Was visiting California and randomly popped into this place after a run. The gent behind the counter recommended the "best drink ever" and I have to admit it's pretty good. It's not as heavy as a normal Americano and far less calories so I recommend it. I would definitely come back again if I'm in Southern California. read more

I was in the area and wanted a coffee, I've never been to Better Buzz before but when I walked in I was greeted and since I didn't know what I was getting I took a couple minutes to look over the menu. I like that I wasn't feeling pressured or rushed to order then Donovan was so kind and gave me the best customer service. Polite and offered suggestions, which I ordered an Iced Snickerdoodle Latte and it was a 10/10 since I'm a big coffee lover. Being slow is the general norm for better buzz at most locations, but they don't try to be compensate for it any any other way. Inarguably the worst matcha I've had in my life. I mean just looking at the photo, I'm not sure how you can even call that a matcha. It looks like milk with matcha "flavor" added, but that sure isn't matcha... not even culinary grade. Wow, what a disappointment. I ordered the chili breakfast wrap, which has ham, egg, cheese, and hash brown. We don't eat pork so I asked if I could sub the ham out for turkey. They said I can't do that. I saw they had a turkey sandwich on the menu. I asked can I just have the ham taken off please? Yes, you can. Can I order a side of turkey? Yes, you can. I'll just leave it at that... First time at this spot and wasn't disappointed. Came after some friends recommended it and really enjoyed it. It was a spacious shop with lots of seating. They offered some pretty unique selections, like Miso Caramel Latte, which is what I got, and really enjoyed it! It was similar to a salted Caramel, but also different. Hard to explain until you try it. They offer milk alternatives like oat, coconut, and almond. The baristas were pretty nice. We got a drink that we didn't know only came hot, and they were able to remake us something different. They also have merch. The staff has always been so patient and kind, even accommodating in picking up my to-go order for me from inside even when I was in the drive thru. Every food item I have ordered has been delicious, and the coffees as well. I haven't been inside yet, but the shop is located in a strip mall. The drive through is a good size and easy to navigate. My husband came in to pick up a mobile order, he said he was greeted and they were friendly enough, but there were no other customers inside and he was not asked if he needed help because they were busy talking amongst themselves, so he just grabbed our drinks and left. The time before this one, my boyfriend had received a sandwich that had a large piece of plastic in the middle of it. I'm now here to let you know that we had ordered our drinks this morning and hadn't received them until much later after the people in line behind us had received theirs. Also, the quality difference between the two drinks is polarizing. My boyfriend and I ordered the lavender tea buz, one large, one regular. My partner ordered a cappuccino, while I opted for drip coffee and warmed banana bread. The cappuccino was decent, but I had to wait 25 minutes for my drip coffee and banana bread. Unfortunately, the drip coffee had a burnt and acidic taste. I asked two staff members about my order, but both were quite rude. As a first-time customer, I would have appreciated a heads-up that my coffee would take longer than 20 minutes. Since I ordered a simple black coffee--no cream, sugar, or foam--I expected it to be quick to prepare, but that wasn't the case. I remained calm and polite while following up on my order. When my banana bread finally arrived, it wasn't even warm. I mentioned to the staff that I wanted it heated, and when I showed my receipt to confirm my request, one of them turned around and placed it in the oven. I understand it was busy, but I didn't think I deserved that kind of attitude. I waited patiently while my partner finished his drink, and this experience left me disappointed. So I pick up from here a lot and my husband was on the hunt for a pumpkin muffin, no nuts, seeds or anything pretentious. My husband saw this and wanted 2, he was throughly disappointed in the muffin. It had pecans all throughout the muffin. He only ate the top and spit out the bottom. I feel like there should be a disclaimer if a muffin has nuts or something. What if my husband was allergic and took a big bite and didn't know there was nuts in it? Never buying these again.
