Braised Short Rib
Bre B.

Another spectacular dinner and adult beverage at Bettola. Kudos to you chef/kitchen staff and bartender. I had a chop salad, it was huge!! Lots of bacon bits, pickled onion, egg, and veggies. Loved it! The shortbread old fashioned intrigued me. So glad I ordered it!! Sweet, lovely bourbon heat and the shortbread rim was sensational. Loved it!! Could have had another.

Bettola never disappoints. I first came here after a yelp experience and recently went with a large group of family members (15 ppl) - they accommodated us seamlessly. All the pizzas were delicious and I loved my sandwich. I got the Sophia ($13) the eggplant was so juicy and paired with vodka sauce is a killer combo. The drinks were well made and every item here is very well priced. We could've paid so much more at other places and not be as satisfied. The staff members were friendly and atmosphere was fun & lively.

This is the pasta with bolognese. Dry and the meat was old.

I am typically not one to complain, but this was truly terrible food. I'm going to let the pics speak for themselves. We ordered take out on a Friday evening and what we received was garbage. The pasta with bolognese was so dry and the sauce tasted funky like it was old meat. Even worse was the veal and eggplant. It was overcooked in dirty old fryer oil. The smell was awful and the food was like leather. We called to let the manager know and the reaction we got from the woman who answered the phone was rude and defensive. I would not have wrote this review if she had responded in a professional way. I would stay away from this place.

Abe Froman

They don't take reservations. Tried the Abe Froman pasta and it tasted like orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage had a baby with pasta fagioli. It was delicious. We weren't offered bread but saw another table eating bread and asked for it. The bread was fantastic. Definitely ask for bread. I haven't tried the pizza yet but I definitely plan to try it next time!

Another delicious meal at Bettola. We did have to wait approximately an hour to get seated. The broccoli appetizer and Cesar salad were great. We also got the meatball appetizer which was good but lacked a little flavor. The gnocchi special was tasty and light. The chicken Parmesan did not disappoint but my family orders it with the pink sauce instead of the traditional red sauce. Prices are reasonable. On-street parking.

Stopped in last night since we haven't been again a while & it didn't dissapoint! It was packed wall to wall but we got seats at the bar which we always love! Evie was the bartender and she was incredible running the bar for the whole place with such ease & still so attentive to serving the whole bar too! We ordered a fig pizza & the cranberry nut something salad & both were seriously amazing ! Plenty for two people! The music is great , food amazing , service is the best & such a fun atmosphere can't wait to go back asap.

I have been to Bettola on 3 different occasions: RI Food Fights- Lord of the Wings 2023 Elite Event 2024 RI Food Fights- Lord of the Pies 2024 This place is consistent! They are constantly pumping out great service, good food in a modern/sheik atmosphere. This place is well worth visiting. Drinks! Mystery beers. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T's. The pop culture place mat's. The celebrity bathroom photo's that adorn the bathrooms. Cannoli's! The Marilyn Monroe pizza is delish!

Gold Digger Pizza

Just my favorite pizza place around! Ordered the gold digger pizza which had my least favorite ingredient, mustard, but this pizza was really good! The mustard was bad, it was fresh, hot, and savory. The bang broccoli is my favorite appetizer. I always don't fail in ordering this crispy, crunchy, fresh green~ makes my meal feel healthy ~ Wednesday mid week dinner treat was the place to be~ clean, warm, there wasn't a crowd, or a wait time, and the staff were patient and chill today. On my random pizza craving we're giving another pizza a try until we can confidently say we tried everything and have a favorite.

** Ordered delivery so I can't speak to the service or the physical restaurant. The pizza was really good and we were able to add basil for free! Pasta was good but not great- the bolognese didn't have much sauce but the pasta was well-cooked. Overall I feel like we got a good bang for our buck and I recommend!

The Big Short sandwich. Phenomenal!

Sat at the bar here one night and had the most delicious sandwich called the big short and a side of Brussels sprouts with bacon. Muah! Magnificent! I ate every last bite. Had a mock-tail called how about them apples. Sweet and delicious. Took my parents back for dinner and had the amazing pizza. Dying to go back and try everything else. Bartenders and servers were all pleasant and timely. The bathroom was clean and had funny pics on the walls (pics posted) There's a small lot in the back to park but out front is free street parking. They do have some sort of mug club but I'm not sure about the details. Lots of beers on tap as well. Great date night spot.

Bangin' Broccoli

Rating 4.3 Came back to try Bettola again but with a review this time. Bettola is a popular Italian restaurant located in the corner of Cranston. You enter through small side door and inside is moderate size with some seatings. They also have some decor and have fun paper table cloth with funny ads. Usually, the place is busy and there are waits but today was not bas because it was Wednesday night. We were quickly sat down. I've tried few things here but decided to try some things new. We ordered bangin broccoli, gold digger pizza, and truffle maker pasta. Bangin broccoli is my partner's favorite. It's like spicy garlic soy chicken but is broccoli. Tasted good and feels less guilty. Gold digger pizza was pretty good. Sweetness of BBQ sauce mixed with slight mustard flavor paired with chicken, bacon, peppers and onions. Nice chewy dough works great with twist on BBQ chicken pizza. The truffle maker was also pretty good. Looked and tasted similar to mac and cheese but with truffle flavors. Pastas were perfectly cooked and not too soft. Service was pretty good for the most part. Wet napkin would have been nice to have after eating as pizza gets messy which i noticed were available on the way out. Overall, the place is pretty solid as Italian restaurant with good service and food. Would come back to try other dishes on the menu when it's not too busy.

Meatball appetizer was great. Delicious.

In Cranston, where their pizza can trade punches with Providence like a heavyweight brawl, Bettola doesn't just throw its hat into the ring--it sticks its chin out and dares you to throw your best shot. Under industrial dome lights, with Marilyn Monroe watching from the wall and a 90s alt-rock soundtrack cutting through the air, the vibe is deliberate and confident. It's the kind of place that knows exactly what it's doing--and doesn't need to tell you that you're going to like it. Then the bread hits the table. It's not just bread; it's a declaration of intent. Fresh from the oven, it's hot, airy, almost shocking in a way that tells you someone in the kitchen understands fermentation like a jazz musician understands rhythm. It's a detail most places would ignore, but here? That bread lets you know what you're in for: precision, care, and a refusal to settle for "good enough." And then the pizza arrives. It's the kind of moment that makes you sit up, because this isn't just food--it's art. Think of a Ferrari idling outside a café in Milan, sleek and purposeful, every detail designed to turn heads. That's what Bettola's pizza looks like. Gorgeous. Effortless. Confident without trying too hard. The crust? It's not just a base--it's the star of the show. Most places treat crust like a conveyance, just there to deliver sauce and toppings to your mouth. Not here. Here, the crust is everything. Light, airy, and perfectly chewy, it's the kind of crust that makes you reach for the ends--not to finish what's left, but to savor it. No butter. No sauce. Just dough, pure and perfect, pulling you into its orbit. The sauce follows, bold and brassy. It's not sweet, not overly acidic--none of those shortcuts that plague lesser pies. It's tomato as it's meant to be: fresh, deep, and slightly salty, with just enough heat to keep you coming back for more. And the pepperoni? Generous. Well-distributed. Crisped at the edges like it's fresh from some wood-fired fever dream. The cheese ties it all together, playing its part without stealing the spotlight. Every element feels deliberate, purposeful, and executed with the kind of precision that demands respect. When it all comes together, it's not just pizza--it's harmony. Every bite is a reminder of what happens when someone refuses to compromise, when every detail matters. The crust, the sauce, the toppings--they don't just work together; they sing. For my.money, when Bettola is on its game, it proves that Cranston's pizza scene can go slice-for-slice with anyone in the state. This isn't just pizza; it's craft. A manifesto for why good enough will never be good enough. In a state where pizza is a religion, Bettola doesn't just rise to the challenge--it rewrites the commandments.

Great craft beer options !

What a great place ! We have eaten here probably about six times and each time always have an excellent experience. There is a parking lot out back and you can park on the street if it's full. It's not a huge place so you may have to wait for a bit. But it's worth it. We usually get pizzas and they are always well Cooked with generous toppings. The staff are helpful and friendly and make sure your glass is never empty. They have a decent sized menu so there is something for everyone. It's a great option for a meal and I highly recommend it.

She treated each person with patience and respect, and most impressive of all, she remembered everyones orders without writing a single thing down! Our group was seated in a semi-private room very close to the entrance. This was perfect for us to be able to all converse. the food was delicious. I ordered a special, Pasta Rustica, which consisted of pasta with a pink sauce, proscuitto, chicken, and shrimp, topped with mozzarella. It was so incredibly delicious and the portion size was large enough that in addition to eating my fill at dinner, I also had enough to take home for two lunches. Did I mention the bread? Marchetti's has wonderful Italian bread - crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and they pair it with garlic dipping oil. Yum! Entrees are also served with salad, and the house dressing is really good! I would go back to Marchetti's in a heartbeat. Pro tip - Make a reservation as they do get very crowded at peak times. Thanks to Marchetti's and to our amazing server, Lana, for an outstanding dinner experience for our whole group!

In a world where restaurants seem to either reinvent themselves every six months or completely fall apart after a few good years, Antonio's just keeps doing what it does well. Good food, solid portions, professional service, and that old-school Italian restaurant atmosphere that Rhode Island somehow still manages to preserve better than almost anywhere else. My wife and I went recently for dinner and had one of those meals where everything just flowed the way you want it to. We started with the fried calamari, which was excellent. Light, crispy, not drowning in grease, and actually seasoned properly. A lot of places phone calamari in because it's such a standard appetizer, but this tasted fresh and well executed. The hot peppers mixed in gave it a nice kick without taking over the plate. We also got a couple espresso martinis because it feels almost illegal to eat Italian food in Cranston without at least considering one. For dinner, I went with the chicken parmigiana after hearing people rave about it for years, and honestly, they weren't wrong. The chicken was tender, perfectly breaded, and the sauce had that slow-cooked flavor that tastes like somebody's grandmother has been guarding the recipe since the Reagan administration. My wife ordered the seafood fra diavolo, which came loaded with shrimp, clams, mussels, and enough garlic to keep vampires away for the rest of the week. Spicy without being ridiculous. The portions were generous too. Not "food challenge" oversized, just satisfying. Dessert was tiramisu for the table because at that point you're already committed to the experience. Really good balance of espresso flavor and mascarpone without feeling overly heavy. Sometimes tiramisu can feel like eating sweet drywall. This wasn't that. Service was also great all night. Attentive without hovering. Drinks stayed filled, plates disappeared quickly, and the pacing of the meal felt relaxed but organized. You never felt rushed, but you also weren't sitting there wondering if your waiter had moved to another state midway through dinner. The place itself has that classic Rhode Island Italian restaurant energy. Comfortable, a little lively, people talking loudly across tables, waiters who look like they've worked there forever, and the smell of garlic and red sauce hitting you the second you walk in. It's not trendy or trying to become some minimalist foodie experiment. Thank God for that.

The host seemed surprised to see us despite being right on time for our reservation but we were seated right away after a quick exchange. Our server Erik came right over with a smile and continued to be a consummate professional throughout the evening. I wish I could have him be my server everywhere I go. We started the night with some seasonal cocktails. The spiced pear old fashioned was to die for. Complete with a solitary large cube and balanced flavors it was delicious. Our table had veal parm, linguine and white clam, and lasagna. Each dish was fresh and executed perfectly. It's a garlic lovers paradise but never overpowering, in a way any Nonna would approve. For dessert we split a slice of limoncello cake. The cake was so light and fluffy it was like eating air. Even the frosting was light enough where it didn't feel like we were stuffing ourselves to finish it. It's a smaller place so it gets busy quickly and can be a little loud. I would highly recommended a reservation as I don't think you'd have much luck getting a table on a weekend. There was a bar area with some seats but it's probably not easy to get a seat there either. As the old adage goes, if a restaurant is full all the time there's a good reason why ;)
