Very comfortable along with everything we needed, plates glasses, pots ,pans etc. the bed is comfy and the view is stunning. Very clean and tidy.Tim the property manager is very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend this unit if available as some other units do not have as nice of a view as this one. There are many nice restaurants to enjoy with plenty of other things to do or just walk across the street plop your beach chair down and enjoy the beach!

Everybody I know has always told me I need a vacation, so this year, my boyfriend and I decided to take one. I selected a few places and bookmarked them on my laptop and had my boyfriend take a look at them and call the places he was interested in. We narrowed it down to two options, and Oceanside Condos was one of the two. While I was at work, he called and spoke with Jackie. When I got home, he had a lot of information written down that Jackie had provided, and told me that she was very friendly. We pondered the idea for about a week, then booked the room. Finally, our vacation day came. When we arrived, Jackie greeted us by name and was very helpful, providing us with a list of places in the area, and she even went through the list with us and told us what the best places in the area were. We checked into our room; it was even more beautiful than what the pictures had depicted. The view from our balcony, overlooking the pool and the ocean, was to die for. The room was clean from top to bottom. They supplied pots and pans for guests, so we were able to cook if we didn't feel like going out to eat. The first two days, the weather was wonderful. Other than that, it was rather yucky out, but we still made the best of our vacation. Regardless of how the weather was, the view from our room remained beautiful. Rain or shine, we were at the beach at least once a day. Every time we walked [or drove] by the office, Jackie greeted us with a smile and waved to us. Also, there is a really nice man named Dave that watches over the place at night, which made us feel more comfortable and secure, considering neither of us knew the area that well. Both Jackie and Dave are really sweet and do their jobs well. They gave us plenty of privacy, and at the same time, they were always there if we had any sort of question. They were even nice enough to allow me to use their office phone to call my father when I had lost my phone on the beach. At Oceanside Condos, we both felt welcome. All in all, I would strongly recommend Oceanside Condos to anybody who is looking for an affordable vacation with a great ocean view. Like any other place you will stay at, there are rules to be followed, such as no animals on the property, no glass bottles in the pool area, and a maximum of four guests per room (per Massachusetts occupancy laws). I don't find these rules unnecessary at all, for the owners are just doing their job and protecting their license. Therefore, if you don't like following rules, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking to rent a beautiful, affordable condo on the ocean with the friendliest staff you will ever meet, I promise this will be the place for you. Thank you, Jackie and Dave, for allowing us to spend a week with you. We will be returning next year.

We actually had a 1.5 star experience but I rounded up to 2 because they have a pool, hot tub,…read morebeach access, and nice, spacious rooms that include a little sitting area, kitchenette, and tiny balcony. What could be wrong, you ask. Well how about the fact that it was a nonstop weird sales pitch to try to get us to buy a time share. Let me back up. On check in, we were greeted by an unfriendly guy who clearly hates his job, and we were told to wear red elastics so we could be identified as guests when we were in the pool, etc. If we didn't return these elastics at the end of our stay, we would be charged $5 per elastic. For $5, I could buy a bag of red elastics and hand them out all over town. So anyway, right off the bat we were treated like children who couldn't be trusted. We were also given a piece of paper to put on the dashboard to prove we could park there. It wasn't enough to give our license plate and make and model of the car. And the rules continued. Rules upon rules. Only one beach towel per person per day. If you don't return the beach towel, you'll be charged for it. Cheap bastards! Nice resorts have piles of towels available for guest usage, but sure, I'll dry myself off after exiting the pool and then carry a damp towel around for the rest of the day. The pool rules were excessive as well. No diving, no running, no glass, no food, no fun. I mean, I get it, you don't want people to get hurt because you're liable. But then why have us sign a lengthy waiver form on check in? I get the need for rules, but the sign to the pool area was just a big list of don'ts. There was no restaurant, no bar, and no beach chairs to use. The private beach was about 20 feet of sand with fences on both sides and big signs with more rules. No trespassing! No running on the stairs to the beach. Etc. But what really takes the cake is the activities room where three desks are located. We went in on our first morning and were looking around - couch, tv, glass windows showing the patio area - when suddenly a guy behind the desk catches sight of me and my husband, and says "Sir? Excuse me sir?" And proceeds to ask if we will take 10 minutes to listen to a pitch about buying a time share. I think his name was Walter and not only was he sexist and rude, but pushy as hell. We said no thanks, we weren't interested in a time share but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He kept trying to convince us and said "all of our owners are very happy!" Maybe so Walter, because they have all drunk the koolaid at ocean cult on smugglers beach. Time shares are scammy and if we ever wanted to consider one, we would not pick a place with no restaurant, limited towels, sexist staff, and rules against fun. Really, this place has some nerve. It was basically a more expensive motel 6. My husband returned to the room to grab something, and found the room phone ringing. Wouldn't you know, it was Walter calling, wanting to know if we had heard the good news. My husband told him, again, no thank you, we don't want a time share. And that was the extent of our stay. It made me feel gross and in need of a shower. This place has potential. Get a restaurant onsite, or at least a bar. Heat the pool maybe. Provide beach chairs and more than one towel. Fire Walter. Be polite to your guests. Be welcoming, stop charging ridiculous fees. Ice cream socials are a cute idea, but don't charge $5 each for a bowl of Hood ice cream (yes I asked where it was from. What a great opportunity to support a local business. Nope.) It's great that they have movies you can borrow and crafts you can partake in (for a fee). But nothing could make up for the way we were treated and the things this place is lacking. We won't be back Ocean Cult. And we definitely won't be purchasing a time scam.

The air conditioning sucks. Our " water view" is more like a parking lot view. I can reach out onto the patio and touch a car. Maybe if I stand on top of a car I can see this ocean. My ice bucket is plastic! My pillows are lumpy. I was sucked in by the words " Ocean club" don't get excited people. There is no club here. There isn't even a bar or restaurant! This is by definition, not a club! Don't stay here, don't consider staying here. You'll be hearing my words in the back of your mind. You'll say to yourself.
