Mocha Coconut meeting one of the goats

This was my favorite spot yesterday. I love this place. It reminds me of the kitschy funky places I see in the Florida Keys. It's made up of three buildings with crafts, antiques, small table of baked items and also coastal and home decor. Lots of holiday stuff right now and pet lover decor too. Outside they have two goats named Starsky and Hutch and inside the store you can buy food to feed them. This is the cutest little area. It would take maybe a half hour to hour to see depending on the stuff that you find to capture your attention!

Shantytown Village is right off of US1 at the edge of Palm coast and St. Augustine line. This place is just awesome, they have a ton of handmade items for your home. Handmade goat soap, candles, tikis to homemade pies. The prices are fair and the customer service is awesome. Check Shantytown Village out when you can!!!!

A must when you're in the area. Great work from local artists, staff is fun, and treat yourself to some of the baked goods.

Some friends of mine and I stopped in this store as we were touring St. Augustine. The owner was…read moreextremely rude complaining that we didn't have an appointment. When I asked if it was appointment only that we were just looking around. She said that I could look but I wouldn't find anything She was very condescending and rude. Yet, when we offered to leave she began to tell us how she needed to make money to pay the bills yet continued to complain that we couldn't find anything because she was the only one who knew where things were. For some reason she felt the need to tell us about her various job experiences. It was the strangest experience and for someone who's store was empty of customers, she sure did a good job of running us out. Needless to say we left without purchasing anything. We did go to another fabulous Consignment Store named Christie Blue.

Staff (the owner & a vendor) were VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. (Be sure to check in to receive 15% off any one item that is not marked "firm.") I purchased mid-century framed art for my home, as well as a stamped, light blue 1960's Santa Anita Ware dish w/ a drip glaze. A friend purchased 1980's framed art as well as gorgeous sterling (925) earrings. Prices were reasonable-- definitely not too high. This appeared to be the case throughout the shoppe even though multiple vendors sell here. A smaller-sized home, it has been converted & wonderfully transformed into a vintage shoppe. Within the six or so rooms, visitors will find vinyl albums; vintage clothing (one full room of it); many jewelry displays for men & woman; dishware & serving pieces; wall art; home decor; lamps; MCM furniture; & much more. Parking spots on busy San Marco Avenue are few & far between, but there is plenty of free parallel parking along the many side streets. (Probably the best parking is directly behind the building.) Best to avoid this area around dinnertime. It took us a great deal of time to leave the crowded area. I suggest visiting @ other times to avoid the heavy traffic. But DO stop in here; it's worth your time! I WILL return the next time I'm in the area.

I thought it'd be a small 'hole in the wall' type place! Boy was I wrong! I barely made it through 1/3 of it before I had to leave and go to my appointment. This place had sooo many cool things in separate booths... think flea market type set-up. Most of the items were antique things but they had a good many modern things, as well. The biggest differences between this store and a flea market is a simple fact that each booth was nicely arranged and meticulously clean. The staff were all extremely kind and very jovial. We laughed a lot while just shooting the breeze as complete strangers! It's amazing the commonalities people have across several generations. The staff here easily reminded me of that very fact! Prices are very affordable here. For that reason, I am excited to have found another place to escape everyday responsibilities and look for that one specific thing that I just have to have! Can't wait to take my extended family to this new 'treasure' that I found!
