Alpha-Omega Thrift Store has been my favorite thrift store since moving to Saint Augustine three years ago. As recently as August of this year, it was still an amazing place to shop. At that time, I noticed a lot of reorganizing and restructuring going on, but the store was still enjoyable and affordable. Unfortunately, as of today (12/20/2025), the store has gone completely downhill. The layout is so unorganized that carts can barely fit down the aisles, making it frustrating just to move around. Even worse, the prices are outrageously high for a place that claims to be a thrift store. Items that were reasonably priced just six months ago are now marked up to the point where I spent nearly $100 on things that used to be inexpensive. What truly disappoints me is that this is supposed to be a Christian nonprofit organization that helps widows find lodging after the loss of their spouse. Seeing political messaging in the store--particularly pro-Israel messaging--felt completely out of place and in direct conflict with Christian beliefs. It left me questioning how and why this direction was taken. Overall, the experience was sickening and deeply disappointing. The store now rivals Goodwill in both disorganization and inflated pricing, and that is not a compliment. I will not be returning. Don't waste your money here. Wow what a great thrift! The selection here is VAST! The also have a big craft supplies selection. Everyone was super friendly which was awesome and they even went around letting everyone know of the closing time which was approaching. Supposed to be a godly ran store. Its beautiful inside allot of thing's prices variy but the staff is 100 perfect awful and unprofessional to think that they are affiliated with any church is a embarrassment. They follow you around the store watch everything you do and look at every person like they could steal. Nothing in that store is worth going to jail over. For a store that is affiliated with Christian churches they treat people awful. They judge you as soon as you come in and start walking around. They need a lesson in kindness and professionalism. I saw a worker follow a person out of the store claim they stole something and actually called the police! Unbelievable the person had a receipt and a bag. I will never go to this store again. The only good thing I can say is the store is huge. Large kids selection. 1 star on the pricing. Anything trendy or not made in china was $30+... if you rummage long enough you may find something special but it's absurd how high the prices are for the fast fashion. I have lived in St. Augustine for the past 12 years and have shopped at this thrift store many times and have never been treated so poorly as I have today (3/10/26).My husband and I were shopping and I realized how drastically overpriced a plain 7 1/2 in. vase was marked at $4.99 . I happened to have the same vase at home that I bought in the Dollar Store for $1.00 brand new! I spoke to the man and woman at the donation counter bringing the vase to show them. They were very pleasant and civil and encouraged me to speak to the MANAGER saying they agreed with me but she, THE MANAGER, always likes to know customer opinions.I walked away saying I did not want to speak to anyone about it but I thought they should know about the overpricing on the item. The woman agreed with me saying , yeh it should be about 89 cents. I agreed also since the vase was noticeably used! The MANAGER then came out from the back area with a smile on her face saying that maybe I would like to volunteer for them so that I could check on the pricing. When I mentioned the word overpricing she then told me in a very rude manner that I needed to shop elsewhere and that I was not allowed to shop there any more! The MANAGER then said that I was being rude to her "mentally challenged" workers and if I didn't leave she said she would call the sheriff as she reached for her phone! She then said she would escort me out and followed me as I continued through the store to find my husband who was still shopping! I was absolutely shocked to be treated like a criminal for asking about the overpricing! I thought mistakes on the pricing were being made. Large selection and Variety of anything you want .. Nice store but pricey. The store is arranged, pretty neatly, but very tight small places to move around in cannot get the buggies through the aisles. read more

Please be careful shopping at this thrift store. Amanda, who was checking us out tried to charge us more at the register as we were checking out & paying. This is highly unethical behavior. When my friend made a statement about this on their Facebook page, her post was deleted and this thrift store blocked her! With so many thrift stores around - I'd try going to one where they don't change prices on you at the register. read more

A very clean thrift store, with nice service personnel. Items are clearly marked with nice selection of clothing.

I found the kids clothes section to be a lil bare. At least the sizes I was looking for. However they do have lots of cute stuff here. And lots of toys! I got some brain flakes for $3. (Toy) This place is clean and organized and the 2 ladies I met there are extremely nice. The elder lady just knew it was my first time here and let me know the deals that were going on that day and pointed to where everything was and gave me a quick run down on prices. Very helpful. I will add that electronic section is minimal. They have lots of cds and DVDs but that's about it for electronics. They also have a decent selection of furniture as well. It was fun. Lots of random things, sometimes chaotic, but that's what thrift stores are. Pretty decent selection, though not as many men's clothes as I would have hoped. Solid value for a thrift store. I'd say slightly better than goodwill prices. They had a lot of bowling balls, which most people probably don't care about but I found fun. Service was incredible. Pretty big store with a lot of items, including housewares, clothing, shoes, art, and antiques. Well-lit, clean, and with friendly staff. I arrived at 4:50 when they closed at 5, and they very nicely let me know they were closing momentarily. read more

Needed a couch in my new apartment after moving cross country. Not only did they have a great selection but it was a great price. They delivered the couch for a low fee with zero notice ahead of time and helped me move it in. It was a total godsend. Nice little thrift store located near downtown, very easy to find and plenty of parking. The people working here are always very polite and welcoming. The majority of the store is clothing items, however they do have a decent selection of books, movies, and small area for furniture. There is a large area in the back that has a nice area of housewares and electronics, plus a plethora of other random home items. Of the few times I've been in this store, I've always found something to purchase and generally got a good deal. The store is always clean, and surprisingly everything is very organized compared to other thrift stores in the area. Some of the prices can be a bit high, however, not sure what they base their pricing on, but the selection and friendly employees and random finds is enough to get me to keep coming back. read more

Some of the prices are outrageous and a few examples are: A set of 12-15 year old Taylormade golf iron 6 club set (5-9, PW) are priced $50.00 EACH-TOTAL $300.00. Most other thrift stores charge $2-$4 per club total is $24.00. A difference of $276.00 (two hundred seventy-six dollars)! It is no wonder they haven't sold them in over a year and probably won't! Th same set at a garage sale would sell for $40-$50! Another example: Luxul dual band AC1200 Gigabit router priced at $80.00. I found the same exact router for $12.95 at another local thrift shop. Ebay and other on line places sell it for about $100.00! Alpha-Omega is greedy with some of their pricing and a letter will be forwarded to the CEO/President. Will the prices change as a result of my letter-who knows, but I have done my part alerting the public about Alpha-Omega's greed in pricing some items! I will not donate anything to Alpha-Omega based on their pricing practices. read more

Love this place! Great for finding quirky clothes. Realize some stuff are overpriced but you can find a good deal when they have discount days. I found a super soft black velvet dress here for $3 and cool books for 25 cents. Furniture is super cheap too. read more

The store is clean. Prices are a little ridiculous though. There are collectible things but they research them on eBay and are asking about the same price, but the boxes are all damaged. You may be lucky to find something but not at those prices. Those are more regular store prices. read more

Sadly, this used to be a great place to find a bargain and support a local philanthropic effort. But then they moved. I think they are holding consumers accountable for their increase in rent. We still stop every year when we visit, but we rarely buy anything. read more

We bought a used Oster ice cream maker and it works great! They offer a guarantee on electrics/appliances, which is fabulous!

Loved shopping here today. The clothing is organized by size which is super helpful. The kids toys are $3 everything you can stuff into a shopping bag. Very good selection, very clean and organized. Scored a pair of brand new Nine West heels for $4!! They also have Clean Bathrooms!! We will definitely be back. read more

VERY OVER PRICED on many things. I have had some luck finding small items like dishes/other kitchen items but they put ridiculous prices on a lot of things. It's a THRIFT store, not an antique/collectible store but they price some things as if they were an antique/collectibles store. I especially find this to be true with home decor. Some things can be bought new for what they are asking for used, donated, items. Mason jars (NOT antique ones) $1 ea. with no lids and dirty. REALLY? I can buy them brand new with lids for that or less. Clothing prices seem fair but not a huge selection. Difficult to see jewelry items - not talking about valuable items, just costume jewelry and much of it is behind the counter where you have to ask or you may not even notice it. Don't want to have to wait on line and ask to see a bunch of plastic beaded necklaces. I will never donate here because of their pricing policies and I rarely stop to buy anymore because it's almost always a waste of time. read more

I will never return to this shop again. I was on the hunt today for a nice cheap dress, I scored one down the street at another thrift shop and then decided to come here after. I walked in and found a few cute dresses, very good prices, I'll give them that. But, when it was time to try one on the lady was so rude I asked where the dressing room was that she pointed towards the back and then said in the nastiest tone: " in the back but hurry up because we're fixing to close". I don't care if you're fixing to close or not you don't tell customers that in a rude manner. after that I didn't even want to buy anything. horrible customer service.
