After enough going back and forth, I decided it was time to pursue a better contractor - one that I could actually trust and I would know they would deliver on a new kitchen. This is when we met Dustin at Sekoya Construction. From our first interactions, he was very respectful and easy to talk to. He understood the issues we were facing and stayed within our budget. Not only that, but the crew he brought to the home was just as cordial and respectful as well. I never met a team like Dustin's where I got to know everyone on a first name basis and trust was so easily established. After a few weeks of quick work (including working around Thanksgiving), the team was able to put our kitchen back together before the Christmas holiday. My family and I cannot thank Sekoya Construction enough. We love our new cabinets and countertops!! It was a long few months to get to this point, but it was worth it. In the end, we got a brand new kitchen and a new friend in Dustin. I have no hesitancy recommending Sekoya Construction to any friends and family. There is no better team in the area.

The biggest plus on the project was that Dustin actually listened to what we wanted, gave us honest and fair pricing, and then delivered on the project in the time frame promised. Even with the challenges in the environment that are occurring today the whole team at Sekoya was on point. I would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and more importantly, our clients. In fact, we are having them do some extra work on our closets because the beautiful work that was done requires a closet upgrade. We highly recommend them.

Since it had been 9 months since the original job was completed, we didn't expect them to make corrections, but we were so relieved and impressed that they proactively wanted to make things right. Adam took charge of the entire situation and coordinated everything seamlessly: Within a couple of days, his team was out to replace the air ducts with the R8 ductwork. The very next day, they had someone out to perform the required HERS testing. Shortly after, the city inspector came out and signed off on the permit. The entire process was completed within just a few days and at no cost to us. The team was clean, efficient, and Adam provided clear, excellent communication every step of the way. We are so grateful for Adam's dedication to customer satisfaction and his expertise in walking us through the process to ensure everything was fully resolved and up to code. We definitely recommend Attic Masters!

The four other companies I called had someone come out and give me ridiculous high pricing and barely explained what insulation is best for my attic and WHY!!! They were quick, super clean, and friendly. They even took pictures before and after. I'm happy I found this company. The price saved me around $2000 compared to the other quotes I got. Wow. 5 star across the board for Aldo and team…read more I had needed to get insulation done in a remodeled house and had chatted with one company who spent an hour at my house and quoted me $12,000. That seemed really high so I did some more homework and reached out to Aldo with insulation nation. I highly recommend them from an integrity and work standpoint.

A gf had it done years ago and said it did make a difference in her house. After researching info on Consumer Reports and AI, I started interviewing companies and getting quotes. When I called Insulation Nation I could tell Dustin knew his stuff and had integrity. His quote was very fair and much less than the first one I received from another vendor who acted surprised that I knew what a R rating was. Dustin recommended a radiant barrier on the inside of the roof to help keep the attic cooler. I had not seen that mentioned in my research, nor from the other company, but eagerly said YES! Anything to keep cooler. From the first call with Dustin until the job was completed, everything was top notch. Communication was great. They texted their eta and arrived on time. The crew was clean, polite, friendly and professional. They took before, during and after photos. Aldo showed them to me when they were done to ensure I was happy with their work and to answer any questions I might have had. Their work was excellent. They paid attention to every detail sealing any air leaks I had-which were several. If only other companies were this professional and easy to work with. I very highly recommend Insulation Nation.

After we discovered a slab leak, our plumber, Art from AmPro, recommended the company. We trusted his recommendation and decided to move forward without hesitation. From the start, Josie was wonderful to work with and kept us well informed throughout the entire process. Rene and his repiping team arrived with a clear game plan and immediately put us at ease. They repiped our entire home and had the water running again within just nine hours. Rene and his team communicated with us along the way, listened to our needs, and left everything clean when the work was finished. The patchwork team arrived on time the very next day and was just as clean and efficient. By the end of the day, all the openings had been patched and textured. A few days later, we noticed two small accidental drill holes that had gone through the walls. When we let Josie know, she quickly arranged for a patcher to come back and take care of them right away. We truly appreciated how promptly the issue was handled. We chose PEX-A piping for our own reasons, and we are very happy with both our choice and the overall experience. From beginning to end, the team made a stressful situation much easier for us. We would choose All Pro Copper Piping again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs repiping work.

A few of the places I checked with didn't want to give a rough estimate, but none of the them lied about their reasoning, so they didn't get reviews. Some even gave me a rough estimate right here on yelp. Based on some of the other reviews, it seems like this sort of pressured sales approach is their business model, instead of helpful answers and good work.

This was the lowest bidder by maybe 10% and did OK work, but I had to check their work then request…read morecorrections, and they were unclear on scope options so I was left with unsealed fixtures and fiberglass debris in the house to clean up myself. While they did work with me, did exceed expectations in rodent proofing patch support, and were quite friendly and ready to correct most shortcomings I pointed out, I would have preferred they not rely on my oversight to give quality work consistent with my original direction. They did not tape off a sealed plastic tunnel from the front door to the attic, did not let me know sealing off light fixtures was excluded, left some spotty gaps between batts of insulation and between batts and joists and did not run a second layer of insulation where I had requested it perpendicular to the first layer to better air seal joist gaps. They were unclear about IC-rated lights in contact with fiberglass batting insulation and its fire risk and did not seem to know the code on attic ventilation requirements enough to answer questions fans or vent sufficiency. Granted, I did not have insulation removal as part of the scope, it was already done by a prior contractor during rodent proofing. Instead of making a tunnel, they taped off a small space from the attic hatch to the floor and put construction paper down on the floor. This helped with scuffs to the floor and may have contained some of the fiberglass dust/particles, but did not protect from scuffs on the wall or contain the fiberglass during transit to the door that was shed from the new batts being carried in or from their clothes and shoes, even though they generally had only one person trafficking the batts up to the hatch. They bagged up debris in the attic and carried batts in bags in from the door. They removed all the paper and plastic before I was done with my inspection, an inspection that yielded more work required, then they didn't put protection back for the short time of rework. The foot traffic left some fiberglass flakes and particles strewn about the floor. It took me two hours of cleanup to get that debris fully clean so my baby could crawl on the floor again. I vacuumed with a shop vac, made three passes with a swifter dry duster, and vacuumed with a house vac. I suggest asking them during the bid stage about the following, getting a quote for that work (with optional line items if you don't need everything), and confirming it is written in the proposal/bid/work order scope before awarding the project: - a sealed tunnel for transport of removal and installation - cleanup with vacuums and swiffer after until no particles remain in house on floors or touch surfaces - air-sealing fixtures and other gaps from rooms below - code and safety insulation contact with fixtures and blocking with gaps (2"-3"?) to avoid contact - insulation contact with rafters/roof battens/sheathing - roof ventilation adequacy and fan install if needed - gap prevention - running a second layer of batts perpendicular to the base layer for better air sealing - minor or major rodent proofing gap sealing with mesh and foam This is a good list to consider for any contractor you use, some contractors may find this obvious or already include it, but you could still benefit from knowing what to check for and avoiding change orders. I ultimately was satisfied by the work and they made some corrections and concessions to balance the expectations vs delivered result, but would have been happier with more clarity of scope options (too late to seal the fixtures now unless I pay $600 more or do it myself) and I had to do lots of cleanup that I could have avoided if I simply rejected their suggested home debits containment method of bagging with no tunnel. Although I would not suggest this crew if you are not prepared to check their work, which not everyone is physically capable of doing in tight spaces of some attics.
