I had a really great experience with this roofing company. They did a full roof lift and relay for me and the quality of the work was solid from start to finish. The crew was easy to work with, showed up when they said they would, and clearly knew what they were doing. They also added storm weatherproofing underneath the tile, which gave me a lot more peace of mind for the next rainy season. One thing I really appreciated was that they noticed an area where water had been collecting before and installed an additional piece of gutter to redirect the flow so it won't pool there anymore. On top of that, they cleaned out my gutters and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. No mess, no leftover debris--just a job done right. Overall the whole process felt smooth and professional, but still relaxed and easy. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable roofing work. Thank you so much to the roofer Gilbert who helped with all this! Amazing amazing amazing read more

Better Roofing - Brand new roof - Roofing Near Me - Grand Terrace, California

Better Roofing did excellent repair work, timely as scheduled, very reasonable prices, and very honest. I highly recommend this company.

I had used them before a few years ago for just some patch work. Now we needed a full roof replacement. They are very professional and fast. We also liked the 50 year warranty. Thank you Villareal Roofing. read more

I don't know how they perform now. Used them many years ago and did a good job. Called them to do more repairs in early March, they came out gave me a quote and said they were super busy but would get me scheduled for early April. Started calling about April 10 to follow up but could only get a "two more weeks" story. I called today to cancel because I found a contractor who would give me a firm date and all of a sudden the manager wanted to talk. Too little too late. Isn't that a nice spin on facts. read more

I had a roof leak. I called and had an assessment done. He explained where the leak was and the process of the repair. The cost was very reasonable. The team, all those who I came in contact with including the office personnel, Jolene, is professional, friendly and courteous. My roof is repaired, no more leaks. My daughter also had a leaking roof fixed by this company. She recommended this company to me. I'm a very happy customer. I will definitely recommend Villareal Roofing. read more

I'm not used to doing this, but i will say that so far Villarreal has been very helpful and professional.

Would not recommend this company at all. Gilbert Sr came out to estimate my roof to cost $17,000. He said there were 3 layers of shingles on it and each layer would cost $1500 each to remove! He came back out and said the cost increased by 10% but when I got the second quote it had increased by $4,000. He enjoys ripping people off. I paid $1,000 before I had help looking into the contract and was shown there were several discrepancies on it. First discrepancy was there were only two layers of shingles (this was confirmed by different companies coming out to my home to give me quotes), second discrepancy was a "mandatory" asbestos survey that totaled to $1800. I went down to Building and Safety in San Bernardino and they said the survey was not needed for residential homes unless doing a demolition. Third discrepancy was he told my insurance I had an add on at my house that would need shingles which was false. My patio did not ever have nor need any shingles. Any discrepancies make a contract null and void in California. Gilbert Jr agreed to give a full refund but then Gilbert Sr called me and was very aggressive to find out why I wanted to cancel & to tell me his son did not know what he was doing & a refund would not be given. I don't understand why a refund wouldn't be given if a start date hadn't been given and no materials had been purchased. Multiple emails were sent and phone calls were made to Villareal roofing but they were ignored. Very poor way of handling clients. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are crooks. read more

I am leaving a 4 star review because of the amount of time it took to get to my project. My project was small, so I imagine it was fit in between large projects. Also the rainy season was long and drawn out, which probably led to delays. They did allow me to do my own tear off, which worked off well. I will know by this winter if everything is ok. No complaints regarding job site or cleanup from renter. read more

We have used Villareal roofing over the years. Recently we had several leak spots after a November rain. We called, they came to inspect, and put us in the service schedule. They fixed the areas in question and did an overall maintenance on our tiled roof. As always they were friendly and professional. As far as I can tell, nothing has ever leaked after they fixed it. Plus I like contributing to a family business. read more

Villareal Roofing Company delivers a 5 STAR roofing experience to protect our home at a fair price. My wife and I talked to three different roofing companies. Two roofers only talked price. Gilbert Jr was the only roofer who came and listened to what we wanted, a complete old roof tear-off, damaged wood replaced and quality shingles installed. He inspected the roof and presented material options with a roof ridge vent to keep the attic cooler. Turns out Gilbert Jr has been working on roofs with his Father Gilbert Sr since he was a child; Gilbert knows roofing! We studied roofing shingle types, materials, underlayment, manufacturing companies, warranties and installation companies. We selected Villareal Roofing and the GAF Roofing System with a good selection of materials and colors and a 50 year/lifetime warranty. We won't be around another 50 years, maybe our roof could be. We learned Villareal roofing is a GAF Certified company; GAF only selects the BEST companies for this level of certification. Villareal roofing is a Team of people working together to turn our roof into a priority project. Gilbert Jr provided a detailed estimate with photos, drawings and the roofs square footage. We selected the materials, agreed on price and signed a contract. Villareal roofing obtained the city permits and coordinated city inspections and final approvals. Communication with Villareal staff was easy and provided quick responses. Jose, Art, and Joleen Thanks for all your hard work! The Villareal installers are well trained professionals delivering high quality craftsmanship. Each day they arrived at 7 AM daily and at the end of the day they cleaned up around the house, put their tools away. Gilbert Jr inspected the workmanship at each step of the project. Our new GAF roof looks AMAZING! Gilbert Jr is a US Army veteran served in Afghanistan and Gilbert Sr is also a Veteran. My wife and I are extremely pleased Villareal Roofing installed our new roof. As Retired US Army, I recognize the integrity, honesty, and professionalism of Gilbert Jr and Gilbert Sr. We HIGHLY recommend Villareal roofing to install your new roof! read more

After numerous quotes and roofing companies not even showing up to provide a quote, we had Villareal Roofing provide a quote for our roof. They were very competitive and Gilbert came across as honest and professional. They are finishing up our roof project today and I am very pleased with the quality of service and professionalism of the entire company. The crew was hard working and respectful of our home as they tore off the entire roof and patio roof to replace. They went out of their way to ensure we are completely satisfied with the outcome. Jolene in the office was great and overall this was a very positive experience! I would (and have), highly recommend Villareal Roofing for your home roofing project. Five stars from me!! read more

THEY ARE THE BEST. They went out of their way to call and guide the air conditioning man with his installation so I would have a leak free roof. I had spent 3 years and 4 different roofers coming and "fixing" my roof. It wasn't until Villareal Roofing came that my leak was FOUND and REPAIRED CORRECTLY. I will always use them and I recommend them to all who needs roof repair or a new roof. They are dependable, trustworthy, hard working professionals! It was a joy to do business with Villareal Roofing! read more

Villareal roofing is an awful company to do business with. They do not stand by work. Fantastic job, helped me get insurance to pay for completely new roof. Everyone was friendly and hely

Wish I could give ZERO stars. This company is run by scammers! My husband and I were assigned this company as contractors by our home warranty company. We had some minor leaks in the garage roof close to the end of the rainy season and filed a claim with the warranty company. They sent the claim to Villareal Roofing and when they came out they said the work on the roof wasn't done correctly before but they could put some tar in a few spots and there wouldn't be any more leaking. They were here for 15 min, put a little bit of tar on the roof, charged us $60 for coming out and then billed the warranty company for nearly $1000. We didn't find out they billed the warranty company that much until months later when we needed more work done and we filed a claim again. Villareal Roofing was once again sent out to assess the damage. They told us they had to charge us $60 for coming out again, and that the estimate for repairs was $600! They said the warranty probably wouldn't cover it because we used so much money on the first visit. WHAT?!?! 15 min and some tar took up a $1000 credit? This company billed so much the first time around that now we're out of pocket for the second round of repairs. Suffice to say, since the warranty company isn't going to be paying for these repairs (THANKS TO THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY) we will not be using them. We are going to find our own contractor and we recommend that you do the same!! The only reason to use Villareal Roofing as your contractor is if you enjoy getting screwed over and want to pay out the nose for little to no work being done. STEER CLEAR and save yourself the headache!! read more

Loved that they showed up with a mask. Practicing safety concerns. The crew made a proper clean up after tearing off the old roof. New roof looks spectacular!! I would recommend them over and over again. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Horrible waste of time. Not reliable and horrible communication.

I hired this company to upgrade my roof to cement tiles after the big fires a couple years ago. He and his crew were very, very professional and receptive to all our concerns. They were, and remain to be, accessible for any roofing concerns. For example, I used them to install skylights. Highly recommend them. read more

Somewhat interesting scenario . A couple of tiles on my roof were not in place and rain was able to stain my ceiling........i called VILLAREAL . Company rep came to assess. . He gave me a report and quote. . We agreed on a day for repair. . We confirmed the time on the day of the repair. . Roofer did not come during the time window quoted......nor much later. . I called the company, reaching only voicemail, twice. . I asked that they call me if they still wanted the job. . They NEVER responded in any way. . The roofer did not put the tiles where they had been but left them many feet away, allowing moisutre or rain to enter my home. PERHAPS THIS COMPANY CAN DO QUALITY REPAIRS BUT THEY LACK GOOD BUSINESS SKILLS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WHICH THEY PRIDE THEMSELVES ON. I called another well known and respected company that will do far more extensive work for less money.....lucky me! read more

We had a leak in our roof from the turbine seal being cracked. We called other companies but they all were busy or didn't call back. This company called me back and said they would be out in a couple of hours. Gilbert had it fixed and sealed right away and also told us how to repair the staiin on the ceiling. read more

Never ever ever deal with this company! How they have any good reviews is suspicious or the homeowners are clueless about roofing and costs. This person named Gilbert, the licensed roofer, was asked to inspect a roof and advise the cost of repairs with a 2 year roof cert. He asked for $500 upfront to show up and would apply this to the cost of repairs. His repair quote was for $3000 and gave a whole detailed explanation of what he would do. He NEVER provided a written estimate or written explanation of work required and asked for the total cost of this job UPFRONT! The contractor sent 2 guys who were on the roof for less than 90 minutes and left. When I inspected their work I nearly puked! See the picture. They simply laid non matching composition roofing right over the existing bad roof creating all kinds of lumps and for this 90 minute work, the cost was $3000? The roofer to this day has not provided me with a work order and now doesn't return calls. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the State Contractors Board and will be going after his Bond to get refunded and maybe reimbursed to remove his shoddy work and use a real professional to correct his job. He was also not legally allowed to collect the $3000 upfront according to the contractors board so hopefully I will get some relief from them. In the meantime, stay away from this company and Gilbert Villareal at all costs!! Terrible is an understatement! read more
