good selection here. on weekends, parking may be problem at peak hours. wine tasting is good here. the trek to your car may be a long one.

If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered alcohol to be delivered for our wedding day from here. They had a 2 hour window to arrive and it never showed up. I had to call them 20 min before my ceremony was supposed to start to ask what was going on and their excuse was that the driver called in sick that day. I don't understand how the driver could be the only one who knew they had a wedding delivery that day especially when we placed our order with the manager. We almost didn't have alcohol for our wedding and on top of that my husband requested a call to follow up on what happened and we haven't heard a word. Went in today looking for Koloa Rum and Rum Jumbie and they did not have either product. They looked it up on the computer and could not order them either. That was disappointing but not why I decided to give the store one star. A manager at the Oak Grove store had taught me I could mix and match wines during the 5 cent wine sale. I loved that. Since they had neither product I was looking for I decided to buy my wife a couple bottles of wine. I chose two bottles, both priced at 19.95 and both in the 5 cent sale. I was told that mixing the wines was no longer allowed. I would have to choose one or the other. I gave both back to the employee and left without making a purchase. They knew they had failed to sell me two items and still wanted to make my life difficult. read more

I've never once been disappointed here... even found an elusive German beer my boyfriend loves so much. They got all of your beverage (plus more) needs. Go off peak hours if you can... the location can be hell to get out of. read more

The rating of 4 stars here is a comparison to other bevmo locations. This is a little smaller and less variety than the one I used to go to prior to moving to walnut creek. Bevmos a whole has really good deals on alcohol. The best deals are during 5 cent wine sales. Great opportunity to try some new wines and I use and app on my phone that scans barcodes so I can get an idea of the wine prior to buying it. I suggest this for those that aren't really sure which one to get. read more

Would give them 5 stars but Bev Mo gets only 4 Stars because of there failure to ask for ID at check out. Even thou they have it in writing as a policy and it is required by law not to long ago my wife and I made a purchase of over $200 in merchandise and they never checked for ID when using my Credit Card. Good thing my card was not stolen. read more

More booze than even a raging alcoholic could handle! Seriously, is there any type of liquor this place doesn't carry? Not always the cheapest bet, the selection makes up for it in convenience when you need specialty liqueurs for fancy drinks. Also, they have a surprisingly large selection of stemware from cheap "I don't care if my tipsy friends break this" stuff all the way up to top of the line Riedel wine glasses and decanters. read more

These guys are so great!!! They let me reserve the last 3 bottles of Joseph Phelps Cabernet for pick-up during the Christmas season. I phoned in a request to have a bottle of Lillet Blanc chilled and ready for pick-up on my way home from work. And chilled and ready it was! :) Lastly, Walnut Creek BevMo always has a favorite in stock: Schramsberg Cremant. Heavenly! Just ask, they'll chill that for you too! One warning: although parking is ample, folks looking for parking in the BevMo lot are a little nuts. I love me some BevMo. Seeing as how cheese and wine are the two primary food groups in my life (rivaled only by bread), I *HEART* BevMo. Not only do they get points for being right across the street form me, they get a whole extra star for the charming older gentleman who works the door on Saturdays. No matter how many mornings I roll in there, fresh out of bed, bleary-eyed and sans make-up, he always cards me! Gotta love that guy. Anyway... About the cheese. Mimolette, Gorgonzola Dolce, Ricotta Salata...they have it all, a dizzying selection of delicious cheese in all it's fantastic forms. AND they have quince paste (membrillo). That fact alone pretty much keeps me from looking for cheese anywhere else, because even if I find cheese, membrillo is nearly impossible to find. Their full service deli is great, and they're always nice enough to let you try before you buy. There's really not much that needs to be said about the wine--if you want it, they probably have it, and the staff is always friendly and willing to help you find it. All the extra little goodies around the store can induce some serious impulse-buying, but that's part of the fun. I might never have discovered Lesser Evil's Black and White Popcorn if it wasn't for BevMo! Oh, so delish, salty and sweet...the perfect match for movie night, the perfect foil for a nice bubbly beer from their amazing selection. This is the best BevMo I've ever been to. There is a deli with sandwiches , meat, and a huge selection of cheeses. They've got me hooked because they sell Vermont Cabot Cheese, a rare find on this coast. I usually hit the awesome bottled soda section before checking out with my cheese and crackers. Bevmo is great for finding hard-to-find craft beers (awesome selection), some of the cheapest prices on kegs, and you can't beat their 5-cent wine sale. I wish they didn't have to "swipe" ID cards for everyone under 50! It is a huge hassle and the swiping thing really seems like they don't trust their employees to do the math and figure out how old you are. read more

I live close by off of Treat, so, this is a lifesaver for Friday nights/Saturday nights/American Idol viewing nights. Great for picking up a six pack - a huge selection of beer, I just picked up a brewer's box of different Blue Moon's (our favorite beer), and got a great deal ($13!!). Definitely sign up for Club BevMo to save a few bucks here and there. Also great for picking up wine, I didn't take advantage of the 5 cent sale this year but it's a good time to stock up. We also love picking up liquors that you can't find anywhere else for making fun cocktails...the only thing I would say is buy your mixers elsewhere (Safeway), there's a bigger selection and they will be cheaper. The staff has always been friendly and chatty here, and I haven't yet abused the order online pick up in store feature, but I like that it's available. I have only been here a few times, but let me tell you...it's great! They have an pretty decent selection of beers from around the world, and descriptions of the taste on the price tag. They also sell every kind if liquor imaginable. Everything from top shelf, to $7 handles of vodka (gross, I know, but jungle juice is very forgiving!). They aren't open extremely late, I think 10, but they normally have better liquor deals than grocery stores. Good place if you can remember to get early in the evening's festivities! read more

A place the size of a grocery store consisting of only booze and cheese????? Hells Yes! Bev mo just works. The liquor is pretty cheap and the beer selection is good. Go in there on a Friday and be happy to know all the people around you are well on their way to being half crocked...just like you. I'd give five stars if bev mo had more than one choice for club soda, all they have now if just the Canada's best one liter bottles(not enough, and a pain in the rear to carry). Overall though, bev mo is great. This place should be open 24/7. On a funnier note, I drove by the Bev mo with my brother at 8 in the morning and saw a man no less than seventy trying to pull the doors open. Let me in Damn it! Oh BevMo, how I love you! My Boyfriend made a Kegerator a couple of years ago. BevMo has been our sole provider of kegs ever since! They have a great selection of beer and the process is fast and easy. I love to shop here for parties because not only do they have great deals (especially if you are a Club BevMo Member) but they provide a wide variety of beer, liquor, wine and party supplies...not to mention CHEESES and other great snacking items good for parties and get together. It makes it very easy to gather supplies for that party you decided to throw last minute. One more thing!! BevMo is great for last minute gifts as well! They have cards, gift bags and plenty of gift items to choose from. I think they recently also offer wine tastings, I have yet to attend one of the tastings but will definitely update my review when I do. BevMo is great! This is a huge Bevmo with a large selection and nice staff. I am a particular big fan of the Friday Night Wine Tasting for $2! How come I have the tendency to just pull into the parking lot when I'm driving by, or when i go to Starbucks just "have the urge" to see whats on sale? Went in on my lunch hour to do some Christmas shopping. Lots of staff working and all were very helpful. Of course, I was looking for the new and popular Crown Maple and they were out. The guy looked in the back, called another location and told me when the next shipment would be in. Great service! We went back and they had it when they said they would. This area ABOUNDS in snooty wine stores, wine pairing articles in every magazine and newspaper down to the monthly drop-on-your-front-doorstep freebie (maybe even the pennysaver but I don't read that). Even your plumber probably knows more about wine than you do. So I really feel like a fraud even going into a wine store to buy a bottle of something since I don't know "cherry notes" from "hint of tobacco." Imagine my DELIGHT to get into a store like BevMo where the folks who work there don't have a snooty bone in their bodies. You tell them sorta kinda what you like or what your host is making for a meal and they guide you to what usually turns out to be a great choice. The store itself looks as clean and well organized as the nearby Walgreens but is stocked on one side with every beverage you could want (non-alcoholic too) and on the other side with every implement you might need to make a party. Oh, and the snacks! And the food bar in the center with cheeses and other delectables (also staffed by knowledegable people who can guide you to a choice and give you a taste of something). No longer do I feel I have to slink around in shame and end up buying blind (and feeling like I wasted our $$ on something we hate). Thank you BevMo!! The parking has been mentioned so I have to agree, it *is* awkwardly laid out for the size/shape it is but the main problem is that the exit has you crossing over a lane that feeds onto the freeway in order to get back onto Main Street. Left turns are tricky if not impossible. Just be patient and ignore anyone behind you who isn't! read more
