It was so good the first time, we hit it again this afternoon. Cool, relaxed feel inside, great service and great food. Jameela served us on both visits and she was awesome. Everything we tried was good, but my favorite was the Pendleton Porker and the banana pudding for dessert. If we're ever back in town, Lucius Q is on the top of our list!

The disrespect started the second we walked up to the counter to place our order. When we asked a simple question about the daily specials, the employee at the register scoffed, rolled their eyes, and patronizingly told us, "The sign is right in front of your face." We were stunned by the immediate attitude. Every basic interaction after that asking for extra napkins, checking on a missing side of five-cheese mac was met with palpable annoyance, as if our presence was a massive inconvenience to their shift. To top it off, when we politely pointed out that we were given the wrong sides with our sandwich combo, the worker argued with us rather than fixing it. Food is only half the experience, and no amount of smoked brisket or pulled pork can make up for being treated like garbage. Save your money and go somewhere else in Cincinnati that values basic customer service.

Everything was wonderful and the beer was ice cold! Additional sauces are on table, enjoy!

The decor and energy in the room was great! The food was slightly above average. My sis had two different types of ribs. My niece had the jack fruit sandwich. I had the brisket Philly. My Philly was okay. There was nothing crazy good about it. I would not go back for it. The ribs were meaty and tasty but, again, not anything to write home about. My niece did not like her sandwich. All in all, I would g g I back to the bar because of the wonderful bartender. But I would order something other than what we ordered. The portions were ample. So that's positive....but I have had better. They get three stars, largely driven by how fun it is and because of the bartenders - not the food.

We were seated quickly but had to wait a bit for service but everything was fine after we finally got our beers and waters. We took our waitress' recommendation and started with the fried pickles and peppers. They were good, if unremarkable. Fried well and a large portion. My husband and I each went with the two meat plate. I had the smoked turkey and jalapeno cheddar sausage with a side salad and mac and cheese. I fully expected to like the sausage more because I adore jalapenos but I was actually blown away by the turkey! It was so tender and flavorful without being insanely smokey. The mac and cheese was really creamy and flavorful and even their side salad was really great-simple but with a good spring mix and yummy toppings. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cornbread as it was served cold and didn't have much flavor. My husband really enjoyed his brisket and chicken, as well. I would definitely come back here the next time I'm in the area!

The decor is dark and rich. Perfect for a "bourbon bar." They have curated the most comprehensive bourbon collection I've seen in a long time- Debbie recommended the Nashville Outlaw Hot honey Sandwich- it was smoking and paired well w/pepper jack cheese- I consider myself a coleslaw aficionado and theirs was some of the creamiest-I could tell it was made fresh daily- Fries were lukewarm-but still okay-

I had the El Jefe and my companion had the pulled pork with coleslaw. First off, calling the El Jefe a sandwich is selling that bad boy short. This is a meat sampler platter on a bun; pulled pork, brisket, sausage and 2 ribs (actually got 3!). Honestly, this could easily be a meal for 2 people. All meats were juicy and not slathered in sauce; not a sauce guy so this was ideal! It did come with a side of sauce if you need to cover up well smoked, tasty meats. I really liked the buns too. They had a nice sweetness to them. My companion, loved her pulled pork w/slaw sammie too! We shared a pint of green beans. I thought they were very good, she thought they were too peppery but she always says that as she's not fond of pepper. Oh well, what are you gonna do... at least she has good taste in men. All in all, an outstanding meal at a fair price. If you're in the mood for some bbq done right and in the area, give Harmon's a try. You will not be disappointed.

Well, the Montgomery in Boathouse is that place and always a must stop when I'm in town because the ribs are always cooked to perfection and the staff is always on point. On this night, I ordered a slab of ribs, Saratoga chips, and a salad. No surprises there. Not much has changed in almost 40 years of coming to The Boathouse, just the hours and maybe the bibs. Ties are not as common nowadays. I also like the distance between the new stadium and the Boathouse. I was able to park under the stadium walk to the Montgomery Inn and back to the stadium for a matchup against the Royals. Great parking, great seats, great ribs, great walk, great night and for under $150 with generous tip, which spectacular deal. $52 Reds, $30 parking, $66 meal and tip. :) I admit I have only tried their ribs and they're always amazing!! Fun fact, I also had 30 slabs shipped back to Denver for a party and they cooked up perfectly and the sauce was delectable! Everyone loved them! People still ask me about the epic rib party I held! If you are in Cincinnati and looking for an amazing night out with an after dinner walk, concert, ballgame, or even to enjoy the view be sure to stop by The Boathouse and make it a night to remember.
