The shop is well organized, comfortable, and there's always new inventory to look at. Ive also sold a ton of items for store credit here. I bought a cute pair of jeans from them because revolve was sold out. They sent me used or worn jeans because the tag that is sewn in was missing and the white strings were hanging out. I started messaging them. NO one responds. I call the shop and leave voicemails nothing. One lady says I can return them and ship back. But I shouldn't have to pay shipping when I'd keep these pants had they not been worn, stretched out etc... I would have probably not made a fuss had customer service even tried to rectify the situation. But not calling me back. And not emailing me back a label. I will NEVER buy from here. If you come here frequently, that's how you can get the best deals, because you never know what new product they will be getting in! Nordstrom Rack has pretty much everything clothing and accessory-wise that you could need: pajamas, exercise apparel, outerwear, jewelry, bags, shoes, and more. And oh, the shoes. I've gotten Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, and Marc Jacobs shoes here before. If there's something I've bought here more than anywhere else, it would be shoes. They have a good selection, and if you don't see what you like at this particular location, you can always order something on Nordstromrack.com, which has a wider selection. Say that pair of shoes you ordered from the website doesn't fit? No big deal; you can bring them here to return, and there's a 90 day return policy. My latest trip here was unplanned. I was out doing errands and grocery shopping, and my umbrella broke. And of course since it's Eugene, a torrential downpour started. Rather than risk the chance of my purse getting ruined from the rain, I stopped in here before I headed over to Trader Joe's to look for an umbrella. And sure enough, they had a variety of umbrellas to choose from! I ended up getting a good quality umbrella here for $12.99, whereas the cheapest umbrellas across the way at Bed, Bath and Beyond were $18.99. Not to mention, my new green chevron print umbrella is far cuter than the plain black ones at BBB. In a city with a sad excuse for a mall (the Valley River Center, that is), this is one of the few places where you can get good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, and more.

The woman herself, Celeste, was at the shop when I stopped in and was so warm and welcoming. They have a variety of designs. I especially liked the one with a peacock design, and there was one with some leaves blowing that I was quite taken with. I also saw a beautiful one with a compass rose that was a wooden dial. There was even one with a Sasquatch! They also take commissions and you can send a photo of your pet with which they'll create a watch face. You can't get more unique than that. The watch materials may include wood, mother of pearl, abalone, and so on which makes them really just stunning. I'd love to get one of these sometime because they of course are practical but they're also a beautiful accessory and fashion statement. I was given an Apple Watch that I never actually wanted (it has a couple useful features) and can go many months without wearing or thinking about, but something like this would feel much more practical to me (if for no other reason than having to charge up a watch is just ridiculous to me). I think at some point I'll be back in person or via their website to buy one of their pieces--it's a matter of narrowing it down to which of a few designs I really want.

(Both are super boutiques, with similar aesthetics. This G+G shop is perhaps a bit more "bohemian" in its focus and caters more to a young adult female demographic). There were lots of "Free People" clothing items here, and artisan jewelry pieces. They also carried some cosmetic/make-up and skincare lines (I think they were all organic), and lots of women's fashion accessories (bags, scarves, etc.). I had the feeling this was a smaller, more intimate take on an "Anthropologie" shop - and certainly more local!

Tatiana, the owner (whose name I hope I didn't misspell but I confess I didn't ask how) is so welcoming, friendly, and passionate about sharing the story of the items she sells. She is eager to help you find the perfect item. Visual merchandising is eye catching and would have made me stop in if I was wandering the area on foot. This store is small but there is a LOT of stuff here: sweaters, ponchos, earrings, little stuffed animals, socks, gloves, a few children's garments, handbags, and more. She mentioned that since the items are handmade, she is unable to give specific/standard sizing, but she's putting in a fitting room area so you can try on. I saw several items that I coveted but I'm fat and they weren't in sizes that would fit me. However, my mom may benefit from the fact that I am unlikely to find something sized for me here, haha. And I did buy her a poncho for starters, which will be a gift from us for Mother's Day. It's so beautiful, and I really think she will love it for those cool but not cold days that we can get here. I'm broad shouldered so the poncho didn't sit on me the way I wanted but I may purchase one at a later time (especially if there are a few that are a tiny bit larger). The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the garment. I really enjoyed shopping at this store, talking with the owner and meeting her kiddo who was keeping her company there, and exploring her wares. I purchased a little crochet llama for my baby and a friend's baby because they were just too cute. She also included garment care instructions in the bag for the shawl, which is definitely appreciated. I will recommend this to everyone I know and it's great whether you're looking for a gift or something for yourself. I think the future is bright for this adorable little shop. #1700 April 29, 2024
