Small and clean shop. The staff is very friendly and they have good deals. They are a cash only store.

Alpha-Omega Thrift Store has been my favorite thrift store since moving to Saint Augustine three…read moreyears ago. As recently as August of this year, it was still an amazing place to shop. At that time, I noticed a lot of reorganizing and restructuring going on, but the store was still enjoyable and affordable. Unfortunately, as of today (12/20/2025), the store has gone completely downhill. The layout is so unorganized that carts can barely fit down the aisles, making it frustrating just to move around. Even worse, the prices are outrageously high for a place that claims to be a thrift store. Items that were reasonably priced just six months ago are now marked up to the point where I spent nearly $100 on things that used to be inexpensive. What truly disappoints me is that this is supposed to be a Christian nonprofit organization that helps widows find lodging after the loss of their spouse. Seeing political messaging in the store--particularly pro-Israel messaging--felt completely out of place and in direct conflict with Christian beliefs. It left me questioning how and why this direction was taken. Overall, the experience was sickening and deeply disappointing. The store now rivals Goodwill in both disorganization and inflated pricing, and that is not a compliment. I will not be returning. Don't waste your money here. Instead, go to: St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Shop 19 McMillan St, St. Augustine, FL 32084 Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, six days a week Closed on Sunday

I had read a lot of negative reviews beforehand but decided to give it a chance anyway. Unfortunately, my experience lived up to those reviews. I encountered multiple rude employees. When I asked a male employee for help, he dismissed me by saying, "I'm busy." At the register, an older white female employee who identified herself as a manager was extremely unprofessional. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it and walked away mid-conversation. She told me that lowering the price would be "taking money away from those who need it," while laughing and chuckling as if this were not a professional work environment. I tried to explain that Goodwill is a nonprofit and that the items are donated to help people in need, but she seemed unwilling or unable to understand that perspective. She refused to adjust the price on donated, used items that were already overpriced. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for someone who genuinely needed affordable household items. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes customer service and professionalism more seriously--especially when serving vulnerable members of the community.

It was my first time going to this new store, but not returning my money because of the girl talking to the other cashier, she rang up items twice, the Manager even said she identifies herself as a male, what in the hell has that do to her mistakes? I will never go there again. Nothing is organized as small, medium, Large or extra large, plus the shoe's are the same way, it takes hours to shop in an unorganized store with stupid rules and managers telling customers about identity like the girl identified as a male, managers should never speak private information about there worker's. Shoes were dirty and expensive, Goodwill was to help poor people, not Rich people. Very disappointed

Staff (the owner & a vendor) were VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. (Be sure to check in to receive 15% off any one item that is not marked "firm.") I purchased mid-century framed art for my home, as well as a stamped, light blue 1960's Santa Anita Ware dish w/ a drip glaze. A friend purchased 1980's framed art as well as gorgeous sterling (925) earrings. Prices were reasonable-- definitely not too high. This appeared to be the case throughout the shoppe even though multiple vendors sell here. A smaller-sized home, it has been converted & wonderfully transformed into a vintage shoppe. Within the six or so rooms, visitors will find vinyl albums; vintage clothing (one full room of it); many jewelry displays for men & woman; dishware & serving pieces; wall art; home decor; lamps; MCM furniture; & much more. Parking spots on busy San Marco Avenue are few & far between, but there is plenty of free parallel parking along the many side streets. (Probably the best parking is directly behind the building.) Best to avoid this area around dinnertime. It took us a great deal of time to leave the crowded area. I suggest visiting @ other times to avoid the heavy traffic. But DO stop in here; it's worth your time! I WILL return the next time I'm in the area.

Another thing is they dont give you a bag to carry out your item's. There reason behind it is a bit over the top as in they believe in no bags because of recycling purposes. So be ready to carry all your items out in your arm's. If you are disabled or use a walker or wheelchair good luck they dont offer to carry anything out for you or to your car. It's ridiculous that they dont offer you a bag for your item's. I never buy to much due to this reason.

I have been so blessed to be able to reap such a wonderful bounty from this venue since discovering it in the same plaza when I attended service at the Church of Eleven22 St Augustine campus. I am at the campus often and I am so thankful to be able to participate in the different sales days and meet different staff when I shop on different days. I can't even make it up about finding exactly what I need for my projects and many more treasures. I especially love when the books are half off. It's also so fun that I found dresses to donate for Night to Shine! The gowns here were gorgeous!!! The dressing rooms are well-lit and I appreciate that they have a customer restroom. And then, of course, knowing that the hospice teams are benefiting from these sales is something to keep at the forefront of our minds!! Pay it forward!! God bless!(‿)
