Festive Breads is astounding! We had the Very Berry Pie for Thanksgiving and it is by far my absolute favorite pie of any I have ever had. The mix of 4 berries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. The crust was perfectly baked and so flaky. It was a hit with the whole family. The owners are friendly, kind and generous. The whole staff are always welcoming and quick with a smile! They offer not only breakfast and lunch but gift baskets as well. I went here the other day for the first time and I cannot believe I haven't eaten here before. I have been living in Northborough my whole life and I genuinely thought this was more like a grocery store. When we walked in, it appeared more like an open cozy bakery/cafe with lots of options for sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, and soups. Not to mention the desserts were just staring me down. I already have a few baked goods picked out for the next few times I visit because they look amazing. I ordered a Vermont maple bun and it was so delicious. I also had ordered the Monte Cristo panini. We sat down and it was a very quick wait for our foot to come out, which the woman serving us apologized for "taking so long on." It came so quickly I could only laugh. I had high expectations for the panini but it was even better than I was expecting. I highly recommend this place for a nice cute lunch. We had ordered the food to eat at the cozy café, UNTIL I went to the bathroom and right in front of the door it says CONSERVATIVES ONLY, which opened my eyes to other political memorabilia and decor. It was not in your face kinda pro hate ambient, but it definitely made me a bit uncomfortable, so my mom and myself decided to order to go instead. Oh, Festive Breads, why is it that everytime I make my way to your door, it's locked? I will try again tomorrow! 8.20.08 -- I made it a point this morn to get up, get everyone ready and get to Festive Breads for breakfast! I got a breakfast sandwich with bacon ($5.95), a spinach and feta croissant($4.85), and a Cape Codder muffin($2.50). The sandwich was huge -- fresh egg, good cheese, and a ton of bacon. According to the menu it was on a biscuit but sure looked like a homemade English muffin to me. I could only eat half but it was good. The croissant looks beautiful but it had an odd sweetness to it. Feta and spinach to me should be a savory creation -- maybe it was from being with the danishes in the case? In any event I think it was good, but too expensive for what it is. The Cape Codder muffin was killer. Orange and Cranberry is always my favorite so I had to try it. It had a nice sweetness and tender texture. I actually ate most of it and I'm not usually a sweets for breakfast kind of girl. They had blueberry, raspberry, chocolate chunk, and Mont Blanc muffin choices as well. Seems to be a place for morning/ lunch with offerings of salads, sandwiches, soups and wraps. I understand the closing at 3 pm now. There were a few loaves of whole grain bread ($4.50 ea.) and 2 French boules ($4 also?). Danishes, twists, elephant ears, and few scones. They also have coffee, both hot and iced, but I didn't sample any. All in all -- nice place. They don't offer much in the way of breads that I saw but what they do have seems to be of very nice quality. read more

Stopped in earlier today. Very nice staff, love the decor and setup. The teal signature color is very nice. I liked the rasberry strudel but the strawberry cheese croissant and cafe mocha were not very good. Coffe tasted watered down and just wasn't good. The croissant was very thick and doughy, not quite right. They were out of the traditional cannoli filling at 2pm. The lunch menu is not that enticing overall but there are a couple ok sounding options. Overall it was not great for costing almost $10 read more

Just had an absolutely lovely lunch here! The staff were beyond pleasant and the cafe area was very cute. Had the Pam Asian salad and a cup of the corn chowder. It came with bread and a small cookie, and all of the food was beyond fantastic. All of the pastries looked great and one of the owners was baking throughout the hour I was there. In a community cafe, politics should not be the central ingredient. After entering the establishment it became clear that if you were not a supporter of Trump on Inauguration Day, you were clearly not welcome. Employees had donned "MAGA" baseball caps and were toasting their new leader's rise to power. The specials of the day were a "Trump Panini" and a "Pence Wrap." And, of course, there was a "free patriotic cookie" included on a day which brought xenophobia, bigotry, racism, sexism, and misogyny onto the White House menu for the next four years. We did not ask for skewed political views or hateful partisan rhetoric when entering this cafe. We only came for a sandwich. read more

I received a gift basket from Festive breads that my cousins sent to me when my brother passed away. I was amazed at the quality, variety and deliciousness of the fresh baked goods. The basket was stunningly packaged and when as I was looking through the selections , there was a packet of my brothers favorite cookies - he ate them every day and called them the white cookies. This is a small little specialty shop right down the street from my house. My only issue is that they never seem to have what I am looking for. I went in there 6-8 months ago looking for a loaf of plain white bread I think, to go with a homemade pasta dinner, but all they had were specialty breads at that time. I was in a week ago to see if they had a baguette, but they said they only have them some days. I do not know if they name Festive BREADS necessarily fits the business model based on my experience, but they do have nice looking pastries when I go in. I have used other businesses in the surrounding area in the past and have more often than not been disappointed. I read the reviews and saw the photos and made the decision to place an order. My apologies to the very pleasant woman, who's name I can't remember returned my called in a couple of hrs. It was Monday and they were not opened for business. The women was knowledgeable and also helpful. She assured me the baked goods would be delivered fresh and the recipient would be delighted with the gift basket. Our friend called us when he received the basket. This friend was in awe of the presentation and the deliciousness of what he sampled. I trust in this persons honest opinion as he is a Foodie. He also so stated, he had no idea this business was there in Northborough not far from where he lives. Stopped in yesterday having never noticed Festive Breads before (we usually turn off before this plaza and head to Wegmans when in the area). I actually figured we'd get a bagel and was happily surprised by the sandwich selection. We went with a panini that had brie, olives, cranberry sauce and turkey (replaced with chicken as they were out of turkey) on whole grain. Delicious. The mail came with a little pasta salad and half a cranberry muffin. Very yummy. The decor was cute and it looked like a pleasant place to sit and have lunch (we got the sandwich to go). I actually can't wait to stop in again and try another one of their sandwiches or maybe one of their bakery items as they had a ton of yummy looking treats. read more

Came here and got a Bacon breakfast sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was crispy, flaky, airy, and not greasy. The bacon was cooked well and not soggy. The egg was good and it came with a little side pastry.
