This is a great place for all ages, but I think older kids will get the most out of this interactive museum. Which was perfect for my family, as my kids fit into that "older kid" category. Packed with more than 150 interactive exhibits, we had a blast checking out all of the VR games, as well as the four-story-high, state-of-the-art Flyride, a flying adventure that makes you feel like you're really flying! What else? There are old-school video games to play, Big Foot exhibits to explore, skee-ball and basketballs to shoot in the game area, a giant white ball pit to jump into, and lots more. This is a very hands-on, interactive museum. I highly recommend Beyond the Lens for families with older kids. Sometimes, it can be hard to find things that older kids will like. But older kids will like this place! And it's also suitable for younger kids, too, so the whole family can enjoy. read more

This place is pretty pitiful for the cost. The 'flight' is rudimentary. We took a couple of photos. Most of employees seemed to be bothered by our presence. The ladies at the counter and the 'flight' apprentice were more interested in visiting with each other than interacting with customers. The only friendly staff were interacted with was the older lady running the virtual coaster and dinosaur Jeep ride. She was very nice & enthusiastic about what she was doing. We would not, however, return or recommend anyone spend time or money on this place. There are much better venues in the area. read more

Such a fun interactive place! And they're so understanding with small business owners. Our family came here excited to do the fly ride and look at all of the exhibits. We were only able to do the fly ride the one day because since we do own our own business, we kept getting calls lol. Obviously we can't ignore the calls, but we were scared Our tickets were going to "expire". Luckily , ASH was there to step in and save the day!! we explained to her that we are business owners, and we have to go to the calls. She took care of us, and reassured us that we were able to come back the next day. Ash took care of business professionally and was super kind. Even complementing me on my perfume!! The fly ride was so enjoyable and beautiful! Love how they incorporate scents, and even light misting when going over the ocean!! Our baby loved it!! However, one con, is some of the interactive exhibits didn't work. Like some of the games. I enjoyed the Bigfoot interactive map as well as the JFK and presidential exhibit. My husband and I loved playing basketball and ski ball. The football game was pretty fun too. They were cleaning all of the balls in the ball pit, so we didn't get to go, however it is very nice to know that it's not a cesspool of infection! I'm glad to see that they take good care of it and they take pride and its cleanliness!! We are looking forward to bringing our little guy to the ball pit next time. We are locals, however, if you're not from here, I would highly recommend spending an hour or two here!! It's So Cool!! I don't have much to say other than I thought this was place was just so fun! There is so much to do here... games, exhibit, ball pit, photo ops and more! We did not do the FlyRide, ONLY Beyond the Lens. It was pricy but stayed there for a couple of hours and had a good time. I would recommend checking it out. read more

Don't bother coming, just like other reviews said. ‐-------- Basically, it's heaven for someone who loves doing selfies and taking photos. There are a ton of various backgrounds and setups for taking photos. They have an oversized Barbie display, aliens, a phone booth, giant aliens, and even oversized video games you can actually play! Let's not forget about the giant ball pit either! That is so much fun but such a workout to get out (at least for us adults)! It was definitely worth it! As a bonus, they also have a virtual scavenger hunt. If you find them all, you win a prize! And we found them all! This was a blast, particularly for my teenage daughter! Visited the "FlyRide" attraction at Beyond the Lens and was absolutely thrilled. It was in the same style as "Soarin'" at the Disney parks, but much better. The presentation was longer, the special effects were more enhanced, and the cinematography of the film was brilliant. This is the closest you can get to a Disney experience while in this city. I highly recommend it to everyone. And after the ride was over, the riders applauded....that's how great it was. Also, I booked the tickets to the wrong location, and was gladly offered a refund from the company. I commend this establishment. read more

We visited wonder works Dave n busters etc but nothing compared to beyond the lens !! The absolute best place ever We took advantage of the combo to include the fly ride. Check Groupon friends for promos. Pay one price and this covers all of the games inside. Play as long as you want for however many times. We really enjoyed this! We did the flight ride also which was really fun! I loved that what is normally an extra charge was included! This includes things such as several VR experiences, arcade style games like at Dave and Busters that cost tokens were set on free play! Play as much as you want! And we really liked the photo ops where you scan your QR code, it takes the photo, and you're able to go online and get your pictures! And this is all included in the price of your ticket! We have enjoyed this attraction several times. The props are fun and interactive. The alien ball pit is always a hit!

The price for the experience is not worth it. It is pretty much a themed arcade with not many games and no prizes. The website advertises "Christmas in July" with a polar express adventure but when we went on July 21, no polar express adventure. The Jurassic escape was not operating. I paid $29 for myself, $29 for my oldest son and $17 for my youngest son. NOT WORTH IT!!! read more

We went here two days ago and had a blast! You could easily spend three-four hours in here. We stayed two-and-a-half hours, because we were meeting other family elsewhere; but we wished we could have stayed longer. It is a great place for kids, teens, and those young at heart. From VR games to arcade games and fun facts to an 'alien egg nest', there are all kinds of fun to be had here. Get your picture taken with Bigfoot. Pose in a life-size Barbie box. Very fun Just went here today. I had so much fun there. All the activities were fun and challenging but not too challenging. All the activities were great for people of all ages. The ball pit was fun. I haven't been in a ball pit since I was a child and had so much fun it really brought me back to my childhood. The VR rides were cool. read more

All of the cameras (fun pics) were not working, the space ball pit was closed, way too many arcade games (more like an arcade) and the actual games were broken (light saber, jurassic, shooting gallery and multiple arcade games). We decided to give this place a shot since our normal go to fun spot had a line wrapped around the building. This place was okay. It had a mix of interesting exhibits as well as games. The biggest issue I had with it was that it was so crowded that I didn't feel comfortable. If you don't do well with large crowds, long lines, and confined spaces, then this isn't for you! read more

AWFUL! The staff is horrible. Say you want to go there for ages then you get to a crappy place. Wouldn't go back if were to be free, flyride is terrible because they wasted your time thinking you'd fly a 'plane' but you just sat back and relaxed. The most interesting activities had long lines, and the Flyride not only was very low definition, but many pixels were dead on the screen, which detracted from the experience. Pleasantly surprised!! We spent 2 hours touring the museum, and I even preferred it over WonderWorks. We had a Groupon for admission, so we spent $30 total for 2 adults and 2 babies under 5. WORTH IT and I'd even pay the regular admission price. First of all, it's stroller friendly, and our 2 year old enjoyed it! Plenty of exhibits and features she loved, and it was fun searching for the "pets." The Bigfoot exhibit was really cool, and so was the alien egg pit! The first comment I have about this place is that the staff was fantastic. They were so willing to put up with our group of 10 that had no idea what we were doing. Very cool exhibits! It was fun stepping back in time and showing the kids a look at things from our childhoods. Got to interact with some cool technology gadgets. We especially loved the Bigfoot exhibit and Michael Jackson exhibit. The president exhibit and arcade was also a favorite of the adults. This museum was a favorite. The gift shop needs to expand to match the quality of the overall museum, however, renovation is still ongoing. read more

What a great place to spend a few hours! Our whole family had so much fun. There was something for everyone here. Virtual reality games, a ball pit, skeeball, and informative exhibits. It even has a mini escape room. I had a lot of fun showing my kids how to dial on a rotary phone. There are several opportunities to take pictures and the system saves your pics in a cloud for purchase later. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. My family and I went here on Sunday February 23, 2025. I pre-bought tickets. We had 2 adults and 3 Children. I am very late posting this, but it needs to be posted. we entered as they were opening, all employees standing around, we started walking through it and did not feel the website had described it well at all. We had been on a overnight Cub Scout trip at WonderWorks and that place blows this one out of the water. when we went, it is not big at all, the ride was not at all worth it, and the walking through was boring and not very interactive. The worst thing of all is that we were the very first to enter that morning, and the is some type of ball pit with dirty clear or supposed to be clear balls, and it looked nasty, the worst was the BANDAID on the side where you step with blood on it. I really would like a refund, no one should waste their time or energy! The workers did not care clearly and we had to ask everything........NEVER AGAIN! read more

This place is an instagramers dream! They have tons of different scenes set up. And a few with automatic cameras. I'd love to see tripods at a few of the stations, but a selfie stick actually came in handy! You get a little card to take with you as the larger scenes have automatic cameras for you to use. They are on a timer, but they don't make any sort of sound/countdown to know if /when it's actually been taken. There are smaller 1-2 people little scenes boxes throughout like a shark, or tie dye, or barbie boxes. They also have some games and VR setups included as well. You do have to pay extra to get the photos from your card, but it's not terrible... Albeit more than I wanted to spend. But I did get admission from a Groupon so that helped. I may come back here again with my kid, and it is kind of fun to do once especially if you like doing selfie rooms and what not. Teenagers would love it here! read more

Several attractions are broke which they didn't make us aware of any of these when asking for our money. I feel if 50% of your attractions are broke, you should give 50% off. But no.
