When we lived in Levittown there was a Hurricane wings on Hempstead Turnpike. It's now long gone…read morebut I always liked them better than that other big wing chain. That's why when we passed this location in a recent outing, I knew we needed to try it out. I got what use to be my usual, the cyclone boneless wings and it was just as I remember. They cyclone sauce is hot sauce mixed with ranch. The sides left something to be desired but you don't go there for their sides. You go for the wings and the sauce and the friendly fun, shipwrecked themed atmosphere. The people are nice and friendly and we enjoyed our lunch before making our way back home.

Love the taste of Hurricane wings and knew that coming here would totally be worth the visit!!…read moreThere was a lot of open tables and seats, so we got seated easily. Our server left us for a long time and took almost 25 minutes before we got our orders taken. The wings were all cooked very well. My favorite sauces (despite not being a spice lover) is from their Signature sauces list: Firecracker (which tastes creamy and ranch-flavored but with some sweet chili flavors) and Dynamite (spicy honey mustard taste) as they are delicious. We got a great deal ordering on a Monday because there are daily specials *highly recommended to look at their daily deals. We were able to order 10 wings for $12.99 so we did about 4 orders of that!! They're the same price if you get boneless or bone-in. Both options tasted great, really just depends on how you want to eat them. The fries are extra on the side and are also fried well. Other sauces that were yummy are Mild and the BBQ (no spice at all and was a nice hint of sweetness). The classic flavors also hit well and were very yummy! A random plus about these wings is that even if you eat them as leftovers a couple of days later, they don't go soggy or shrink like other places!!! They are still closely delicious to as if they were fresh and have a good texture when eating them.

It's the spot you hit after baseball games, soccer matches etc. The service is usually quick and friendly, exactly what you want when you've got a hungry group in tow. Now, is it the absolute best pizza you'll ever have? Probably not. But that's not really the point here. The pizza is fresh, consistently delicious, and affordable. It's the kind of quality you can count on, slice after slice, dish after dish. The atmosphere is its own experience lol. Walking into Branchinelli's feels like stepping back into the 1990s. It doesn't seem like much has changed over the years, and honestly, that's part of the charm. The old-school vibe adds to the nostalgia that's makes it special. All in all, Branchinelli's is a classic neighborhood staple that continues to deliver where it counts.

It's beautifully pillowy with a crisp undercarriage. It's perfectly oily without being greasy. It's (IMO) too saucy which tends to make it a little sloppy but it's a balanced sauce of sweet and tart with just the right amount of cheese. Their regular pie is a benchmark pie for Long Island pizza. It's just right. No notes. The chicken parm and meatball parm heroes are also benchmark sandwiches. I judge all heroes against theirs. Personally, I prefer the chicken parm, but it's a 1A/1B situation. There's no wrong choice. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a little bit larger.
