The size and layout was great. The upkeep and maintenance and ultimately the cleanliness, left much to be desired. We had to spend some of our own time killing bugs when we arrived in the room. The cottage is old! The cottage needs renovations desperately and when it happens, I am sure it will be lovely but for now I would avoid cottage 7. I emailed pictures of the filth and the bugs to the cottages and they returned with a call where they said they would send the cleaning crew back. They did and all they did was clean the floor. This cottage needs a deep clean and to be renovated to be lovely once again. However, the water view, the peaceful and serene setting is magic! The sand was very seaweed filled which was not the case last year. It only took away from the beauty a bit. The green setting with bbqs and picnic tables is quaint. Reminder that there's no ac unless you stay in the motel area. The location is wonderful!

They are beautifully decorated and located across from the beach. These cottages have stoves, refrigerators, grill, panic tables, chairs, etc., just like home. One can cook, grill, and relax either at their own individual cottage or walk over to the beach. There are also restaurants, and other eateries nearby. A convenient store that sells everything you would want across the street. The units are in great condition with a private patio. The property has pools, jacuzzi, and use of beach towels and sand chairs. It's not a Hilton, but its perfect, affordable, pleasant, beach getaway.

Very comfortable along with everything we needed, plates glasses, pots ,pans etc. the bed is comfy and the view is stunning. Very clean and tidy.Tim the property manager is very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend this unit if available as some other units do not have as nice of a view as this one. There are many nice restaurants to enjoy with plenty of other things to do or just walk across the street plop your beach chair down and enjoy the beach!

Everybody I know has always told me I need a vacation, so this year, my boyfriend and I decided to take one. I selected a few places and bookmarked them on my laptop and had my boyfriend take a look at them and call the places he was interested in. We narrowed it down to two options, and Oceanside Condos was one of the two. While I was at work, he called and spoke with Jackie. When I got home, he had a lot of information written down that Jackie had provided, and told me that she was very friendly. We pondered the idea for about a week, then booked the room. Finally, our vacation day came. When we arrived, Jackie greeted us by name and was very helpful, providing us with a list of places in the area, and she even went through the list with us and told us what the best places in the area were. We checked into our room; it was even more beautiful than what the pictures had depicted. The view from our balcony, overlooking the pool and the ocean, was to die for. The room was clean from top to bottom. They supplied pots and pans for guests, so we were able to cook if we didn't feel like going out to eat. The first two days, the weather was wonderful. Other than that, it was rather yucky out, but we still made the best of our vacation. Regardless of how the weather was, the view from our room remained beautiful. Rain or shine, we were at the beach at least once a day. Every time we walked [or drove] by the office, Jackie greeted us with a smile and waved to us. Also, there is a really nice man named Dave that watches over the place at night, which made us feel more comfortable and secure, considering neither of us knew the area that well. Both Jackie and Dave are really sweet and do their jobs well. They gave us plenty of privacy, and at the same time, they were always there if we had any sort of question. They were even nice enough to allow me to use their office phone to call my father when I had lost my phone on the beach. At Oceanside Condos, we both felt welcome. All in all, I would strongly recommend Oceanside Condos to anybody who is looking for an affordable vacation with a great ocean view. Like any other place you will stay at, there are rules to be followed, such as no animals on the property, no glass bottles in the pool area, and a maximum of four guests per room (per Massachusetts occupancy laws). I don't find these rules unnecessary at all, for the owners are just doing their job and protecting their license. Therefore, if you don't like following rules, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking to rent a beautiful, affordable condo on the ocean with the friendliest staff you will ever meet, I promise this will be the place for you. Thank you, Jackie and Dave, for allowing us to spend a week with you. We will be returning next year.

It was absolutely fantastic, right on the beach - the nicest beach in my experience on the Cape. It was so clean that I never used any of the wipes I brought, I felt totally safe. There is every kitchen facility you could want - including a blender! - but I mostly had take-out and there are lots of great restaurants a short drive away, as well as optional beaches, walks, and bicycle hire. For people who respond to the number of stars, I think this office is stellar when it comes to local knowledge and vacation rentals. Personally, I try to read all reviews to get a more balanced perspective. Just as one waiter's error shouldn't kill a great restaurant, one broker's error shouldn't taint an entire office of hard-working people--especially in these trying times. I was very patient with him because he is in his late 70's and it is clear his memory is failing, but this agent is impossible to work with. You tell him something and then he forgets and then he lies to cover up the fact he forgot and then he blames and round and round you go. It is a complete nightmare. My final gripe is that I was left with the impression that he overprices homes to get the listing - and if yours is his only one, he keeps it overpriced, just so he can pretend to be busy. I was going to say that I hope he retires before he damages his reputation, but based on other reviews here it seems he has already done that. Oh and if you make the mistake of relying on the Zillow reviews as I did, just know that Tom OHearn could have written those reviews about himself. IMO many of them read like they were written by the same person.
