I commend the owner for making his own, that takes time and commitment. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of bourbon sweet sauces. They were out of pulled pork at least for a full order which is not unusual for BBQ joints to be out of something so no "demerits" for that. They did have enough for the pulled pork mac and cheese which I give a 2/5 but that was because of the sauce previously mentioned. The brisket was cooked. Was it smoked? I don't know it didn't have any smoke flavor and was mushy, 1.5/5. Cowboy beans were average, a little overcooked but very good flavor, 3/5. The onion petals were good, the other in my party loved the dipping sauce, rating 4/5 for the petals. Lastly there was the bacon cheeseburger mac and cheese. I would wait in line for that. It was fantastic. Crazy amount of burger and literally one ton of bacon(that might be a slight exaggeration). Rating 5+/5. That alone brought the rating up 1 star. All in all average but I will return to try other sauces.

It's a safe menu, sure, but Ernies makes every meal fresh and made-to-order. This means that it takes a little longer (my Italian sausage with onions and peppers took probably 6-7 minutes), but being so fresh and at an extremely reasonable price of $4, it was well worth the wait - especially considering the guys behind the counter were personable and more than willing to chat with me while they were cooking, as it wasn't too busy. From out of town and need to get a fresh Smith's hot dog (aka the best hot dog on the planet)? Here's your chance. As much as I love Sara's for what it is, I've never liked that their dogs sit on the burners for way too long. Here, you don't have to worry about that. Support these guys. It was very windy today and the lady was kind enough to tell us to wait inside our office building while they cook the food. It didn't take too long for us to get our food. The burger was huge and the beef patty was very thick and juicy! They put onion rings in the burger which is a plus. The fries are topped with just garlic cream sauce which made the fries that much better! It's been 11 hours since I ate the burger and I'm still drooling about it. They also have a store called Grill Gate and I'll definitely go check that out. $14 for the combo is not bad at all! Definitely recommend everyone to try if you have the chance.

Roaming Buffalo has the solution. Not only do they grill a perfect cow, but the BISON burger they sometimes have is mouth-shatteringly delicious. It's lean, scrumptious and even a bit healthier. Sure, you pay a premium price for it, but at $8 -- it's still a steal. The husband and wife owners who run this truck are great people as well. Valerie, who takes care of the orders is really friendly and her energy gets you excited for the food. Christopher, the chef -- is a true burger maestro. Their PB & Bacon Jam takes them 8+ hours to prepare and he put some of it on the bison burger, along with some tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The tomatoes I tasted were very flavorful and the other vegetables tasted very fresh. The PB & Bacon Jam is a great condiment for the burger, but only if it's cooked medium rare, otherwise it tastes a bit too dry for me.
