Today was my second time coming for coffee and could possibly be my last. The first time we came the person taking our order was so rude. They would huff and puff every time we asked a question. But the lady at the window was super sweet, which made me want to come back. This morning the young man at the drive thru, was so so sweet. I didn't catch his name, but he has glasses and curly hair. He made a second time experience so much better... Until I got to the window and the man at the window was so dismissive and had a dry attitude. Out of all the Better Buzz locations, La Mesa is hands down the best store. The entire staff is always so kind and puts a smile on my face when I walk through the door. I'm a frequent customer at this location. I usually go through the drive thru.. I must say this is such a high volume store and I'm there just about daily. They do a great job in with good customer service and efficiency for a drive thru. The wait times are not bad considering coffee is so individual and subjective.. However, today I went inside and got to observe an employee that stood out.... She had excellent customer service and amazing work ethic. I heard her training employees, helping customers and even watched her clean the dining room. I had to stop her and ask her name, she said "Brittany". After talking to her for a couple of minutes, I could see she genuinely loves her job... She cares about her team and wants to be the best store around. Came here after an appointment to have coffee and breakfast. The parking lot was nearly full and the drive-thru line was long, but I thankfully found parking on the street right in front. I ordered through the Better Buzz app before getting out of my car and despite the busy-ness at this location, my food and drink were ready sooner than expected. Service was friendly and fantastic. My Iced Moroccan Spiced Coffee was refreshing and the Better Breakfast sandwich was yummy (I also recommend the Bacon Ciabatta, which is my actual favorite). Had to try this well known coffee spot that I keep seeing everyone in San Diego post about. There was a parking lot right outside, and we were able to find a parking spot almost immediately. The inside is very aesthetic, took an obligatory "Life's Better Buzzed" photo. I ordered the iced Vanilla Latte with oat milk, and it was the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. I placed my order via the app while my family ordered in line, my mistake. They received their items minutes after ordering, I waited 22 minutes for my 1 latte. I stood at the online pick up waiting for my drink as they weren't calling out names for mobile orders, the employee finally asked what I was waiting on but did not make or ask the line about it. Love that they opened a location here. Highly recommend checking it out. Always a 5/5 experience. All the food is great, the Better Breakfast sandwich is real good. It's on a fluffy fresh bun and has thick strips of bacon. The açaí bowl is delicious l, tastes very fresh and the portion is very generous. Their coffee is easily one of my favorites from any coffee chain. The service was super fast and efficient when I visited on the pre-opening day. All staff were very friendly and stoked to open. I've been a Better Buzz fan for years, so when they opened close to my work in La Mesa -- my friends and I were thrilled! The coffee is great-- you can't go wrong with a Honey Latte and they have wonderful service as well! Aubrie is often my barista and I'm always greeted with a huge smile and kind interaction from her and fellow co-workers as I decide on my order of the day. Ugh, I'm kind of over this place. Plan on spending, on average, 8$ for a drink. Plan on a cluster of a parking lot, plan on long lines inside and drive-through, plan on about a 15 minute wait time for your drink. Also, my husband and I each had coupons for free drinks, waited in drive through only to be told we can only use 1 coupon per car. Ended up having to park and go in and do separate orders and wait in that line. Best part was my husband had ordered a hot coffee but they gave it to him iced. Because of already waiting twice, he just took the iced coffee. Inside is loud and crowded. Just not worth it for your time and money.
