My mom and I decided to try something new and had lunch here and never will return. $65 for lunch for both of us (together). Outrageous!!! I can go to Harris County Smokehouse and eat for 4 on that price! The guy offered a sample of pork butt and we said ok, thinking he was going to actually give us a small bite (sample) and rung us up for a whole order!! We should have walked out when she gave us our total. I know for a fact we wont be back. Brisket was dry and no flavor! Not much sides to choose from also. Again HCS has a lot of sides to choose from, rolls & cornbread. Bexar had none of those. read more

Wow! I don't know what was better the customer service or the food. My husband and I tried all three tacos with baked potato salad and beans. Everything was spectacular and the portions were huge. Can't wait to come back and try everything else. read more

First time to eat here, brisket was dry and hard, sausage was bland, rib was decent, turkey was okay, hot potato salad was not good, beans were the best part. One of the workers asked us how was the meal and we let him know it about the brisket and was told it was a hit or miss on the brisket?? Wouldn't you serve your best for your customers? Not going back. read more

This is some legit barbecue. The meats are high quality, and it's the sides that are amazing. Highly recommend the Bexar beans. Great family that owns and runs it and it is the complete opposite of a chain barbecue place as this is their only place and they run it very well. The owner is meticulous on the cuts and selection of meats. Recommend highly! - DT read more

I think this is the best brisket I've ever had. Not soggy. Great bark and flavor. Not too fatty, not too lean... truly an expert postmaster! The sauces were fantastic also. The owner came by and had a genuine conversation with us. Outstanding, great ambiance. Don't forget the banana pudding... wow! Excellent, wish I could give it 10 stars. Will be back read more

Every time we come here from San Antonio for baseball this amazing barbecue never disappoints! It is So so so so so so so so amazingly great! Today we had the tacos and the brisket and potato with turkey on it! Crazy great!!! And the gentleman that owns this place is always out-of-the-way nice! I'd give it 10 stars if I could read more

Out of towners looking for good Texas BBQ, found it at Bexar! Ordered the beef rib, taco trio, potato salad, casa corn, slaw. Yum! Not the cheapest but some of the best BBQ I've had. Will be back again! read more

I've never left a review before, but I felt compelled this time. I ate the best two things in my life today: Bexar's ribs and "Candied Ends" (I may have that name wrong). The meat was tender, and the slightly sweet sauce with peppery rub on the meat were a perfect blend. I had the sausage which wasn't my favorite, but the sausage was of good quality and very juicy. Don't skip trying it because of me. I have a very specific sausage flavor that I like. The owners were kind and service oriented. I would have included a picture, but I couldn't stop eating long enough. read more

Very dry chop beef sandwich and very greasy sausage. Apparently the 5 stars reviews were written by their friends.

I made my first trip to the Tomball Farmers Market yesterday. As I left I stopped at this booth to get street tacos. They were so good. The couple are friendly and you can tell proud of their product. Good news, they will be opening up a restaurant soon. Exact date not available yet, but I wish them all the best and will be watching. read more

absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I had the Bexar Burger and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. They even put a cute little texas flag at the top of the burger. I highly recommend trying their (hot) baked potato salad....just fabulous. read more

Oh my gosh, I had this brisket at a festival in Tomball, and have been dreaming of it ever since. I forgot the name and couldn't ever find it again. I'm so glad I stumbled across it on yelp, can't wait to eat it again!! read more

This is some of the best barbecue in Texas !!! The brisket is moist and tender and has just the right amount of meat to fat ratio to make it the most flavorful brisket I've ever eaten !!! Also their homemade barbecue sauce is to die for !!! Pork ribs are also excellent and highly underrated. They also make a great street taco from their brisket with a sauce that is both sweet and spicy , add a little onion and cilantro and you won't find a better street taco anywhere in the country . My wife and I drive over from Conroe TX about a 30 mile drive at least once a week and we are never disappointed!!! Another plus is it's the only clean Barbecue restaurant I've ever eaten at in Texas !!! Most of the pretty good ones aren't too fussy about cleanliness!! read more

This is my new favorite bbq! My husband is what you would call a bbq connoisseur & I just ride along for the good bbq.. lol. We took a chance and ordered about 4 lbs of brisket the other day for a small family gathering and we were not disappointed! We will definitely be back! The lean brisket was extremely moist and flavorful and the regular one was amazing as well! The brisket paired very well with bread, grilled onions, and that sauce! Omg!! Can't wait to go back! read more

There are a lot of great BBQ options around and this is one of them. I've been several times in the last few months and have enjoyed everything I've had so far. read more

Great food, and staff walked around the whole time. Need to look into team building event #imgoingback

Had read about so had to try a new BBQ shop - rating as always primarily driven by the brisket. Was there about an hour before closing and had requested loose cut but well trimmed. Brisket had good charring but a lot of chunks of fat. Manager stopped by to chat asking how we liked it - didn't want to hurt his feelings so said it was good but then he asked about the amount of "meat" set aside. Told him more fat than I cared for - he mentioned he had noticed that when carving it but since they were about to close - he didn't want to cut into another brisket. Given this is a new entrant in a crowded BBQ market - would have thought he would have been focused on putting his best offering forward. I have driven past it a few times but have yet felt the need to stop - will give it the benefit of the doubt and try it again sometime - but disappointed in the philosophy and approach especially given the newcomer status. read more

The family and I ended up in Tomball after a long morning/afternoon of kids soccer. The kids asked about BBQ earlier in the week and since we happened to be a mile away from Bexar BBQ we decided to give it a try. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and very helpful. We ordered pork ribs, brisket - moist, brisket tacos, a pulled pork sandwich, the casa corn, and a mini sweet potato pie. The kids immediately said this was their favorite BBQ after taking bites of the brisket and ribs - they're pretty picky about what tastes good and what doesn't, so I trust their judgement when it comes to BBQ. The rub on the ribs was sweet but not overpowering with enough spice - same with the brisket which was extra moist and extra delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was tender and flavorful as well. My son enjoyed the tacos too. He was in heaven. I took a bite of the tacos and felt the same way. My wife enjoyed the casa corn and it's myriad of flavors. The mini sweet potato pie was delicious as well, it had shredded coconut on top - a nice touch. The original BBQ sauce was definitely one of the best we've had, not too peppery and not too sweet, just right. We even bought a bottle of Liquid Gold before we left. We will definitely be back!!! read more

Tried this place yesterday, and the only disappointing thing was that they were sold out of a couple items that I wanted to get (I didn't get there until about a hour before they closed). Their brisket is up there as some of the best I've had.... great bark and moist! Sides were good as well. The beans had a nice amount of heat, and really good flavor. Potato salad was also very good... I'll definitely be going back to sample some more of the meat options.... candied burnt ends sound great! read more

This is the best BBQ I have ever had seriously! The beef rib is so good you can't stop eating it. Great atmosphere and friendly people. I wish they were open 7 days a week. read more

I would give the brisket 10 stars if I could. I am a Texas girl, born and raised. Lived in the Panhandle, San Antonio, and Houston. Visited Salt Lick (very good food!!) and the like. Bexar County Brisket is the BEST brisket my family (mom, mom in law, husband, and me) have EVER eaten. Not kidding here - I don't know how they do it - I go to the farmers market for this almost weekly! read more

We had the street tacos today at Tomball Farmers Market. They were fantastic!! I will be going back and trying more, definitely recommend these guys! read more

We happened upon them at the Thomball Famers Market and are so delighted we did! We had the street tacos which were a flavor explosion with brisket, onions, cilantro, lime, pickles and their signature BBQ sauce! We had it all and it was top notch! Wash it down with sweet tea - God I love the south! Great service - go, go, go check them out. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have bought sliced brisket to take home a few times from BCB and the meat had a great bark flavor and was tender and juicy. Nothing like what you get at most bbq restaurants. The couple that runs the place is kind and their food is great. I'll go back when I pass through downtown Tomball and see the Farmer's Market. read more

This brisket is absolutely amazing. I've lived in Texas my whole life and this is quite possibly the best I have ever had. Didn't even need any sauce or condiments. Well DEFINITELY be coming back for more... read more

They are set up most Saturdays at the Tomball Farmer's Market and it's the first stop we make every Saturday. Their brisket street tacos are some of the best tacos I've ever had, no joke. The tortillas are home made and the onion and cilantro pair really well with the brisket. read more

This was such a fun and mellow stop! The food is great no frills but so delicious ! I tried it at the farmers market and have been wanting it again since. read more

Yes, it is good. Is it $20/lb. good? No. Doesn't help that the portion just "happened" to be 33% over what I asked for, makes me wonder how often that occurs. If it were me I would either write off the overage at that price, or learn to cut more accurately. read more

Literally the best brisket my husband and I have ever tasted! The brisket is always juicy and oh so good that you don't need sauce at all. However, the handmade sauce they make is so good it makes the brisket really happy. Husband and wife team are always friendly and we enjoy going out to see them at Tomball Farmers Market. Highly recommend trying the brisket you will thank me!! read more

First time customer-excellent! I'm not a big meat eater, so I'm pretty picky about what I eat. Their brisket passed my test! I will be back for the tacos and candy ends! read more
