Vegan Jackfruit kids meal & vegan Loaded Baked Potato
Justine B.

Can't rave enough about the vegan options at this spot! I have never been a fan of jackfruit until I came here. The vegan "pulled pork" is so tender and melts in your mouth. The pretzel bun and so buttery and creamy. The loaded baked potato is so well balanced. And the best of all deep fried peanut butter and jelly. All of these options are vegan and they have a few other veggie options I still need to try. If you're vegan and in Long Island it's a must try! It's a great spot to takeout or casual dine in I hope they get a vegan coleslaw and mac and cheese too soon.

We stopped in for lunch after searching BBQs in the area. We ordered some wings, brisket, ribs, onion rings, mac' n cheese and cornbread. The place is small with about 6 tables. The wings were good, and the brisket had a decent flavor and was falling apart in your mouth. The ribs were lacking meat and the flavor was just ok. The onion rings were mostly batter and overfried and the mac' n cheese was cheesy but had a lot of pepper on it. The cornbread wasn't bad and was moist. One thing that I noticed was two of the cooks in the back weren't wearing gloves while cooking. It looked like one of them was all the way in the back, possibly cooking the meats, and the other one was working on the fryer, just grabbing the food without gloves or a hat/hair net and throwing it in the deep fryer, but I guess everything gets killed in the hot oil. Overall, the food was nothing great.

St Louis Cut ribs and Sweet Italian Sausage Plate

It's a good place for BBQ ribs. Price went up pretty high compared to the menu a year ago I saw. I got here Sunday around 5pm and want to order half rack of ribs but they did not have enough left so I had to get mix of rib and sausage and 2 sides with corn bread. Cajun fries was alright. The onion rings look great but had no flavor. Sausage wasn't that great. The ribs was fantastic. The place is small with 3-4 tables to sit. There was one table with 4 guests dining in when I was there and somehow the staff bring out empty basket that supposed to be full of fries, so they definitely need to impress their service. One big thing, if you want to order ribs, make sure to call in first or come in way early before their close time or you will end up like me with the food I didn't plans to order.

My review is really a 3.5 star review but we gon' round up to 4 because that is the right thing to do. The restaurant is located in a strip mall type place and there is a good amount of parking but unfortunately, the dining area is very small. If you are a large party, I would recommend getting your order to go. The staff is all very, very friendly and they were working very hard to fill orders in a timely manner but even still the time that passed from our order to our food was uncomfortably long. Like so long that we watched another couple eat their whole meal, clean up, leave, and we were still waiting long. I mean, I guess the food is THAT good that order are coming in and the food is cooked fresh on the spot but still, the wait time is an issue (especially if you are hungry) On to the food: we got a little of everything including a pulled pork plate, a meat tornado, sides of onion rings, fries and cornbread. The meats were tasty and the portions were ample. The sides were fried expertly. The cornbread was moist but could have used additional butter, perhaps on the side. We also got the sauce tour but were very disappointed in the viscosity of the sauces and the flavors (sadly, our favorite one was the sauce that came out of the jar) but we are also sauce snobs so take that with a grain of salt. I would absolutely eat there again and you should go and give them a try so they can bank some money and get a bigger spot! Maybe try ordering ahead too to minimize the wait.

We tried to get into here about a year ago and they ran out of ribs so we decided to come back another time. We finally did and it's pretty great BBQ. We got the ribs, brisket, wings, Mac and cheese, baked beans, broccoli and a ton of sauces to dunk. You really only need the BBQ sauce or none at all because it's fantastic on its own. This is a very small delish little spot, like 4 tables small, so you may need to do take out. Slow down when looking g for it because you could pass it it's that small. The staff are very nice and accommodating, they assisted us with what to order. There's so much to choose from so it's honestly hard to make a decision what to eat. Try it out!

Any place that has AC/DC crankin' and playing Baywatch on the TV is my kind of place. Big Belly Que is a BBQ spot that reminds me of Sempre Fame BBQ in Floral Park. Nothing fancy, just a couple of hard working folks trying to make some good 'Que. Located in the old Pudgies spot, Big Belly Que isn't big at all. It's really small inside with just a few tables, if you had 10 people dining inside it would be tight. Big Belly Que is nice for grabbing a family BBQ meal to go. My wife & I walk in and grab a seat. We ordered a family meal to go but decided to first dine inside. The family meal has a lot to offer! We ordered some deelish Onion Rings, Two Types of Chicken Wings, Coleslaw, Baked Beans, Corn Bread and Mac & Cheese with shells. As far as meats, they ran out of sliced Brisket! The family meal doesn't come with ribs so we had pulled pork and pulled brisket. Everything tasted pretty good, there was a lot of sauced up meat so I really couldn't judge their BBQ ribs or brisket. The owner was super nice, he came out and explained how the business started with his partner. He's a local guy who opened this business in March. We had leftovers for lunch the next day, the family meal was a nice choice for us.

This place is so awesome. Had a big craving for BBQ in the Long Island area, and stumbled across this place. It's a smaller place, probably seats about 12-16 people at most. They had an awesome deal for their meats samplers. This is one of the first places I've been where both the meats and their sides were equally delicious. I ordered their ribs and pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese and onion rings, with their cornbread. Their meats were tender, sauces elevated it to the next level. Their Mac and cheese was certainly one of the best flavored Mac and cheeses I've gotten at a bbq spot ever. Also they use shells so that holds up their creaminess of the Mac. Onion rings were crunchy and delicious. For me, personally, their corn bread was super moist, which I wasn't too much of a fan of but regardless everything was super spot on. I sampled their sausage and their brisket, and wow. Definitely going to order one of those on my combo platter next time. Brisket was juicy and tender. Sausage had a great smoke and slight sweetness, which a good chew. Their hot dog for kids was the size of an adult hot dog, but had a nice bite. Not to mention their fries are nice and crispy. The other side I sampled was their broccoli tossed with garlic I believe, but they really season everything so nicely. Their combos run for about $20, what a great bang for your buck. Love love love this place and will definitely come back!

First time around, we ordered the family special. Well worth every drop of BBQ. Second time around, ordered the burger and Nashville hot, and honestly I wish calories didn't count. Someone call the mayor from flavor town, because this place is awesome!!! Also -huge plus for playing some great bangers. Who doesn't like 90's grunge and alternative playing while grubbing on some stellar BBQ

Pay the exact same amount for a five piece chicken tenders "with sauce on the chicken" and you…read moreliterally get three times more sauce than if you order it "on the side". I politely brought this up to the worker - that it doesn't make sense that you get so much more sauce when you get the sauce on the chicken as opposed to on the side - is there anyway I could get the equivalent amount of sauce you get when you get it on the chicken.. just on the side.. so the chicken is not all soggy by the time I'm ready to eat it? The worker responded to me by telling me " if I gave you the amount of sauce on the side that comes on the chicken when you order it on the chicken- that would be the equivalent of giving you two sides of sauce - and would cost extra" I'm not sure if he was trolling me or if he's brain dead, but basically he admitted that for the same exact price you get less. Cool. Won't be returning . Brilliant business move- what's more valuable - retaining a customer or saving a sauce that you give out for free for the same exact order when you phrase the order differently? Definitely saving that sauce, right? Lol it's cool though I can see you're heading in the path of your predecessor Soup's On. Excited to see what the next restaurant that opens in this location will be!

Stony Brook is such a competitive spot for restaurants. The college is within walking distance so…read moreit should be a slam dunk. I walk into Stony Brook Wings during lunchtime. The place is empty except for the DoorDash guy. I'm reading the menu board, it's huge! Salads, burgers, chicken, etc. I see the lunch specials, a (4) piece chicken tenders with fries and no soda? I ask for a fry substitute, no dice. I order a soda with my lunch special. The total order with the soda is over $17 bucks. Is it really so special at this point? The tenders come out, look at my picture. Those tenders are closer to well done. Special indeed. I won't return.
