Great place for everything! Wonderful people running place! A little bit of everything! Very well organized

This store has a ton of good stuff and the money you spend goes to a good cause. Lots of treasures prices and good a few thing's on the spendy side got to watch there sales. Store is great size with lot's to see. They have put in two bouquet area's witch im not a fan. Just stuff of better quality but also makes the prices higher. Most of the staff is polite. The store is roomy can take a wheelchair through there and they have a nice selection. read more

Very overpriced on straight junk, not like how it used to be to be. Employees (the old ladies) very rude and not helpful nor negotiable with prices. Very dirty not a clean thrift store at all, god forbid you have to use the bathroom while shopping you have to walk a couple blocks down to the dollar general cause they refuse shoppers to use their bathroom, but to be honest if the bathroom was as dirty as the whole store it would most likely be a porta potty experience. Would not recommend shopping here. read more

One of the most overpriced thrift stores I have ever been too. Worker's need to learn prices of items and mark down significantly. Management needs to realize all items are donated. As of now prices are cheaper at outlets. read more

Lady was super loud, yelling at everyone to get out of the store when there was literally 10 minutes left. How sad is it that a thrift store collecting money for charity is overpricing items for the hardworking public. Not a good look.. My mother bought a ring here for $300 under "24k rl" ... well when she got home she showed me the ring and it said on the other side of the dirty band (China CZ) which is cubic zirconia. This store charged $300 for a cubic zirconia ring! This store was unwilling to come to an agreement of any kind. No one takes receipts these days, they could've easily looked at the cameras and my mother could have brought in her bank statement and they could've seen the ring was purchased the same time on her bank statement as it was on the cameras. She could've even gotten a store credit instead of a refund. I feel she was totally ripped off. That price for an item would give anyone the impression that it wasn't costume jewelry. Well it was... Be very cautious when buying from this place. They weren't willing to look into ...nor do they care that they are scamming an angel of a woman. read more

We donated a carload if stuff to the thrift store the other day. We like to support this store because it helps victims and their children of domestic violence and and sexual assault. The store has everything from clothes for women, men and children. All the clothes are hung by size which is a great time saver. They also sell shoes, bedding, household items, art, small appliances, jewelry, toys and furniture. There are people working behind the store that will help you unload your donations. They were super friendly when we were there. They told us that you can make arrangements for pickup of any large furniture you might want to donate. They do request that if you do bring something in that it be in good condition and any appliances be in working order. All the proceeds benefit the Betty Griffin Center and I just think that's great. read more

Boy were these people responsive. We had lots of furniture in our house from the prior owner and BGH came quickly and moved everything out easily. They even came back for a large sofa that I forgot to give them. read more

If you're just visiting town, it's worth the stop in. This was a huge store! The prices are very cheap and go to a good cause. I bought a hair straighter for 3 dollars. I saw a very nice chair for 30-40 dollars, this was leather and in great quality. A man in-front of me bought like 6 books for 1.75. You can't beat it. Everyone was wearing masks, I suggest bringing your own hand sanitizer just for extra measures but I felt safe. read more

Hunting for the treasure is what thrift store shopping is for me. Where else can you find vinyl records like Eric Clapton, the B-52's, The Who and so many other artists? This store has everything from clothes, toys, appliances, art, furniture.... the proceeds go to helping those in need and as a shopper, it's fun to look for those treasures. This is a pretty stellar thrift store as far as thrift stores go. There's a HUGE selection of pretty much everything and the deals they utilize are pretty killer. I got away with six books for $1! That's amazing when you're traveling all of the time and need something to stave off the boredom! read more

Husband and I were impressed with this store. It's not boring inside and there is a great deal of stuff to choose from. Prices are fair. They have a big selection of just about everything----except a bathroom!! There was a big book selection of everything except crafts-especially quilt books which I love. LOVED this large thrift store. Clothes and items are clean and in good condition and organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't get through the entire store, but did get a skirt, pair of active wear capris, shorts, a tank and 2 tops for $25. Will try to get back there in a week before I leave town. read more

We recently took several items to the Betty Griffin drop-off in St. Augustine Beach. It was right at closing time, I understand this is frustrating. We started to put the items on the tables where we usually put them. The attendant said, "Put them up here,"and under his breath continued, "or they'll go in the trash."! We were irritated at this response but did not respond. We have donated to Betty Griffin many times. We even had them pick up furniture from our home. Their people have always been very nice and thanked us for our donations even when they have been very busy. We were certainly disappointed by our treatment February 8, 2022. read more

While I had thought this to be a reputable extension of a worthy cause, and after several thousand dollars in purchases and tens of thousands in donations, I had possibly the worst experience of my lifetime in the Betty Griffin thrift store. The day after I purchased a pair of speakers at prices higher than even eBay, I went back in and saw a sub-woofer on the floor for $35.00. Assuming this had been tested some, I bought it and took it home. I quickly realized the sub-woofer had serious problems, and took it back within the thrift store's narrow window for electronic returns. I have repaired numerous receivers, amps, and other items from there that were supposed to be working, and had even purchased items "as is" without problem. Only when I went to return a defective speaker did I learn of their secret policies: 1. If it's over $10, their electronic's guy needs to test it out (the person in question comes in a few times a week). No one had told me this - ever, but because it was now their rule, I was supposed to leave the speaker there for the tech to test. 2) If you remove the large and ugly packing tape sticker, they won't accept a return anyway. I had never EVER tried to return anything to this store, but their arrogant and uppity manager told me "You should have known," and "anyone who shops here knows..." I left the item overnight, and went in the next day to learn this. I was amazed. The manager even chased me out to my car trying to school me and my wife of 30 years on their hidden and secret policies. 3) This thrift is expensive, but nice enough if you are buying. They are always short-staffed at the register, so the lines are up to half hour long. But ask for a refund on a defective item that reportedly works, and an overly aggressive and pompous manager will talk down to you to the point of absurdity. I don't like greedy and self important businesses. I bleach blonde ladies chasing me to my car to school me on their secret policies, and I don't appreciate being talked down to after trying to be a good customer for so long. I will never return to this place, and my donations and my business donation will now go where we don't feel like we are being hustled. All I can say is shame on the management in this store. The law is on my side, but you don't care about doing what is right. You just care about doing what you want to do, and you were wrong. read more

This place is terrible. It's dirty and you can see things growing in the corners of the ceiling. The staff is somewhat pleasant, but the prices are too high. It's more of a junk store than a thrift store. I won't ever donate here again or purchase anything from here. read more
