Still fabulous! Sat outside this time. Great place for families!!! Food is delicious but not always the way you are thinking. My grandson's syrup for the waffles was not maple syrup but a different Kind and he didn't care for it also the butter was lemon flavored. Just saying read the fine print for fussy eaters. Service is always top notch!!

Nice new go to on our restaurant list. We came here years ago when they first opened and forgot about it. They completely redid the inside since we last visited. The atmosphere is really nice. Farmhouse/barn feeling. Food was great! Menu had some unexpected options. We started with the German pretzel. The dips were tasty (cheese and seeded mustard). Mains: I got the spice bag chicken sandwich with curry fries. Omg 10/10 so good! Husband got the pork snitzel and thought it was great. Kids both got chicken fingers and fries. They were real chicken fingers, not processed mush. Great! Kids meals came with a little squishy toy- a fan favortie. Staff was nice, they were definitely slammed and had a long wait so you could tell servers were feeling it, but kept their cool. They have a very large outdoor seating area when the weather is better. Adding this to our list for easy, delicious dinners out.

I tried this place several years ago during work travel but could not remember where it was located or even the name. I stumbled across it again this week and was happy I found it again. Great appetizers and ambience in a cozy setting. The drinks were awesome as well.

Great spot in PA. The staff was incredible. We showed up almost to late to order food. They were so accommodating and helpful. Both the beer and the food were top notch.

We need more places like Bierhaul in the Wilmington/Philadelphia area! Love the outdoor space with picnic tables, round tables and open grass play area. We like to come here with the kids because it's the only restaurant in the area with an outdoor play area for kids. There is a large connect four, baggo and a few soccer balls for the kids to play. The inglorious bratwurst was delicious with the buttery pretzel bread and mustard. The sangria was sweet and I enjoyed The German potato salad was very good, not traditional but tasty. The kids shared buttered noodles which are standard and they liked them. Will be back!

The food was great here - tons of good options to pick from - all of it was blaring with flavors. Definitely a bit on the pricier side but it didn't disappoint. We sat outside in the picnic area which is a nice setting too.

Had just a fantastic experience here on a picture perfect late spring evening. Being a beer guy I really appreciate the care taken in putting 20+ beers on tap from som of the best microbreweries in the country. The beautiful farmhouse and outdoor seating are wonderful and it was great to see kids having fun in the rolling field on the property. The night we were there they had good music going as well and our waitress was so friendly and nice. Oh jeez .... Almost forgot ... the food .... We tried the Rueben Cheesesteak and Inglorious Wurst - WOW .... Go ... u will not be disappointed.

20oz mugs of a doppelbock was good stuff.

Great time on a Saturday afternoon with an Organ trio in the bar. Beer selection was great and service fantastic. Crowd was good. Disappointed with Nachos we got. SURF AND TURF NACHOS $22 - Shredded ribeye, black lime shrimp, smoked cheddar cheese, sauce, pico, lettuce, side sour cream. So that was all there but it was cold. Maybe my expectations were off. But we'll come back and try something else.

The…read morerestaurant offers pre set dinners (four courses for $85), with a menu that changes every week, inspired by the season and the bounty of Pennsylvania produce. The restaurant is beautiful and still very comfortable. And the service was outstanding. They brought me a little stool for my purse, which is such a nice touch. And they were so helpful and friendly as they stopped by our table to explain each course on the night's menu. I also really enjoyed my wine, and my husband his cocktail. While the experience was lovely, I was underwhelmed by the meal unfortunately. They brought us a little starter (off menu) - a fritter with duck confit, which had good flavor but an odd texture. The first course was turnips and squid, which was okay (I didn't get the squid on the dish - it didn't have much flavor or do much for the dish). The second course was Pizzoccheri - a pasta dish made of hearty, dark buckwheat pasta with boiled potatoes, Savoy cabbage, melted cheese, and butter. It was delicious and rich and great for winter (it snowed later that night - the first of the season). I was glad they served a single portion for two people - because it is rich. But I'd eat it again for sure, my favorite dish of the night by far. The third course was a strip loin with salsify and leek cream. This dish was pretty good, too. I loved the salsify - I'd never had it before. And the jus was delicious. I didn't love the cook on the strip loin - it was medium rare on one end and over medium on the other. The dessert was a profiterole with candied quince and cherry. It was too sweet for me, and I didn't taste much of the quince or cherry. The dish I'd want to eat again is the Pizzoccheri, for sure. It was a lovely meal - the restaurant has a great ambiance and the service was wonderful. I didn't love the food on this first visit, but their menu is creative and it's very possible that on another night it would blow me away. I do love a set menu/tasting menu at this price point and with only four courses - a great value, and a great portion of food (not too much like some tasting menus). It's beautiful spot in West Chester; I'd be happy to try it again if I'm in West Chester for dinner again.

Arrived…read moreon time but got seated about 25 mins after our resy which was a little bit of a bummer cause there was no bar or lounge area to wait in. We did, however, get a pretty great seat in the window with a view of some nice decor, lights, and general street life. The only downside about this table was that it felt like we were dining in Antarctica. The windows and floor trim were old so it was very drafty. The restaurant is aware of this, as they provided us copious amounts of blankets, which we did take them up on. Then we were snug as bugs in rugs. Well, as snug as bugs in Antarctica could be. For drinks, we got the Arneis, Chenin Blanc, and a Quince Spritz. The Arneis was so light and pleasant, a crowd-pleaser for sure. The Quince spritz was a very nice cocktail with a bright honey taste. Now, for the food. The favorite of the night was the duck confit. The duck was delicious and very rich, but pairing it with the apple and sauerkraut really helped to temper that so it didn't feel so heavy. My partner and I have differing opinions on our least favorite (beet tartar & buckwheat cake). Overall, a very solid meal, with some real stars, but we're not itching to go back. Perhaps we'll give it another shot in the Summer when Pennsylvania produce really shines and they have more options for sourcing (and so we don't have to dine under multiple blankets).

That was an awesome wedding too by the way. Great venue. So we were out at wegmens and that made us hungry. So we put in a reservation while we shopped. I was pretty tired so I got a latte. The proudly serve La Colombe. You can't go wrong there. It's really the best coffee around. We got the hummus platter for a starter. So good. Watermelon radishes, cucumbers, carrots. Mostly veggies and a few chips. I like when it's more veggies. I was for some reason really impressed with the cucumbers. They just tasted so fresh. They make you potted bread with maple salted butter. I didn't have any of the butter. I don't have a death wish. The bread was perfect though. Crispy in the edges fluffy on the midsection. My wife got the rolled lasagna and loved it. I didn't not try it. For my meal I got the lobster roll. Even though I was in New England all week having lobster on this and lobster in that. I'm not sick of it and this did not disappoint. It felt perfect. The sun peering through the skylight. I wore my sunglasses the entire time. It's a good place to take some time, slow down and appreciate your surroundings.

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
