She also made the reason i want the tooth removed seem like a joke, like i didn't know what i was talking about. I don't get that, it's my mouth, you're a dentist. Pull the tooth out. "Root canal teeth are more likely to break during extractions" Yes, any tooth can break during extraction though, that was an excuse. She even made sure to include in quotations on my referral that i wanted the tooth removed for "Convenience" - you don't know my life. If i have to get my wisdom tooth removed to have anything done to this molar, as someone with Anxiety & PTSD that's a far harder thing for me to come to terms with. a complete lack of respect from the Dr. She could of left it at, "Sorry, i just don't want to pull this tooth" and sent me on my way. Instead she had to make me feel like a child, who doesn't know what i'm talking about. The dental ASSISTANT was a joy though. Very friendly & kind, easy to talk too - & was understanding of my reasoning even if she didn't agree. Overall would not recommend this place if you're looking for a primary dentist.

My appointment was for 11am, I arrived a few minutes early to get through the paperwork. Moments after completing it, I was called to the back where they took x-rays and then got me settled in a room. Dr. Martin is the primary dentist and he's got decades of experience - practiced in D.C. for about 15 years before he opened his current practice and location 8 years ago. I found him to be professional but also friendly and personable. The office staff are polite and efficient as they explained to me how the appointments are held and what I owed after insurance coverage. All in all, it was a pleasant experience; I was out of there 1 hour and 15 minutes after I walked in, got x-rays and a cleaning - now that's what I'm looking for, fast and professional. One of my pet peeves is having an appointment somewhere, showing up and having to wait extra time before I get in the back, then waiting more time to be seen. I'll be back.

I have been seeing Dr. Levin for years, essentially since I got my braces off back in high school, I'm now 28 years old. He has always been honest, never pushy, and never trying to sell me things. His cleanings are thorough, you will for sure feel the clean teeth for days. Also, I say this in THE BEST and most respectful way possible, but Dr. Levin is a total nerd. He totally loves what he does and he's a nerd about it. I want ALL of my doctors to be like this. I want a doctor (be it teeth, GP, or eye, my cat's veterinarian or whatever else) to be interested in what they do, and not just looking at me with dollar signs. This is something I can personally attest to. One time, I tried to tell him that I really wanted an implant for a tooth that I was having pulled, and he talked me out of it, and it hasn't caused me, or my many years of orthodontics any trouble! Smart man. RECENTLY I sucked it up and went to visit a new dentist (I have since relocated to the Boston area). Until then, I never understood why people disliked the dentist....I have never felt distrustful of my dentist before, but I left my *new* dentist, called my mother, and started crying. This dentist told me that I needed all kinds of dental/gum work and that it was a 10/10 emergency and that i needed to make an emergency periodontal appointment and that I must book it immediately or that I would lose my teeth. My mom told me to call Dr. Levin. She actually said "Valerie, Michelle, and Dr. Levin are the nicest people, and they care about their patients best interests...and I know you aren't a patient anymore, but I'm sure they'll be glad to help you out." (As a side note, they also told me when I moved that they would be willing to see me still, when I'm home, and if my insurance was ever not covered by them that they would be willing to work with me financially). SO I called the number, that I know by heart because Valerie (the receptionist) has always had to flag me down and remind me to schedule my cleanings...and they were SO NICE. NOT only did they ask me to have my Xrays and gum photos sent over, but Dr. Levin called me back promptly. The office that I had been seen at here in the Boston area had some issues getting me the photos via email, so when a few days had gone by both Dr. Levin and Valerie called to check on the status of the XRays. When I finally did get the Xrays sent over, they called me back, and offered to see me when I was going to be home next. They even had me booked a week ago just in case I'd want to have them take a look after they saw the Xrays. I cannot even express my gratitude. I've been a bedside ICU nurse for 5 years and I've been bedside for two very lengthy hospitalizations and end of life of both of my grandparents, and I've almost never seen this kind of out of the way kindness from a practitioner. I live 450 miles away, and these people literally took hours to ease my stress and make me feel better, and help me save money that I don't have to sink into unnecessary dental work. This should be your dentist, and everyone's dentist.

While we could not fix the problem, it was determined that I likely had an infection. I took it to Aria to get repaired and shared with them I needed it back in one week because I was going out of town on business and didn't want to be toothless. They assured me it would be repaired on time and Dr. Daniels last comment to me was "I'll stay on top if it". It did not arrive in time, and I was forced to cancel my business trip. Once it did come in (a few days late), it didn't fit properly. This experience was a total disaster. There are many dentist in the Annapolis and surrounding areas. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

So glad I selected them. Lisa Daniel was my dentist and everything from cleaning to cavity was quick and relatively painless. The front desk customer service and dental assistant were also amazing. The front desk took the initiative to double check my insurance before I arrived to ensure I was covered. Once my cleaning was done, I had to make an appointment for the cavity and they didn't have an appointment until the new year but offered to put me on a waiting list for cancelled appointments. I got a call same day that someone had canceled for the coming week. All work was quoted prior to service and final amount aligned with the pre-service quote. Highly recommend.
