    Dondrea does an amazing job!

Absolutely the best experience learning how to style curly hair! The salon was cute and very well maintained. The appointment started right on time. My daughter left with a killer haircut and lots of knowledge of what products and how to apply them!

pintura highlights by Shay :) AFTER: a couple hours after leaving the salon

This was my first time visiting a curly salon. My hair was black and felt like my curls weren't being "seen". This was my first time having any kind of highlights on my black hair so I was a bit nervous. I wanted a pop of color but not super damaging to my curls like traditional highlights w/foil. So, the pintura highlights were perfect option for me. Shay did a beautiful job! (see before & after pic) I'm so happy that I found a stylist like Shay who understood my hair and took her time doing the curly styling process and styled section by section (like I've seen on IG!). Who doesn't want juicy curls? Additionally, Shay was nice and friendly :) Side Note: When I went, it was just Shay and I in the salon that day and no one else. I ended up returning a couple weeks later to have a section of my hair fixed. Leading up to this, I had spoken w/Debbie on the phone and she was so kind and understanding. Additionally, Shay wanted to make sure I was happy w/my hair as well, so I went back to get it fixed. When I walked in the 2nd time, all of the stylists looked at me and then went back to their work. None of them greeted me or acknowledged me as I stood there. I felt very unwelcomed by them as I scanned the room for Shay. BUT THEN I saw her coming from the back area and was so happy to see her!!! I liked it much more back there anyways bc we were in our own room away from the others. When I'm due for my next haircut, I'll be sure to book with Shay :)

Both my mom & I came here to see Joseph (Joe) & ABSOLUTELY LOVED our experience. He is beyond talented, we would both highly recommend anyone to go & see him.

My "after" photo! Whoa. I didn't know my hair could look that good!

Went to #BFH2T for the first time today! I had a highlight, color and cut with Jo Jabsi and just love it. Jo is this larger than life character. He has years of experience, loves what he does and it shows. And, honestly, the title hair "stylist" doesn't cut it. More like hair artist! I've been told in the past that my hair is not easy to deal with. Lots of gray, straight in some areas and wavy in others. We had a brief consultation when I first came in, but he definitely had a vision so I just let him roll with it. Nothing about my hair seemed to be a challenge for him in any way whatsoever. And, he didn't cut off more than he said he would which I really appreciated! He also speaks 8 languages (in case you are looking for someone that speaks your language) and is knowledgeable about giving you the right haircut for your face shape. The highlights were beautiful too...see the close-up photo so you can fully appreciate how talented he is! And, did I mention he has a private room? Pretty cool not to have to yell over multiple blow dryers and such. About the salon itself, it was clean and organized, and the other stylists made me feel welcome. The waiting area was cozy and pretty, and I felt really comfortable there. But, I didn't feel so comfortable in the dryer chair! I kept sinking into it. A bolster pillow would be awesome, and maybe a stool to put your feet on. Other than that, it was a nice experience. I'd recommend giving Jo a try!

Jo did an amazing job on both me and my daughters hair. He scheduled us together so we only had to make one trip. My daughter got full highlights with trim and I had color, highlights and a cut. Jo has so much knowledge on all hair types. He took the time to explain and educate my daughter on how to improve the condition of her hair and keeping her curls looking bouncy and refreshed. He also really knows how to style hair. I never leave the salon liking how it's styled but this time I loved it and he did it all with no product which allowed it to stay beautifully styled for 3 days. I have received so many compliments on my hair and for once my daughter is happy with her color. Thank you Jo!

Debbie did such an amazing job on my curls! I came in for a haircut and some layers and I was not disappointed. I got the session that included lessons and felt so much more educated about my curls. She walked me through every step of the process and explained to me the best ways to care for and manage my hair type all while providing excellent customer service. This salon does a great job at following Covid-19 guidelines by asking clients to sanitize their hands and social-distancing whenever possible. The salon itself was very clean and has such a nice vibe inside with the decor and all the friendliness surrounding the place. You can even buy the same products that the stylists used on your hair. Overall, excellent customer service, amazing results, and left my hair feeling hydrated and defined. A little expensive but definitely worth the money. Great experience, will definitely return. :)

We came here for my 12 year old daughter. She has VERY curly hair, and if you have curly hair, you know how scary it can be to get your hair cut! She had a very bad experience someplace else, and has been very hesitant to get her hair done again. We have had an AMAZING experience here. Through each process, each step was explained to her, and even told her how to style her hair. All I wanted was for my baby girl to be happy with her hair, and we have finally achieved that! We finally achieved this. I cannot even explain how happy we are here! THANK YOU BFH2T!

The before. This was 2 weeks prior. Owner continued to argue with me her stylist only took 2".

I will start this by saying, 1/2 way through and I was sobbing in the bathroom. I have been here before and got a decent cut. Booked for the family on Vagaro to freshen us up before Christmas. I asked for just a trim, with a few long layers just in front. The stylist and I talked about 1 to 1.5". She seemed to take unusually small sections of hair at a time, but I thought...hey...maybe she's just super precise!! When she pulled my back hair to the front I saw things were wrong. I told her she had cut my hair much shorter than I asked?!? She said she was very sorry. When she started cutting it just "came off". To clarify, this wasn't that my hair was damaged and fell off...but somehow apparently the scissors were possessed and had a mind of their own. She also informed me then once the damage was done, oh by the way... I am a very new stylist. I tried to keep my composure but could feel the emotions bubbling up. Excused myself to the bathroom and the tears started flowing. I loved my long hair. I had went on a full color detox for over 18 months to get it in good shape...but now it was gone. My hair texture is such that if I don't have enough weight with length, it becomes very triangular. I came out of the bathroom and walked to the owner sniveling into my tissue and explained what happened. She took me right away while her 3 clients sat, and finished the cut to avoid any more problems. She was very sympathetic and understood why I was so upset saying she too had a similar experience. Why this is 1 Star vs a 2 or 3 is because what happened next. While finishing up the cut the owner repeatedly tried to convince me the stylist only took 2". I kept pointing to where my hair was and explaining it had to be at least 4" (this is through my tears as I still was crying). In the end I hated my hair, and being cursed with slow hair growth... I knew this mistake would take at least a year before my hair is reasonably long again. I went home and busted out the measuring tape and over 5" was gone. No one can mistake that for a trim!! We have since called several times and emailed and not once have they retuned a call. $28 for the cut doesn't cover the cost of the extensions I had to buy to fix my hair until it grows back out and it's deplorable they aren't stepping up to right this accordingly.

I went in with blond hair and dark roots in need of my hair to return to blond. 4 hours later, I had medium ash blond with dark roots. Not what I wanted. I did not ask for ash and definitely wanted my roots to be blonde. Definitely won't go back.

I have been wanting to get my hair colored and I called BFH2T and Katie was so sweet on the phone and booked me with Debbie and it was The Best thing that happened to me! Debbie was Amazing!!! She heard what I wanted and made it happen! She gave me the most beautiful color and look! I recommend BFH2T and I am so grateful that I called and booked the appointment It was a God sent appointment and I am so happy with my hair!

Debbie did a wonderful job fitting my daughters and I in for haircuts today. Stephanie gave my two girls beautiful cuts, and Debbie worked miracles on my curly hair. I can't believe how she revived my curls. I recommend 1000%!

This is long overdue, but I'm so glad I found to BFH2T!! Growing up, I always had my hair straightened and rarely wore my hair naturally. As I got older I wanted to embrace my natural curls and turned to the internet to figure out how to get healthy bouncy curls from the heat damage, but my hair never seemed to look the way I wanted. I figured seeing a curly hair specialist would help me in this journey. I had seen a few, but no one that compares to Debbie and Ashley! They're both so knowledgeable and were happy to answer all my questions. Not only did Debbie give me an amazing cut, but Ashley took her time to show me how I can get the same results when it's my turn to style my hair at home. How my hair should feel and which ingredients to avoid in hair products. And of course taking in all this information can be hard to remember when you get home, so Debbie and Ashley reassured me that I can always call and ask questions. Overall, I had an amazing experience at BFH2T Salon and highly recommend to all the curly headed cuties out there. I felt like I was in good hands with my hair and health (Yes, they are taking all the precautions. Temp checks, sanitization, etc). Although I don't live near the salon, I believe they are well worth the trip. Can't wait to come back! Thanks BFH2T!

I booked an appointment with Joe Jabsi he was on time and he send me a reminder and a confirmation. He was very professional and when i comes to his talent and knowledge in mixing the colors he is the best .Highly recommend him

Uh, ok. She then proceeded to ask what I wanted done. I'm thinking that's an odd question to ask as I'm getting ready to leave to go there. So I half-explained that it wouldn't be much but some refresh in color and a cut. Mind you, I scheduled for a full color and haircut. The woman on the phone said I'd need to come back for color if it needs to be lightened bc we won't have time but said she could do the haircut. I thought huh??? It made zero sense. I had been waiting weeks for this appointment and before I got there or before they even knew what it was I wanted, they were telling me they'd have to do another appt. for color. I was already unhappy at that point. When I got there, Anyssa had a friend or family member in her chair doing her hair so I'm assuming that's why I no longer needed to come early. While getting my hair washed, my stylist was talking about bar hopping tonight with the other girls who were leaving to go get ready and talking about what to wear. Anyssa was also talking about needing to get her nails done still. It seemed my appointment was getting cut short all so she could get ready for a night out at the bars. I had a 12:30 appt. on a Saturday! Like wtf is happening?! As if it couldn't get more unprofessional, Anyssa had her other coworker wash her hair next to me in a bowl while my toner is sitting. The alarm for my toner went off while she was still being conditioned. I have never experienced anything like this. Once I got back to the chair, Anyssa was telling her coworker to set up for her blow out after I leave. Like what?! She cut my hair while she had a towel on her head. You guys, it was the WEIRDEST experience! The friend eventually came back and sat down to wait for her to be done with me. It was clear they couldn't wait to shut that place down and turn it into a pregame/get ready turn-up or get the hell outta there. Anyssa tried to say what she'll do with my color at my next appt. No ma'am I will never be back. Seemed like a bunch of young girls who just wanted to push me out before I got there and were focused on the leather skirts they were going to wear to the bars. So disappointing!

Then we went on an island vacation and neglected to brush out the second wave of tangles. When we returned, the kid had some gnarly dreads that were just clumps of twisted hair. We lovingly referred to the back of her hair as "A 4 piece McNugget." I had spent hours trying to comb it out. I bought every detangling lotion, serum, milk, oil- ALL of it! I made very little progress. I had accepted that we needed a professional, and we even got turned away from a barber shop in Pleasanton. A friend told me that she really believed that her friend Hollee at 3 Palms Salon could help us out. The salon itself is really pretty, and inviting. The house gives an upscale ( pamper/treat yo self) vibe with zero pretentiousness. Everyone was friendly, and my little lady immediately relaxed. I explained to Hollee that she was more than welcome to shave the back (underneath) or cut her hair very short. We knew that we might be going from dreadlocks to punk rocks- and we we're ok with that. Hollee said, "No, I can comb this out, I just need time." I went shopping in Downtown Ltown, and Hollee managed to smooth out and trim a brand new DO! She even added magic sparkles. I was pretty surprised, because two of the tangled mats were at the base of the scalp, what a relief to have everything all fixed up again. Another thing that she did was talk about which products prevent, combat, and repair the Chlorine Damage. She was so understanding and sympathetic. We simply could not be happier with the service, the stylist, the atmosphere, the magic, and the final result! The haircut and style I got was so far off from the pictures I provided. I showed various pictures( front, side, and back) to give Briana a good idea of what I wanted to achieve. My 17 year old daughter's only comment (who recently got her hair cut from another local stylist in Livermore, got a beautiful cut and style) is that it's just bad and walked away. I have had plenty of horrible experiences and haircuts before so it's safe to assume I was anxious about trying this new salon. Once again, lesson learned, go to your trusted salon and stylist. DO NOT RELY ON RATINGS ALONE. I've already made an appointment with my trusted hair stylist in Fremont to fix my hair. I'm willing to drive further out to see her after this sad experience! In response to Varina's review: You had a different experience than I did and it's great that you love your results. But, you had a different hairstylist. And as the owner of the salon, I expected Briana to deliver and she fell short of that. I couldn't wear my hair straight because the cut was uneven; I had no choice but to curl it to hide the imperfections. You cannot deny that my hair looks nothing like the pictures I showed Briana. Would I be willing to risk sitting there again to have her "fix" it when she couldn't deliver the haircut I wanted in the first place? So, while I appreciate your feedback, the pictures speak for themselves. I did call the salon and also left a voicemail on Brianna's cell phone explaining my issue and disappointment, so she was aware of it before I wrote this review.

I had an appointment with Kate yesterday, and she did an awesome job!…read more The salon itself is cute, not ultra trendy and over the top - more of a homey type feel in downtown Livermore. The last time I got my hair cut, I went to a random person at Ulta because I was in a rush and getting out of town the next day and just needed a quick cut. As we started chatting, I quickly found out that this stylist had recently broke up with her bf - and she was wildly talking about the drama. Each chop of the scissors represented her hatred for that man - she ruined my hair like she was Edward scissor hands! It's been over 6 months since I've had my haircut due to needing to let it grow out. Needless to say I was nervous to have a new person style my hair again, but I've recently moved to California and needed a new stylist anyway. Kate listened to what happened last time (because as she looked at my hair she could tell how choppy and uneven the previous stylist had left my hair).
