There is also a pet waste area that provides the poop bags located right outside of the dog park gate area. The hours of operation are 7am-10pm. I love when parks offer these nice dog parks for the dogs to run around and play with other dogs. It's a bonus. Hope they take care of this nice dog park and keep it CLEAN!!!

The path along the park is paved and nice and even, not bumpy and hard on the feet like some paths can be. They also have several areas cornered off for burrowing owls and I always like seeing these little guys. The park is named in honor of Pembroke Pines police dept officer, Craig Rupp who served as a K-9 handler and trainer for over 10 years. The park is kept really clean thanks to responsible dog owners. There are disposable bags and trash cans for you to clean up after your dogs. They also have water and water bowls available to keep your dog hydrated which is especially important in this Florida heat. They have some dog tunnels and an obstacle course and ramps for your dog to play in and play on and they have the park separated into an area for small dogs and an area for larger dogs. There are benches for people to sit on and they also have a shaded gazebo where you can relax and watch your pup play.

It was lure chasing with agility and obstacles. It was definitely new for him and he was only thinking of chasing the lure and not jumping over obstacles and through little tunnels and going up big hills and down hills, etc. Nonetheless he was ready, and nothing can stop him. It's definitely a bit of practice of this type of course but after a few tries, it is easy as pie. Nice that this was free for the doggies and they get a time when they are done. They also get a picture which is posted later on Facebook. I loved the one they took of him. This is really cool and definitely check it out if u ever see them. They are out of S. FL. But travel to different festivals. This was the first time we saw them. We signed up with no hesitation! He would do it again and again if he could!

To my surprise, there must have been one hundred kids and parents packing the playground, basketball court and baseball field. A few benches under a large shade tree to take a break from the extreme heat today. Noticed they had a 'Little Free Library' constructed next to the benches. Across the field at the South end of the park was a fenced in dog park where we took the puppy to play with another small dog and he loved it. A water fountain and doggy poop bags are offered. No shade whatsoever so beware.

Emerald Hills has several lovely parks including this one. Park amenities include a large dog park, gazebo, open green space, picnic areas, walking path, and a large, modern playground that was installed two years ago. The playground is several stories tall with tube slides and climbing structures. When I stopped by on a Saturday night for a quick walk around the park the playground rang out with the laughter of children having a ball while a number of parents were keeping careful watch. All of the parks in Emerald Hills are filled with families highlighting what a close knit community this is.

So many little dogs! There's a large and a small dog area. There is shaded areas so that you can sit with picnic tables. There's also plenty of benches and there's a water fountain for dogs so in case you forgot to bring water overall discharge is now our new favorite part in the Kendall area. Looking forward to coming back very soon.
