    Full Chicken Karahi
    Zain S.

First things first, the service was terrific and the atmosphere was great. Real roomy where you can fit a family of 30 if you wanted to. Tonight I made my way to Hauppauge to this glorious place every has been talking about, in a good way of course! We started off with the chicken tikkah botis and malai chicken, both were a solid 8.5/9! Delicious Smokey flavors with a kick but nothing over powering where your mouth was burning. The malai chicken was delicious and juicy! I have to say, their house chutney was amazing and was a MUST HAVE when you need something tangy to dip your chicken in! Totally recommend. Then we made our way to the chicken karai! And of course you had to get their naan! I ordered myself the regular naan AND the sesame naan! The karai was rich and creamy in that gravy, tender pieces of chicken and just the right amount of spice! Gravy was so good it had me licking my fingers! The service was great and the best part was that the owner came out to check on everyone's food and to see if everything was up to par . I'm so happy that Hasb-e- Zauq opened up right in town because you need some delicious halal tikkas and karais to make your life a little better! Great food and a greater appreciation rate. Thank you for dinner, we'll be stopping by often.

Everything was delicious, perfectly prepared, and served with professionalism from start to finish. We went with the Carnivore Belly package and added skirt steak, wings, and a mix of sides. The BBQ was outstanding - meaty tender ribs, juicy pulled pork, burgers and dogs grilled to perfection. The wings were crisp and flavorful, and the fryer setup stole the show with piping-hot fries and onion rings that guests couldn't stop talking about. Even the sides (macaroni salad, harvest salad) were fresh and balanced out the richness of the BBQ perfectly. Booking, setup, cooking, serving, and cleanup were all handled smoothly. Our guests raved about the food, and we were able to just enjoy the day. It was the best of both worlds - the taste of authentic BBQ with none of the stress of doing it ourselves. Highly recommend Big Belly for anyone looking to elevate their party or gathering. They absolutely made our event unforgettable. My belly is certainly happy, and now big too.

The pretzel bun and so buttery and creamy. The loaded baked potato is so well balanced. And the best of all deep fried peanut butter and jelly. All of these options are vegan and they have a few other veggie options I still need to try. If you're vegan and in Long Island it's a must try! It's a great spot to takeout or casual dine in I hope they get a vegan coleslaw and mac and cheese too soon.

I'm a huge BBQ fan but this restaurant falls short food wise…read more Food: 2/5 - Burnt Ends were not burnt. Not even close. The Two Live Q with Brisket and Sausage was a mess. The Brisket was tough. The sausage was bland. The meats were cut in huge chunks and just tossed on a roll with TONS of sauce. The only way to eat it was to open it and just use a fork. There was no sense of smoked meat. The food was drowning in sauce. It would have been better to have the sauces on the table like the Dang in Islip. The portion size was massive. I would have rather had a smaller portion that was good. Service: 4/5 - Service was good. The restaurant was empty while we were there but it was very attentive. Ambiance 4/5 - Nice layout. Kind of small. Joined with Simplay that has sports and table games in the back. Cleanliness: 4/5 - No issues. Bathrooms were good. Parking: 5/5 - No issue. Big lot. Value: 2/5 - Expensive for what you get. Overall: 2/5 - It's a nice layout but the food sinks the ratings. Dang in Islip is better food wise but the ambiance is better here. It's not bad if you want to come to Simplay and play games and while you're at it, get some food. But if you're visiting for good BBQ there are other options that are better. I won't be back. Recommendation for Establishment: Put sauces on the table. Control portion size and don't smother everything in too much sauce. Plate food better and ensure that if you're serving a sandwich that you can actually eat it.

McDonald's has better nuggets than this place. I ordered the burger, and asked for it medium. It was definitely well-done and lacked flavor. I also ordered Mac & Cheese which would make my wife's Kraft Mac and cheese at home look like a meal at Insignia. How does a southern/BBQ style place mess up Mac and Cheese??? My favorite drink at BBQ and southern styled places is the homemade sweet tea. This place's sweet tea tastes like a Snapple. Their sprite tasted like an off brand wannabe. My server was very nice! She was the only reason I didn't speak up about any of the issues while I was there because I didn't want to make her life hard. I also was already aggravated about the food and didn't want to give her an attitude or come off rude cause there was no nice way of saying the food was garbage. The place looks okay, it's small but has a nice bar. I should ordered some shots of 1942 before hand maybe the food would have tasted better had I been drunk.

Looking for a fun dining experience where you cook your food, then this is a place to add to your…read morelist. Having never been to this type of restaurant before, we came with seasoned veterans so as to not be confused and/or overwhelmed. It's a lot IF you have no idea how this place works. Here's the gist of it: There's BBQ and/or Hot Pot. You can do one or both. There's a set price for adults and children. It's all you can eat for your 60-90 minute time slot. For a slight up charge, you can get both BBQ and hot pot. Since this was our first time, our party focused on just the BBQ. You are told when it's last call for having the raw items brought out from the kitchen to cook. Appetizers and sides are prepared in the kitchen and brought out upon your request. We tried quite a few: sweet fried mini buns, fried shrimp shuami, fried pork goyza, and fried spring rolls. All were yummy! Each person can request up to five items at one time. That's harder to do that you realize. And they will keep rolling it out as you request. However, it's important to note that wasting food is frowned upon so you are expected to order responsibility to avoid unnecessarily just throwing food away. Stars of the night for us were the skirt steak, short ribs and pork belly with enoki mushrooms. The zucchini and large mushrooms were standout fresh veggies. Everything brought to the table was very fresh and flavorful because of all the available sauces offered including a make-your-own-sauce bar. Again, adding personalized FUN to this dining experience. Service was quick and our table area was clean. Because the restaurant was so busy we sometimes had to trouble catching our server to order more items and get beverage refills. But it was never overly long. The evening ends with a Hershey's personal-sized cup of ice cream or sherbet. Just one per person. You'll be so full so one is more than enough! With our big group of seven people , our dining outing was a really fun experience. We'll be back and be sure to come hungry!

For some people who may not know this is a "Japanese" BBQ & Shabu Shabu. For some of you that may not know what Shabu Shabu. Basically, you get to cook variety of meats and vegetables in a pot of broth, and you can create your own dipping sauce for additional flavors. First off... I'm sorry I don't really see any "Japanese" influences in their selection of foods. Definitely more so on their Korean, Chinese more so. But that's just my opinion. These days BBQ & Hot Pot is the new rave. It's a thriving all you can eat kind of business. Only difference is who has better selections? If I say Commack vs Flushing. Flushing wins hands down all the time. BUT! For where they are no real competitors, I'd say they have a fair selection of choices. Service was spectacular, food was fresh, sauces were your typical selections depending on how you like it and free little ice creams at the end of it all! Overall, it's enjoyable if you like to cook with friends. Definitely a group hangout kind of spot. I would suggest coming a little earlier to beat the rush!

As of today the truck has been in business for 8 weeks. You walk up, order and wait for your food. Food takes about 20 minutes and everything is made to order. I wanted to try the pulled pork sliders but they were sold out so I had their cheesesteak instead and got some cheesy tator tots on the side. The tots were smothered in liquid cheese, in a creamy sauce with a hint of pepper that did not overwhelm the cheese taste. They were nice and crispy too. The cheesesteak was great. Sliced meat cooked to perfection with onions and cheese melted into the soft bun. It just needed some sliced roasted bell peppers on it but regardless, the sandwich was great. The bread was nice and fresh. I paid $16 for both items and split the sandwich with a coworker because it was huge. The tots I kept for myself and eat them until I had a stomachache. They have breakfast too but I'm always running late to work so I am unlikely to try that anytime soon. Typical egg sandwich's.

The Soon Doo Boo was very tasty and had a little kick. Not as much as I would like but very close to what I would expect. The Jap Chae flavor was good but it did not have any spinach and not enough of other vegetables; but as I said, pretty tasty. The place is pretty roomy so would probably not need to wait for a table. The rest of the food were mostly misses, the worst being the Kalbi. The flavor was a little too sweet but in a teriyaki sauce kind of way, not the Korean pear/sugar/soy sauce way. The seafood pajeon was too burnt and did not have any seafood, almost all batter. The banchan was ok but the kimchee was a little too ripe. Service was a little show because they were short staffed according to our waiter. So all in all, just not a great experience. I would probably be a little more lenient but prices are similar to Flushing/Bayside even though I would assume their overhead was lower.
