This café replaced Bruegger's bagels. I'm not sure why. But it's probably three or four years since we've been there so I don't know how long I've been open. It was conveniently located on Orange Avenue near the hotel we were staying at. I ordered a banana pudding drink. I don't know if there was any coffee in it, but it was really good. I love visiting locally owned coffee shops where you just drive up to the window and are happily served instead of those large corporations where they have a siren logo and served mid coffee drinks.I don't get what the hype is all about. Woefully Coronado does not have any drive thru coffee shacks but they redeemed themselves with a Better Buzz coffee shop! This is my second time consuming another coffee drink, Pumpkin Best Drink Ever. The first one i tried was the Horchata Iced Latte and I can joyfully say I was impressed with the environment, customer service and most crucially the coffee. Disappointed and frustrated. I called ahead to place an order for two Java Travelers for a work event. The person who answered the phone was unprofessional, and even admitted to accidentally hanging up on me--but they did call back and confirmed the order. When I arrived at Better Buzz the day of the event, they had no record of my order. I was then told they don't take orders over the phone and that I should have placed it online--despite the fact that this item isn't even available to order online, which is why I called in the first place. I didn't want to argue with the staff at the counter, but our event was delayed because of this, and it was incredibly frustrating. If you no longer want to offer Java Travelers or refuse to accept phone orders, please don't advertise them or make it seem like they're available. I expected better communication and customer service from a place like Better Buzz. read more

Came around 10:30 AM on a Sunday and it was PACKED. The line didn't seem to move for 7 minutes. I ended up find it out you can order online. I decided to step out of line and do that. The place is tiny, but we took a seat and waited 8 minutes for the pick up to be ready, at which time, I would have just finished ordering in person. We got an iced and hot vanilla caramel coffee. I think the hot came out with better flavor. We also got the elote avocado toast. It was more like warm bread than toast. It missed the crunch for the bread. We like how their theme goes throughout the store with their honeycomb tiles on the wall. Their menu is also in the shape of a comb and it is very neatly put together.
