Rude? Yes. When I shopped for bikes for my kids, I bypassed the place and bought mine in Ft Lee! After 20+ years of patronage, I am never to step in there again because the owner condescends on his customers! Not everyone who rides a road bike rides 10,000 miles, but a local shop owner should not make them feel inferior when they have supported them for so many years.

Go figure so I drop it off tell em to check the valves and clean the carb/and jet it properly. I knew I had no rear brakes (and my front brake needed to be changed) long story short. (He performed an oil change/greased the fittings/fixed my shifter assembly (the main reason I was there) and never gave him (Cory) "BIG GOONIE "hey you guyyyyssss" look-a-like mf to do any other work except the carb/valves because they were too tight. Granted at one point they DO Do MAGNIFICENT WORK. I MEAN they've BEEN OPEN OVER 30- semi years so I get a call from this big cockeyed hillbilly that says it's done. OKAY. I ATTEMPT TO PAY OVER THE PHONE I was like why not? No answer that made sense. So I go down there. Oh they cardholders gotta be present-sorry? WHAAAT? It's a credit card. Smh. Anyway so now today I will be picking it up with the cardholder because unfortunately I have too many toys and not enough money and ESPECIALLY NOT 3,000$$$I could've gotten a 660r in better condition or even a banshee for what I paid. 1,800 for the bike snd 3k for maintenance. Cmon. Smh PLEASE EITHER GO TO (MOTORCYCLE MALL IN BELLEVILLE,NJ) THEYRE THE BEST. I thought that would be my final run in with Bike Land but boy was I wrong. As things continued on I realized I would a bunch of other things that I would need and Vincent was there to help. He helped me order panniers and racks. He custom fit my front rack and had to send back the panniers as the company had sent the wrong ones. He took it into his own hands to order everything for me and was a huge help. I have had many negative run ins in bike stores around NJ but Bike Land was quite the opposite, Vincent is a knowledgeable positive influence ont the store and all that walks in. Just hope that he does not get snatched up by a competing bike store. Thank you Bike Land and Vincent for all your hard work on my bike, panniers and racks and anyone who has any biking issues should stop by Bike Land.

Did you know that Lake Hopatcong is NJ's largest freshwater lake?…read more And did you also know that there's a great little place on the lake that lets you rent all sorts of strange inventions like a 'pedalboard' and a 'hydrobike' (along with the classics like kayaks and paddleboards) - so you can cruise along the lake, get a bit of exercise, fill those lungs with fresh air and more importantly... work up an appetite (so you can hit The Windlass right after)? I tell you it's true. All true. There were six of us (celebrating a birthday) - 5 on hydrobikes, 1 on a pedalboard. The lake is drop dead gorgeous and we went when it was still early and a bit overcast so it wasn't too crowded with boats and jet-skis and the like. (Waves/wakes from other boats can really dampen your own fun... so that stuff matters a bit.) But I gotta be honest: it was a lot of work. Unlike a kayak where you might get a nice 'bite' with your oar and can coast a bit... the bike is akin to being pneumatic (you stop pedaling and you almost immediately come to a halt as well). And those seats? They are not comfortable at all. Sore dupas all around (the following day as well, actually). But we all had a great time. The crew (Patty and Joe, I believe) were really cool, total professionals, and we always felt like we were safe as well having a great time exploring some of the lake and adjoining islands and whatnot. (We would definitely return in the future but would lean towards a kayak and not do the bikes again.) Wear sunblock, bring water, not sure if it was just me but my right foot was pretty soaked by the end whereas my left was dry (so you'd be better off wearing an old ratty pair of sneakers, regardless). Post-pedal was The Windlass (excellent) as well as some mini-golf (also excellent). Lots to do in this lovely part of Jersey. (But it'll cost ya!)

I made a reservation online. Patty was so friendly and made it a great time! She let me use some sun block and fill up my reusable cup at their water fountain. She told me that I would probably like the standup paddle board better because it had better maneuverability. I took her advice. It was a lot of excise and fun as we rode around and she told me about the history and pointed out different areas around the lake. We even picked up some trash from inside the lake and it made me happy to know that there are good people out there who are also passionate about the environment. It was hot and I "accidentally" fell in and got to enjoy the water a little bit. Patty also gave me restaurant and hiking recommendations around the area and even took a picture of me. You may be able to call and make a same day appointment, but online will only allow the following day. I don't think it's with bringing or risking losing your camera or phone out on the lake, there isn't anything really photo worthy.

At no point should bolts randomly fling off your bike while you going down the Brooklyn bridge going 24mph. I'm a high school student and I had to pay for my bike with my own money. I've been working since 10th grade to help my mom because she is a single parent so for me the loss of about 5k including repairs leave me without transportation as I can not afford to repair it at this point. I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. From the owner Pete: OK, where are you going? (Direct email sent from owner) 1- Last Mile NYC replaces all of the electronics on your bike. The cost of the parts and labor is $2910.54 2- Send your bike back to Super73. They will do their own diagnosis, and determine the issues and fix the problems. Unfortunately your bike is not under warranty, the cost of packing up and freighting your bike to and from Super73 will be around $1200. Plus their diagnostic fee, parts and labor.
