The second floor was clean and spacious. The place has a lot of room for a family, complete with full kitchen. It's VERY outdated and needs a facelift and attention to details, but it did the job of providing us a clean place to sleep. The towels had some stains on them and there was a bit of mildew on the shower curtain. The front desk staff were very friendly and fun. It is along the main road, so you can hear the traffic, but not too noisy.

This is a 70's era condo development that has turned into a hybrid time-share hotel arrangement. It's sort of halfway between a vacation cabin rental and a hotel room, with each unit having one or two bedrooms and a kitchenette. They're arranged four to a doorway/unit, and the "office" is a clubhouse with a pool and the front desk in a separate building. No elevator access to the second floor units. Pros: - super, super nice staff - spacious for hotel standards, a little less space than you typically get with a cabin rental - "private" outdoor veranda out the back on a grassy area - despite being right on Main Street (don't plan on taking any left turns in season), convenient location, particularly for food - there's a Star Market (formerly Shaw's) literally next door you can walk over to, and the excellent Daily Paper diner for breakfast and lunch across the way. (No breakfast at the 'Resort' but they do have coffee in the clubhouse.) You can bike or have a longish walk to the beach from here or get into downtown Hyannis relatively easy, if you dare. - wifi/TV quite decent, with outlets for device charging in good spots - we didn't try the pool but it was a good size and the adjacent club house looks out over it (no life guards) and we saw other families enjoying it - good-sized kitchenette, although feeding more than four to a room requires spreading out between the little breakfast island and the small dining table. - the sofa bed was big, and the living room lounge area was fine for four people to congregate - the price, at least for us, was right in the off-season. Cons: - a bit run down on the inside. Our unit had a cracked bathroom fixture, evidence of repainting to hide cosmetic scars and previous incarnations (see photo), and one door that was off its hinge and couldn't be closed without picking it up (the hinge screws were stripped so it couldn't be tightened). - the "musty Cape Cod old hotel smell" which is pretty common is present. - independent heating units in each room didn't quite work well by the thermostat. One room was way too hot and the other a bit chilly as a result. There are window air conditioning units, one front and one back, which we didn't try because of the season. - the major problem: noise. Night 1 there were people upstairs and we could hear every step. We also heard kid noise in the front room from the adjacent unit. Night 2 we had no neighbors and could tell the difference quite readily. The units obviously haven't been soundproofed with new flooring separation or in-wall insulation. So.....would we stay there again? Yes... at the rate we got, even with the wear and tear it was decent. It's not ideal because of the noise issue, if that weren't a concern we'd bump it up a star, if we hadn't gotten 50% of a good night's sleep though it would have been down to two stars. I suspect it may be more of a problem in-season. Tips if you do book - bring your own towels (the ones supplied are the very low end of hotel grade) and blankets (ditto).

Each condo is privately owned so pricing varies based on the owner and the specific week, but we always rent from Krsana who has a beautifully decorated condo! I highly recommend looking into this condo for your future cape vacation! Pool, beach, 2 king sized beds, kitchen, parking, and perfect location. The beach is less than a blocks' walk and so convenient to run back in case you forget something or someone needs a nap! The house is great for a larger family (sleeps 10), 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large patio for grilling and chilling, and a gas fire pit for evening libations and s'mores. Everything that you need for a terrific beach vacation is included - chairs, coolers, umbrellas, beach games and toys, and a outdoor shower for afterwards. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the house has a lot of dedicated parking. We enjoyed our beach walks and our strolls through the shady streets behind the house. The owners provide all sorts of suggestions for restaurants and activities so you feel well-cared for. They provide WiFi and a couple of large-screen TVs, as well as iPads for the kids, lots of board games, and a virtual reality set. I am sure the fireplaces add a lot of ambiance in the cooler months, so we look forward to returning again and again.

The center can accommodate individuals or groups (large and small). Keep in mind, depending on which building you are in, there may be some noise associated with the activity level of other renters. One good thing about the village is that there is "quiet time" between 10pm and 8am. Quiet time within buildings begins at 11pm (hopefully honored by guests). So, you should be able to get a good night's sleep.

Toilet could not adequately fit my 6 foot 5 son and the smell caused him to have an autistic ocd episode. I tried to explain my concerns to owner but he was not interested. His answer was unit was adequate and he had removed urine stained mattress cover. He did nothing to ease our dissatisfaction and refused to refund any of our money.

The size and layout was great. The upkeep and maintenance and ultimately the cleanliness, left much to be desired. We had to spend some of our own time killing bugs when we arrived in the room. The cottage is old! The cottage needs renovations desperately and when it happens, I am sure it will be lovely but for now I would avoid cottage 7. I emailed pictures of the filth and the bugs to the cottages and they returned with a call where they said they would send the cleaning crew back. They did and all they did was clean the floor. This cottage needs a deep clean and to be renovated to be lovely once again. However, the water view, the peaceful and serene setting is magic! The sand was very seaweed filled which was not the case last year. It only took away from the beauty a bit. The green setting with bbqs and picnic tables is quaint. Reminder that there's no ac unless you stay in the motel area. The location is wonderful!

We discovered Norris cottages 4 years ago and since then come here every year. The cottages (we…read morestayed in both) are very clean and cozy. They are located at a quiet street and at the same time are in walking distance from Main street with shopping and restaurants, and from Hyannis port. Keyes Memorial beach is only 5 minutes away. We enjoyed walking to the picturesque area around Hyannis country club with beautiful mansions and historical Kennedy compound. Elaine is a great host: she immediately responds to all our requests and makes sure the guests feel comfortable. I can highly recommend the Norris cottages hosted by Elaine and John and planning to come back next year.
