The setting is idyllic and the B&B itself is a beautiful, sprawling house with 4 guest bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two of the rooms have private, in room bathrooms. The other two room share a bathroom that can be accessed by either room. If one couple occupies one of the rooms then the other room is left empty so that the bathroom can be private. However, if 2 couples wanted to occupy the two rooms they could share the bathroom on request. The rooms are meticulously clean and well-appointed. Each room has it's own theme and all rooms have charming views. There is a great hot tub outdoors under the stars. It is always surprising how many stars you can see when you are not surrounded by light pollution! The proprietors, Alicia and Guy, are very friendly and welcoming and make your stay just that much more enjoyable. Alicia is a fabulous cook and the breakfast is so good you will be talking about it for weeks. Sierra Sun Cloud Inn is a great place to go on a honeymoon, anniversary, romantic retreat, or just for a fun night away!

Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!
