Jenni was amazing. She made my whole visit super comfortable, especially because I honestly walked in pretty intimidated. I didn't know much about seamoss at all, just that it was good and I wanted to start incorporating it into my family's health and nutrition. She was really personable, patient, and knowledgeable about everything. She explained the benefits in a way that actually made sense, and she gave me plenty of samples to try. My favorites were the Aloha and the Elderberry. I ended up getting the Aloha and also grabbed a cantaloupe & soursop refresher, which was so delicious and refreshing. I usually pick up seamoss from here at the farmers market, but this past weekend I didn't have time to go during the day so I visited the storefront for the first time. The woman who was working at the front when I came in (I think she may be one of the owners) was sooo friendly and welcoming. She offered up some recommendations, asked me if I knew about all the benefits of seamoss, etc. Upon coming in I only saw a few flavor of the gels behind the counter, but they also make their seamoss gels to order so I was able to get exactly what I wanted after waiting a couple of minutes. The shop has incorporated their products into smoothies, juices, acai bowls, soap, body care, and even detox bitters! On the counter was a display of sea moss compared to the "fake" one which I did not know can be harmful for consumption depending on how it is harvested. As an introductory to sea moss, I decided on The Nip smoothie which is mainly pineapple and blended spirulina with their sea moss gel. The smoothie comes out in a magical blue cloudy color! The pineapple took over the whole flavor of the smoothie, so I did not taste any sea moss. Since then, I've tried their Medicine Ball drink that also had a blue tint. While I do love the taste of their drinks and the healthy minerals listed, I definitely have to order consistently to feel real improvements and would opt for a gel. Not only we were able to buy smoothies and smoothie gel we received free sample before we bought anything. The samples help us pick which flavor smoothie we wanted and what sea moss gel we wanted. For hefty $30+ gel I think it's great that this place lets you try a sample before you buy it. They also make the sea moss fresh for you! So you wait a little bit just to get fresh sea moss! They do provide instructions how to use and what it is with details on a pamphlet. Don't be shy and come by! I loved my experience would definitely bring another friend. I stumbled across Fuelthycells while "yelping" local sea moss stores in San Diego. The photos don't do their products justice. The flavored sea moss selections are just as pretty in person as they are on their website. Service is super welcoming and helpful. The shop owner explained everything about their selections, shelf life, and benefits. The shop has a smoothie bar, as well as natural soaps and lotions for sale. Coming here for the first time with my husband and baby I can say from my experience they don't have the friendliest staff, upon arrival the staff was just very dry maybe because it was our first time. A regular customer came in and they immediately greeted him and started a warm conversation. A friend recommended this place to me for health reasons, more specifically to help me with iron deficiency Anemia (which I had been dealing with for MONTHS)! I went in not knowing what to expect, but was anticipating sea moss to taste gross. The gentleman working was very welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable and provided me with several samples explaining the differences in each. They all tasted great, and narrowing it down became my only issue. I left with the Purple Heart (hibiscus & spirulina) and a jar of Burdock Root. After about three days, I started noticing a difference in my energy levels. I finished the jar in about a week & a half, and returned for another. I have since gone through approx 4 jars since the beginning of September, consuming approx 2 spoons worth a day of the Seamoss and a teaspoon of the burdock root (added to my juice/daily) --- and my iron numbers have leveled out!! Not only have my numbers significantly improved, but I feel 90% better than prior to having added these into my daily routine. I am so grateful for having been referred here, their products and their customer service is phenomenal! Tip: As everything is made fresh, you may have to wait.
