That's all you taste is smoke. I am aware that it's bbq and that the food would have been smoky but this is way too much. Even my father who is an avid meat smoker agreed. There were also 5 out of 8 who ended up with food poisoning. 10/10 not a good experience. Based off of the sickness alone I would not go back. My father called and left a detailed message just letting them know that 5 of us got sick. Last I knew he hadn't heard back from them. The item in common that us sick people had was the brisket.

Nice touch of the butcher paper. The sausage had great spice & smoke. The pulled pork was sort of an after thought as the sausage portion was good, the pork could have been a little more abundant. The décor is nice, with a hand-painted mural in the back room that tells the story of the Que/Dude. Several pieces of art/photography on the walls. I expect it to evolve . . . I enjoyed the sandwich enough that I got a pound of pulled pork to go (now in the freezer after a suitable sampling) one thing I like is that the pulled pork is just that. It comes with sauce on the side although. The smoke and flavor of this pork is excellent and did not require any sauce to be thoroughly enjoyed. I will be going back soon as there are sooo many items on their menu that I need to try. Which includes the ice cream!

Ippa pizza hands-down serves one of the best Neapolitan pizza in Erie. Tried their signature ' Ippa…read morepizza ' that features hand stretched Mootzarell cheese, milled tomato, basil pesto, house made italian cream sauce and pecorino cheese. The pizza has such a good balance of flavors with the perfectly thin airy crust. I definitely recommend dining in as you will enjoy the fresh-out-of-the-oven pie. There are plenty of seatings at the bar and tables. They serve alcohol and gelato as well. I'll definitely go back to try other stuff on the menu FYI, if you order for pick up, order directly from their website (with Toast system), it would be the best deal in comparison to other ordering service.

Once the crew arrived we went to the front area where ippa is being served and ordered from the bar. There were about 6 pizza options, Stromboli, garlic bread and two specials. We decided to order the Rita (Margherita pizza) and Pepperoni squared (double pepperoni pizza) and a large garlic bread. We took a seat next to the bar right before the live music started. The order came out within 10 minutes. This might be some of the best pizza I've ever had I could taste the fresh ingredients, the garlic, spices cheese all of out was absolutely outstanding. While I enjoyed the live music aspect it was a touch too loud. I look forward to visiting Ippa again the next time I'm in Erie.

Check their page on FB if you want to see about new special menu items from time to time. I also saw on there that they were open a few times on Saturdays last summer, in addition to Sunday. Plenty of outdoor seating, tables were clean and well maintained. The food was very good!! We tried several different menu items, but it would take at least 3 or 4 visits to try everything available. My favorite item is their tamales (if you haven't tried these, they are well worth it, in my opinion). They had two kinds of tamales: green salsa with corn/cheese or brown mole sauce with pork. Personally, I would order at least two tamales. Also, we had steak tacos that came with red sauce on top. The red or green salsas (sauce toppings) were the only spicy components. Everything else was very flavorful, but not off-putting at all -- for those people who aren't sure about trying spicy food. I'm sure you could just ask them to leave off the salsa on top of the tacos, if you prefer not to risk it, although if you like spice then it's great! The tacos are also served with grilled onions on the side, fresh lime wedge and sliced radishes to decorate the plates. They come with fresh cilantro in the tacos, as well, which I really liked. If you aren't familiar with the Mexican-style roasted green jalapeño peppers on your plate, just skip them --or-- for the adventurous, be aware that all of the heat is in the seeds. Personally, I love them but I don't eat too many of the seeds. As an appetizer item, I ordered a tostada. If you're not familiar with tostadas, think open-faced cracker with lots of toppings. It's actually a corn tortilla that's been deep fried so it's very crispy and thin -- that's the part I think of as a cracker. Then on top, you have fresh pico de gallo (chopped tomato, probably onion, probably cilantro) and the meat topping of your choice (chicken, beef, etc.) I had chicken on mine. It's a little messy to eat, but entirely delicious. They give you plenty of napkins and don't be afraid to use your hands (or ask for a plastic fork which they have available). If you get thirsty, there's a list of cold drinks (authentic Mexican soft drinks called Jarritos and American soda pop, plus bottled water for sale). I've heard sometimes La Chona Movil makes soup (Menudo or Pozole). I'd love to try either one of these, next time the cooks in the kitchen have the inspiration. Overall, the atmosphere was comfortable although you are eating next to the side of the house in a quiet, residential neighborhood. There is a large park nearby, so you could take food over there to eat or just get everything to-go and eat at home. The food was worth the price, especially since a lot of restaurants are super expensive these days. I ordered extra pork tamales and ate them again for breakfast the next day with my coffee. We will definitely return again soon. We drove in all the way from Edinboro, but while we were in town we also went to the Peninsula -- so that's another idea for a Sunday afternoon... Chona Movil and Presque Isle beach sunset, all in one afternoon!! Erie at it's best!
