We stayed in the Dentist Quarters Cabin which was a delight! It's a compact house complete with a picket-fenced yard and rockers on the front porch. We dined at the restaurant where we ate top notch food while sitting in front of a wood burning fire. The experience we had here far exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back!

The yogurt machine wasn't ready and there were no sandwiches. The cereal selections included Raisin Bran and Cheerios. They had instant oatmeal, apple sauce cups, banana and hard boiled eggs. As we were waiting for sandwiches, a 3 person family who sat down after us was given priority for the sandwiches. The lady making them literally handed them over to this 3 person family sitting at their table instead of putting them down where the sandwiches go. I was fine with that except we were in a hurry. When I asked for them next (assuming she went by those who asked her first), she did not give it to me but put it in the sandwich section. At this time, there were 10 more people already. The problem is she only brought out three at a time. A lady took one and I took two for our family of four and I had to feel terrible about it. Later, I heard from the 3 person family that they didn't even want all the sandwiches. Needless to say, I am extremely unhappy about this breakfast experience. We left at 6:55am. Please tell the staff to have sandwiches ready at the breakfast hour at 6am as listed. Also please tell the staff not to hand sandwiches to people whilst there are other folks waiting for them. It was extremely UNFAIR of her to do so. The overall experience is 2 stars since 2 stars were deducted for the breakfast experience.

Pretty spot though you hear the traffic going by when outside. Inside the room it is faint. I liked that my room was one level (nobody upstairs). However, I had a neighbor in the next room who got up at 5am and was heavy footed and had a dog. The noise they made traveled into my room. They woke me up and kept me awake way before I planned to get up. Noise level depends on who ends up next to you. Luckily they were not there for my entire stay. The room was just right and I like the way it looked and the covenience of a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove top and microwave. I bring my own pans. I am glad because I didn't like the pans in the room. I appreciated that the fridge didn't make hardly any noise. Less than mini fridges in most hotels!! Bed was comfortable and management was reachable via text message and provided information via texts that was helpful. Beautiful trees on property and I liked that behind my room was left unmowed-good for nature and made it private. I also loved that the windows opened (four windows in the room (on both sides). I'd definitely stay at The Pines Inn again.

After we had settled in, we were able to inspect the cottage and it was ideal for two people. Everything was exceptionally clean. The kitchen had utensils, dinnerware, and cookware. The bathroom was also in good condition. The only inconvenience encountered was from my husband (as he is a tall individual) that the toilet area was slightly cramped. We were told that our rooms bed was just upgraded to a king size. Let me tell you, that bed was big and ridiculously comfortable. We both slept so good, we couldn't stop talking about how comfortable it was. As we left for dinner the ambiance of the place was truly enchanting. The beautiful lights created a magical environment, and the canopy with the projector added to the inviting atmosphere. He had kindly opened some wine for us, and we helped ourselves to it upon our return. Tony asked us before he left, what we would like for breakfast. I opted for toasted bagel w/ cream cheese & honey yogurt. My husband asked for avocado toast with fresh fruit. The next morning, he delivered our breakfast to our room. They gave us our room keys and reminded us of their complimentary drink vouchers. I still like the added security measure that, in order to go up in the elevator, you have to use your room key each time. When we arrived in our room, we were ecstatic. It was very roomy, with a couch that had a pull-out bed, a king-sized bed, a desk, and a sofa with a leg rest. I loved that this room had hardwood floors! We arrived late due to traffic and had to hustle to make the time frame for the drinks. We made it in time, and the gentleman who served us was very nice. We slept very well and were eager to have their continental breakfast again. It was exactly like the previous year, with the food being replenished constantly and the area being cleaned. The hot food options were biscuits (with a gravy option), sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, and French toast sticks. They had cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, and bagels. There was also a coffee bar and juice options. We indulged and enjoyed our hearty breakfast. The hotel allowed our requested late checkout, so we were able to stroll downtown and enjoy a lazy morning before leaving. We had to park across the street. It was a torrential downpour while visiting. There was an old crusty van parked in the suite parking, looks like a storage unit that sits, and we believe it's a staffs car who lives there permanently, it never moved the 3 nights we stayed. Otherwise we enjoy staying here.
