Great new independent coffee shop and roaster!…read more Opened on March 04, 2024, Script is a warmly welcomed addition to the area. They don't overthink it. Their offerings are just right in coffee, pastries, and other beverage selections. Having heard about their forthcoming opening, I made it in on day 2. Steven allowed me to take pictures of the establishment and even answered a few questions for me. With a small number of actual roasters in the area, my secondary objective was to leave with a bag of beans. I chose the Tiger Joe beans and look forward to grinding them up at home and catching that tiger by the tail. Steven and the rest of the staff were warm and friendly to everyone who came in. I noticed something else Script has done really well by design. They made sure to have ample space for the crew to work behind the counter. With three or four Team members at a time working behind the counter, they don't have the need to fight for space and are not tripping over each other. For full clarity, they were busy while I was here, and even with the drive-thru, you didn't sense the chaos that you often find at many of the chain coffee shops. I also observed another sign of great service. Again, they were busy but not insane. That said, there was a wait for your order, but I'd say 5-7 minutes or less. There was a couple who had to leave quickly and did not have time to wait for their order. They mentioned it to Steven, and he immediately apologized for the wait, came around to the front, and handed them free drink cards for next time. Each person was thanked and apologized to for the wait when receiving their order. The appreciation was genuine. Would I go back? Without a doubt. I'm eager to try my Tiger Joe beans at home and will likely add to this when I give that a whirl As I write this, my Vanilla Latte is getting cold, so I'm out!

Or a plate of spaghetti with a variety of homemade Italian sauces. And homemade desserts including cheesecake, tiramisu and if the timing is right...Black & Whites! If any of the above is your thing, especially for my fellow refugees from the Northeast longing for a taste of home, get yourself here without delay. Tony the proprietor is the nicest guy and you can also call him ahead of time to place an order or discuss the dessert schedule. There's seating for about 10 or 12 people and my last visit was walk in and eat right there. About 8 minutes from time of order till the wonderful pizza was brought forth. Gaze upon those toppings. The sausage is excellent! The texture, taste, chewiness and foldability are absolutely perfect. Even my Ohioan friend was impressed. Can't wait for next time!

Yesterday we tried the Corner deli and we had a great experience. Tony was friendly and patient as we asked many questions. :). Very nice guy who knows how to make a very flavorful pizza. PLUS, They sell by the slice!! This was awesome for me because my family all likes a different topping setup. Due to this we almost always just get cheese pizza which we have grown to love and a good cheese pizza can be amazing but toppings are a nice change! Anyway, I got a piece of cheese pizza and a piece with meatball and onions. I enjoyed both a great deal. The meatball/onion combo are very flavorful and enhanced the cheese pizza a great deal.... Then I had the piece of cheese pizza and I have become boring and just love the simplicity of the cheese pizza and Tony makes a great slice of cheese pizza! Maybe get meatballs on the side next time is what I am thinking. We ordered the small salad and LOVED the Balsamic Vinaigrette (Tony mentioned it was homemade)... It was a fresh salad that we shared so it was cool that we could get the croutons and the cheese On the side.... Husband doesn't like them but I think they make the salad :) We had a very nice experience and I look forward to coming back and trying the gravy fries.

Dear Jersey Mike's,…read more Okay, listen--what are you doing bringing this sandwich back like it's some casual comeback tour? Why did it ever leave in the first place? Who gave it permission to disappear? I have questions. This is, without a doubt, my favorite sandwich on the JM menu. I got the Mini Chicken Salad Sandwich and it did not come to play. I'm talking rosemary parmesan bread, hot chopped pepper relish, and Mike's Way (minus the oil, because balance). That chicken salad? Creamy perfection. The celery crunch? Satisfying. The pepper relish? A spicy little wingman who knows when to hype up the main star without stealing the spotlight. Also, shout-out to the Lebanon store--they understand the assignment. Doesn't matter if it's dead quiet or a line out the door, I'm always greeted like I just returned from a months-long quest for the perfect sub (which I did, and I found it). The place is clean, the parking's easy, and the team is friendlier than my grandma's church group. In conclusion: this sandwich is elite. Never leave me again. Warm regards, Amy (Self-appointed Chicken Salad Sandwich Ambassador) P.S. If this sandwich disappears again, I will be forced to protest in the parking lot--holding a rosemary parmesan baguette like a microphone. Don't test me. just kidding

What the village lacks is actual sit down food spots. (I previously worked at the Hammel House with Mrs. Bowman- we miss them!) The Butter Churn is filling a void and doing a good job at it. The menu is nice, soups- sandwiches & salad options. Our niece really enjoys their potato chips (I think they make them in house, I could be wrong.) The decor is eclectic, it feels like they have small collections and perhaps bought things locally from the antique shops. The back room had a Christmas Santa collection and it was expansive. Coca-Cola, clowns, vintage troll dolls- it all just feels like visiting someone's quirky aunts home. It feels homey and nice. The last time we went we had about twenty mins before closing and were popping in for ice cream. We were told...and reminded multiple times that they wanted to be out of the building at exactly closing time. We said we understood (I mean yes- I also love being off work on time) but the constant reminders felt like they were shoving us out the door when we were just placing ice cream orders and trying to pay. It might have just been a stressful night. We did pop in the next day and I asked about their coffee selection. The response we got was a bit dismissive and they told us "we have black coffee, we don't do any of that fancy stuff. Go down the street to Taylor's." I was going to order the regular coffee but it was off-putting so we did as they recommended and left. I know I don't *look* like a local- for obvious reasons. I don't want to believe this is why we received weird service compared to other patrons. Regardless, we have enjoyed the actual food and ice cream here. Our family likes it and visits weekly- I will just trust them that they get good consistent service every time.
