Bierhaul has finally made this location viable after the last folks totally renovated the old stable section of this old inn but struggled to keep the restaurant out of the red during COVID. It's very rustic and cozy inside with a huge stone fireplace beside a racetrack bar. The outside patio beer garden is a perfect place to enjoy a cold beer and great food while the weather is good. They have a great beer selection and menu items are delicious. They offer some tasty appetizers and the wings are pretty darn good. The burger is one of the best in the area as well. French fries are fresh cut daily. Pizzas are excellent and have a nice sauce and crust. Entree items are all very good. Service can be slow and somewhat inattentive when busy tho'. read more

if you are looking for great beers, great cocktails and solid food then this place is for you! Went on a Friday night and there was a bit of a wait which was no big deal at all because the bar area was perfect for having some drinks before being seated! Really great atmosphere and all the people working were very friendly! we started with the charcuterie board which for the 4 of us was tough to eat everything because it was so massive! great variety of cheeses, nuts, and bread. i got the smash burger as my main and it was delicious! prices were very reasonable as well! cant wait to check it out again read more

Food was acceptable, ambiance was lovely, Service was good considering we had a table of 11 including 4 children. I'd definitely recommend going and if possible, sit outside. I feel BETRAYED and disgusted that the tip was 20% on the sum of food/beverages AND PA SALES TAX! I was a server for years as a second job while we had kids in college. For anyone who is or has been a server knows we take care of each other. I always tip more than 20% and ALWAYS in cash even if I put the check on a card. I had pulled out cash to add to what I expected to be the automatic 18% tip. But when I saw the applied tip was 20% including PA SALES TAX I put my cash back in my wallet. So disappointed in our meals (goat cheese salad and pulled pork sandwich). Salad was thrown together and only consisted of arugula, spiced walnuts from a can , dried cranberries and breaded goat cheese. I do could have made it at home 10x better. The pulled pork tasted burned and the roll was flattened: fries wee meh. On top of that, we waited 15 minutes before a server came over to take our drink order. We won't be coming back. read more

Inconsistent food, less than acceptable service at the bar. We have waited more than 15 minutes to be greeted. Our meal... When our food arrived it was not correct. Our bartender did not take the time to check on us. Fifteen minutes later I got up and found the manager. Ugh! BTW... it was prime time and medium busy... no excuse! Here's what I feel was not a great introduction to our first time there. My husband and I arrived at 4:30 went into the lovely bar area and asked to be seated at one of the EMTPY high tops along the window wall...was told that these tables are saved for parties of 4 to 5....which like I said no one was even close to that area....We elected not to force the issue and sat a small table for 2....The food was just okay, however forced to watch couples obviously on a date, getting back rubs the entire time we were forced to have them in our view...Seriously? GROW UP...... I really will never go back, just not our scene...but I am happy to see that this place after many attempts is finely a success... read more

I really enjoyed my first time here this past week. I thought all of the food was delicious and the margaritas were as well. I wanted to sit outside because there's an area for the kids to play but it was too hot the day we went. We will definitely be back to enjoy the patio area! I am also looking forward to trying some of the entrees when they are available as they weren't on the night we went. One thing I thought they did great was they served the chicken finger kids meal in a brown to-go box so all we had to do when we left was close it up and bring it with us. It also had cute stickers in it. So unique and adorable! read more

My daughter and grandkids and I went to check this place out for dinner last week. We sat inside since it was so hot out but the kids would have had more fun being outside for sure. The food was all good - we had salads, fried green tomatoes, the soft pretzel (my youngest grandson adored the pickles that came with it!), corn ribs (YUM - the youngest grandson adored the corn as well!), and the kids pizza and chicken fingers and fries meals (the chicken fingers and fries were really good!). There really wasn't much flavor in the fried green tomatoes (I'm from the South so I know my fried green tomatoes) but the burrata and pork belly that accompanied them were delicious. They were out of iced tea and didn't have any entrees on the menu, but it's a new place so I'm sure they have some kinks to work out. My daughter is looking forward to going back in the fall when it cools off so she and her family can sit in the outdoor area. Overall, I enjoyed our visit and think they will do well there. read more

Fabulous new spot - couldn't have had a better time. We checked it out on a lovely early fall Saturday evening, and although it was crowded there was plenty of parking. We were quoted a 45 minute wait for a table for three, and waited at the bar. Although busy, the service was prompt, friendly and quick with a recommendation. Impressive tap list, with some great local options and some fabulous and obscure delicious offerings from all over. My GF enjoyed her canned craft cocktail as well. We got texted about the table before the quoted time, and were quickly seated. Our server was very pleasant, and even though they were slammed a gentleman who ended up being the owner picked up the slack and took over so the service didn't suffer. We started off with more drinks, the sesame & sea salt pretzel and the chicken lemongrass potstickers. The bier cheese with the pretzel was delicious, and the potstickers were meaty and had great flavor. My daughter loved the kids menu options, and we decided to keep it going with appetizers. Truffle Fries and Buffalo wings were the play, and both were awesome. The owner surprised us with a round of drinks and another special appetizer, the fried green tomatoes with burrata - amazing! Great place- servers were all lovely! Dog friendly too outside on patio. Guinness on tap added bonus. Got the Lobster Grilled cheese with side Caesar salad. My mother ordered the Fish and chips and the Guinness! She said it was delish- Summer tomato Caprese was nice presentation on wood player as well. Will try Pizza next visit. Plenty of beers to choose from and they have small pours so we could make our own flights. So happy to have this new biergarten in our neighborhood! The food was delicious, all of the staff were kind and attentive, and there's plenty of shade to keep you comfortable. You have to go to Bierhaul if you haven't been! I'm the absolute worst so today I only took a pic of a beer but all the food, beer, and cocktails are amazing. We went with friends and tried a ton of things, so here are some food highlights! - wings (we've had "Nashville hot bacon" which was delicious and unique and the gochujang) - fries (get them no matter what and get them with the malt aioli) - bratwurst (who doesn't love) - fish and chips (such a good plate, who knew I would be excited about coleslaw) - soft pretzel (don't leave without it, honestly I don't even love soft pretzels but this soft pretzel has salty sesame wonder) - mac and cheese (live the dream, get it with pork belly) Honestly eat all the things, drink all the things here. read more

Love this place in quaint place. It gets super crowed on nice days so plan ahead. Both the inside bar and outdoor patio have a great vibe. The pork belly truffle pizza is killer as are the drink selections. Depending on the night the service & kitchen can get backed up because they can't get enough help but the staff is always friendly. We frequently stop in Bierhaul but will not be back on a nice sunny day. The bar staff can not handle the crowds. We were seated inside at the bar and were ignored by the bar staff when people from outside started coming inside to get drinks. The regular bar staff is great (Jenny, Mike, and Becca), but the two young ladies today bordered on being rude. Never asked if we wanted more drinks (had to go to the back service bar to ask) or if we wanted to order food, so we left. Normally, this would be a 5 star for food and atmosphere, but today, not so much. Let's get it together before the summer starts! read more

Let me begin by saying how lovely our waitress was. The atmosphere is very cool but we WILL NOT BE BACK. The place was filled with kids which was great, but there were no high chairs for our toddler. Our beers took 20 minutes to come out and we had to ask for them. Our appetizer took 35 minutes and they forgot one. We ordered our kids meals before we even placed our drink orders and yet they forgot that too. After being there for over an hour we asked for our food to go. Our kids had to eat their meal in the car. Once we finally arrived home, you can imagine my disappointment when a vegetarian opened her meal to a BEEF burger, after specifically ordered a portobello mushroom. We were very excited to try this fun spot but will certainly not be coming back. I'd expect a refund for our horrible experience and will be calling to follow up further. read more

The prime rib was overcooked. The service was terrible. The clanging and banging from the kitchen was terribly disturbing.
