It always seems to have a crowd which must mean good things. The locals know it as the place to go. The inside is quite big and you get seated pretty quickly. The staff are friendly as well. There is a central vintage diner-like area, and a lot of booths and tables. The first visit I ordered off their special menu which I believe rotates. I got the breakfast flatbread which was really interesting and delicious. It was a soft flatbread crust with tomato sauce, eggs, sausage, caramelized onion, and probably some other things I am forgetting. This past visit I ordered the eggs Benedict - also good. But the star of the show was the "healthy breakfast bowl" that my boyfriend ordered. It's like a breakfast chipotle type of bowl with a delicious aioli, eggs, sausage, quinoa. I would definitely get that next time. Their menu has a lot of options, something for everyone, and various coffees as well. They do breakfast and lunch. As a side note their lime Rickey (non alcoholic) is a tasty soda! Prices are along the lines of any breakfast place these days, but not cheap if that's what you're after. Great place to go for breakfast (I haven't tried lunch) if you're around Ashland.

I found this establishment by searching for a breakfast place on a Saturday. The day I found it,…read morethe wait was really long. I was able to get on the waitlist via Yelp which was great. I wasn't at the location. I ended up being #44. Because of the wait, we decided to go somewhere else. Now two days later, on a Monday, I happened to be driving in the area. I looked it up on Yelp and got on the waiting list. I was #14. When I arrived, I didn't see it. I drove around to the back and there is was. Amazed that on a school day Monday, there were ppl outside waiting. I parked and went inside to see if I could get a bar seat. The bar seating included in the wait however by wait was cut in half due to being by myself. Once you walk in, there's a check in counter to the left, the seating area is to the right. Before being seated, I went to use the bathroom and it was gross. One stall was disgusting after someone decided not to flush leaving only one stall. I'm assuming because that toilet wasn't flushed, it caused the bathroom to smell awful. While using the bathroom I heard two people come in. One being an employee that had JM Diner shirt on it. She waited for the stall I was using. It was concerning that as an employee she didn't attempt to rectify the non-flushed toilet. I went back to the waiting area and shortly later, I sat at the bar. Each person, including the other customers I was siting next to was very pleasant. I'm in love with pancakes. I inquired about them and one guy described them being huge and he asked another employee to describe them and he gave the description of a little smaller than a manhole cover. We laughed and I then ordered - only one though. I also ordered a steak and cheese omelette with a side of tomatoes and orange juice. My goshhhhhhhhhh....their pancakes!!!! No wonder this place's wait is ridiculous. The pancakes were amazing. They were a tad bit sweet but the texture, size, fluffiness was delicious. The orange juice is freshly squeezed A lot if places don't do freshly squeezed. I will definitely come back here with the family!

The staff from the front to servers were so awesome. We called ahead and they accomodated us right away with a group of 10. They told us we would have to squeeze a bit then they extended our table after a new one opened up. The menu was not too expensive but had a lot of good choices. Here is what we had THE MAC: classic egg & cheese sandwich with choice of bacon, sausage or ham served on an english muffin - my cousin said this was delish, perfect for a simple breakfast without the hassle HALF SPOONFUL: two eggs any style, choice of bacon, sausage OR ham, home fries & silver dollar pancakes - my sister said everything was good, sausage was flavorful and not chewy, eggs cooked perfect to her choice of over medium, the only thing was pancake was a little dry but she is pancake picky so it should be fine MEAT & CHEESE OMELETTE: two eggs, choice of bacon, sausage OR ham & american cheese; served with home fries & choice of toast - my cousin got steak for his meat and he said it was perfect. Egg was of good consistency not dry and steak was cooked perfect Salmon Benedict: lox was not too salty, eggs cooked to perfection, and hollandaise....I haven't tasted better than this MAC Benedict or Corned beef hash Benedict: difference with the salmon, min was served on a toasted croissant. This was ingenious, like a sandwich with creamy sauce...soooooo ahhhmazing. Going Bananas waffle: Belgium waffle topped with caramel, bananas, and toasted pecan....can we say YUMMM!!! Steak burrito: we took his to go but it looked equally good Steak and eggs: the steak was so tender and the flavor....perfect Classic burger: my brother in law got this and added egg and bacon. The burger was cooked perfect and the egg too. Grilled cornbread: ok if you ever go here...this is a must...the best cornbread I have ever had! Side of homemade gravy: This was delish!! Side of extra crisp bacon: when we order this, we usually get a bad burnt bacon, or crispy on the ends and chewy on the inside. This bacon here....was perfect. The flavor was on point and it's like it disintegrated in my mouth after the first chew. Overall, everything was sooo good. I commend the chefs and staff for having such a great place to make our bellies and hearts happy. When we visit here again, we will definitely go back to eat and try other things. I suggest you try it out too.

I'm a longtime Jack's Abby customer dating back to their original location in a much smaller brewery on the opposite side of route 135. They have always had excellent pizza which I would say is one of the best pizzas in metro west. As for this trip, I was very happy with the brisket grilled cheese and the nicely crisped French fries. The mix of American and cheddar cheese was tasty but most importantly, the brisket was the leading actor as it should be. Other places I've had this often overwhelm the brisket with too much bread or a sauce that takes away from the brisket. I found this one to be well balanced. As for beer, I had the Hoponious Union which is their IPL and most like an IPA. They brew exclusively lagers and closed down their IPA brewery (Springdale) which is why I haven't come as often as I used to. The vibe of the place is definitely brewery / old factory with tall ceilings and open concept overall. You can watch them make pizzas which I always find fun. They have a great outdoor area in the summer that is worth the trip alone. I haven't been this summer yet but they usually upgrade every year and have had corn hole and other games in that area in the past.
