted Herb bagel. For spreads we got the pimento and roasted herb. I can't begin to tell you how fresh and flavorful the bagels were. They had that nice chewy texture to them that you get with only the freshest of bagels. Our favorite of the two spreads was the vegan roasted herb. It was so spreadable and so herby. I felt that my one concern was unfair because prices were similar and cheaper compared to the other areas. And as a bagel lover, you taste the quality of the food here. This place is such a nice place. I love that they have outside seating. As soon as you walk in the building, you can smell all the bagels. We ordered the Vietnamese bagel and the flavors were a hit. The bagel itself was a little bit more dense than I prefer. However, everything worked out together very well and I can't wait to go back and try something else. The service was very quick and fast paced, but everybody was very nice and did their best to work through us as fast as they could. This was a fantastic stop on our trip! We always visit Savannah and this was a new spot I had found on yelp and I was so happy that we were able to stop here because everything was so good! Now their isn't any seating on the inside but they do have benches and high tops outside. And They have 1 bathroom per gender so it was a little tricky with the line up front and people waiting to use the bathroom. But it's small location:) These bagels were fantastic. I got the Korean mama that Guy Fieri tried. It was so good!!!! The Bulgogi beef was tender and delicious and the kimchi cream cheese was mouthwatering I would definitely get it again. My husband got the Savannah bagel that was pretty good I loved the herb butter and my son got a plain bagel. We couldn't leave without one of their cinnamon rolls that are proof for 24 hours and honestly you can taste the difference it was soft and had a beautiful cinnamon flavor. Everything was delicious. And the coffee from Fox coffee I got the Honeybear latte that I can't stop thinking about I've never had anything like it before. I can't wait to stop back in on our next trip to try pizza. It was an absolute vibe and everything was so peaceful. I ordered the Lox & Schmear bagel, which was so good and incredibly filling! To accompany it, I ordered the Lavender Honey Latte and I didn't know how much I needed coffee with lavender! I also saw the barista make it and it was made with so much love! I ended up getting the Parisian which came with sliced prosciutto, brie cheese, herbed butter and seasonal preserves all on a roasted herb bagel. I also got the Savannah 912. That one came with bacon, two egg patties, cheddar & American cheese, herbed butter, on an everything bagel. My favorite of the two was the Parisian. I am writing this review on the new Pooler location right off of Hwy 16 near Publix. They just opened and we went today to give it a try. I was very impressed and the food excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and it was very clean. We had a the salmon sandwich bagel and an egg bagel and both were delicious. If there were any criticism at this time it is just that the seating is limited but not much you can do with the space they have, maybe add more seating outside. I would highly recommend giving the new Pooler location a try, it would be nice to have a business succeed in this location! read more
