I've eaten at plenty of KFC's and this has to be the most horrible tasting fried chicken. First time, it was not good, figured maybe the cook forgot to add the seasonings, 2nd time was even worse! Paid $32 of chicken that I had to throw out ! It was bland and tasted disgusting. My son even agreed. And the over priced spicy chicken wings were teeny tiny, over cooked and was way too spicy that I couldn't even eat one. And I love spicy foods. That also went into the garbage! They're giving KFC that's been around for ages such a bad name. I'll travel to a different location next time. This place should shut down! I don't understand this place at all. I came here just to get a couple things for my stomach that was literally dying for food, I haven't ate anything for about 7 hours straight, I needed some food, I usually love KFC, so I went to this one, but it turns out the service was terrible. The manager had to come and give it out my food because the employees were apparently doing something when all I saw was them talking and watching tiktolk in the back where they made the food. When I got my food, I was surprised to see 2 really thick pieces of hair in my chicken, and now the 20 dollar family meal is 35 dollars. I was going to get that and bring it back to my friends at home, but it turns out that I wasn't gonna pay that much money. I used to go to KFC sometimes, so I can save money and have some delicious, fast food, but I don't think that'll be happening anymore, and the vibe in there is just disgusting. Any business still going after 30 years must be doing something right. I love the drive thru here, you don't have to get out of your car in the bad weather. I've been here many times I really never have to wait long. This KFC is well equipped quickly fill your order and get the customer on the way fast. Today I got the $20 bucket special. Comes with defult coleslaw and mash( No substitutions). My order came out fresh and hot in less than 5 minutes. My wife was very impressed with the speed in filling my order. Immediately stealing a drumstick from the bucket, she rated 4 stars, Fast, hot, and delicious. I have been inside this location previously, it can be a little busy for lunch and dinner here. I also can recommend a $5 box special. It's a great deal for a quick lunch. I love real chicken, I can get it quickly here, it takes so long to cook it myself over an hour. So folks get your Fried Chicken fix nice and quick, at this KFC lickety split. This location's been here for decades, is a Cornerstone in the fabric of the Commack community. The hitch Is you have buy a soda but they claim not to have seltzer. How can you not have seltzer. That's the main ingredient in soda! And counter lady is pretty snotty to boot. Totally unhelpful. My friend visiting from Norway is basically making me do an unofficial KFC tour, as the last Long Island location we visited didn't make the grade. If you are interested, check out my last review of KFC in Huntington Station, which didn't work out as planned. We had higher hopes for this locale. It is on a major thoroughfare, and is very easy to spot from the road. I was not participating in the dining experience, so once again we used the drive through. The restaurant appeared to be clean and well lit from the outside. The parking lot was free of rubbish, and was bustling. We thought that was a good sign. The line moved slowly at the drive through, and the young lady at the loudspeaker greeted us clearly. My friend ordered a mac and cheese bowl with popcorn chicken. As we slowly inched up to the drive through window, we could see the two customers in front of us both having issues with their orders. I guess that accounts for the speed of the line, or lack thereof. Once we got to the window, the girl was polite and service was fastidious. The order was accurate. The food was not good again, as per my compadre. He said the popcorn chicken seemed microwaved, and the macaroni and cheese was a glutinous mass. They just threw the chicken on top. This review is not only for the restaurant in Commack, but for corporation and the absolutely horrible corporate customer service department as a whole. On the evening of July 6, 2018 I visited my local KFC restaurant. My order was placed at the drive-through. Upon reaching the window I promptly paid, and was told to pull forward and wait because the popcorn chicken was not ready. That I would have to wait approximately six minutes. Not a problem. After about a minute and a half of waiting one of the workers came out and delivered my food to me. I only live about a half mile away, so when I got home I started putting the food on the plates for me and my kids. I ate a piece of popcorn chicken, but something didn't taste right. I had another piece, and it just didn't feel right in my mouth. So I spat it out onto the plate. What I discovered next was nauseating. The chicken was raw. Some were partially cooked, but this piece was raw. I immediately told my children to stop eating and spit out with whatever was in their mouths. I was disgusted, and then started to cut into each piece one by one. I was furious! My kids also ate several pieces before I ordered them to stop eating. They didn't know the difference cause they were dipping their pieces in ketchup. This restaurant has about a 50% success ratio of getting their orders correct. Most of of the time I just don't want to bother driving back to complain and to correct the order. But not this time. My family was served poison. So I took pictures of the food, packed it up and went to grab the receipt. But wait... there was no receipt! There is a big sign in the drive thru window that says, NO RECEIPT? YOUR MEAL FREE. So I drive back restaurant and asked for the manager. I explain the situation and all she does is offer to replace the meal. I was so livid I just didn't get out what I wanted to say. I took the replacement with the full intention of contacting corporate customer service when I got home. At this point, consumer confidence was at an all time low, and I wasn't taking the chance of a repeat, so,the food just went straight into the garbage. I tried calling the corporate number on the web site, but it was not answered, so I left a PM on KFC's Facebook page, where someone replied with a generic message and a case number stating someone would contact me. They never did. The following week I called customer service and was told I would be contacted by the district manager or the manager of the store. They never did. Almost a month goes by and finally the manager calls me. We ended up playing telephone tag, and I finally left a message telling her to inform me what they were going to do about it. She stated she would either refund me my money or once again replace the meal. So let me get this straight... you were going to refund me money that you were supposed to do in the first place because you never put the receipt in the bag? Are you crazy? I'm not looking for a payday by any means, but you offered me absolutely nothing in leu of feeding me and my family poison. Thank god we didn't get sick. I mean, jeez... even McDonald's gives you a coupon for free fries if you have to wait a few minutes to get your food. At this point I had enough and was seriously (and still am) pondering the thought of getting an attorney involved. I was giving them one more chance to redeem themselves. I called the corporate customer service number. Explained everything to them as I have here in this review. I said once again, I'm not looking for a payday, but there has to be some sort of restitution. I said a $25, 50, 100 KFC gift card would be appropriate. I mean, it's costing you nothing. The money is coming right back to you anyway. I was told my case would be escalated to upper management in the customer service department and I would be contacted very soon. That was two weeks ago. I have heard from no one, and now I e reached the end of my rope. Don't print on your receipts and have signs on your stores to contact customer support when you don't bother to reply. This is. I know it was a corporate decision and this location had little (if any) say in the matter, but the switch from potato wedges to regular fries is a true blunder. They were great. Similar to another review I received raw chicken from this location. After speaking with KFC customer service they indicated that the "owner" was going to call me back. It has been a month and a half and I still have not received a call. After some searching I found the franchise company contact information and after leaving several messages I have not hear back. Against my better judgement wanted chicken tenders, it was nearby, so I went through the drive thru ordered 12 tenders, 1 large mashed, 1 large coleslaw, 1 chicken little. How hard is that to get it correct? When I drove up to the window, I specifically said be sure that I receive the 1 large mashed & 1 large coleslaw. He said yes, while on his headset. This is the worse KFC I have ever been to. Had a horrible experience today. When we got home we were missing part of our order(12 chicken tenders and 4 biscuits) when we got home and realized this my husband went back out (25 min away) to get what we were missing. They said they couldn't help him bc he didn't bring the entire order back. He left the other part of our order home with us so the kids could start eating. So not only were we out food but also wasted a drive back for nothing! They are rude when I called them they hung up on me than left the phone off the hook for at least the next hour (stopped trying). I will never go here again! I believe when KFC puts a help wanted ad sign out their requirements for applicants are as follows; only the dumbest of the dumb need apply if you speak perfect English no need to show up for the interview and most importantly if you have a personality don't bother coming to apply. I love the Commack location KFC. I am known as the "Legman" since I order 10 grilled pieces of legs every Saturday!!. Everybody at this location has been nothing but "friendly and courteous" to me for at least 6 years now. Yami and especially "NATHALY" have been nothing but "WONDERFUL" to be. I call!, I get chicken!!! The place is always clean, bathrooms are clean, there's no garbage blowing around the parking lot like white castle!!!. The dining area in there is small and crumby. The tables are tiny and covered with fried chicken crumbs. The hot honey sauce has no honey flavor just a red hot sauce sogging up the once crunchy chicken not so tender. I stop by to get a bite to eat 3/20/17 6:30 pm left my purse behind and the next day went back and they had my purse with all my belonging except one of the employee's that night after cleaning out the garbage for the night decided to go in my purse and took $170.00 cash. I informed the area manager Manuel Morocho who said he was on his way to look at the surveillance camera that but did not get to the location until 4 days later and claims the cameras were not working. Without question the worst experience I've ever had in a fast food restaurant. Took me nearly a half hour to get my food, and it wasn't that busy. No employee here cares. They were telling customers it would take twenty five minutes to make their food. They don't bother calling out order numbers and when they finally handed out my food it went to someone else at first. People were demanding refunds and leaving ..and another customer told me it's always like this. Do not go here!
