Wow the chicken was very well seasoned & had so much flavor. The customer service was amazing! The guy taking our order was very welcoming & seemed happy that we were enjoying the food. Great place if you're looking for really good shawarma. Ordered the chicken shawarma plate with extra chicken for $7. Total was $28 but for the amount of food and the quality that you get, it is definitely worth it. The service is definitely a plus here. They're very fast and also super friendly, especially the cashier. The overall ambiance is clean and welcoming. There's also decent amount of parking spots in the lot. read more

Not even close to being the best shawarma. The meat was chewy and off. Seemed like left over at best. The hummus was amazing. I just don't get it. He was real nice and the basil drink was delicious. I really liked the banana pudding with the brownie bits like he suggested and I got the chicken schwarma. My only wish I had more sauce, but I'm a sauce girl and I like my rice a bit moist - but it's not bad. It's all nice and good with the brown bits. read more

Honestly, really disappointing experience at Best Shawarma in Glendale. I paid around $16-$17 per wrap for two meals plus drinks, and my total came out to about $40 and change--and I left still starving. The wraps were mostly lettuce with barely any meat. For that price, it's just not acceptable. You expect a shawarma wrap to be filling, not feel like a light salad rolled in bread. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on my visit, the portions are way off for what they charge. Definitely not worth the price. read more

I had been here so many years ago, and didn't have a special experience. My husband and I decided to try one more time and I really happy that we gave an another chance. There is a small indoor dining with 5 tables max and some outside. We ordered to plate shawarma one with lamb and one with pork. They both were super delicious and it get ready so quickly. I love the variety of the shawarma that they have, pork, lamp, chicken and beef. This place is one of the best shawarma places in Glendale area. read more

So I don't usually write reviews, but I HAD to for this place. Everything we got was incredible. The beef plate was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful, the pork fries were next level (seriously so good), and the dolma and tzatziki were fresh and delicious. Every single thing we tried was a hit, but what really made this place special was the customer service! They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about us having a good experience. They even gave us free banana pudding, which was amazing! You can tell they take pride in their food and how they treat people. This place hands down has some of the best shawarma I've had. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right -- not dry at all. By far my favorite shawarma place in LA. It's a nice hidden spot and they give you plenty of food for the price you pay, I usually get a lamb plate. The OMG fries are good but I don't think it is worth the money. There are a few tables and it seems like most people usually get take away so going down and getting seated is super easy and convenient. It is a fast casual restaurant so you order at their register and then pay and then they bring you the food at your table. They have a TV playing turkish(?) music videos which I found amusing but it's not that loud so you can have a nice casual dinner here in peace. read more

Best Shawarma was a last minute dinner stop in the area, first time customer. The OMG fries with lamb were sauced well, a little extra seasoned, but overall good for the value and was filling. The falafels were very large, a smaller fist size, and though they were fresh and flavorful, i did find them a little on the dry side. I'd definitely come back to try more on the menu, it's in a very convenient area of Glendale and the 134. Though no other customers were inside, it did take us roughly 15mins for our order to be ready. read more

Best Shawarma is literally some of the best shawarma, lule, chicken kabob, whatever, you'll find in the Southern California area - which says a lot when you're living in Glendale. We have eaten here literally weekly thus far in a four week stay - does this convey how happy we are with the food here? Extremely no-frills, straightforward hole-in-the-wall restaurant off of Glenoaks. We've sampled more Armenian/Lebanese/Persian than we've ever imagined during an unexpected stay in Glendale, and both my husband and I (and two kids too) unequivocally agree that the meat here at Best Shawarma is absolutely unmatched. Especially both the chicken and beef lule - super juicy, seasoned and flavorful, cooked fresh to order - absolutely cannot go wrong. Chicken kebab is also exquisitely tender. Hummus is decent albeit I've had better hummus elsewhere, but I'll let this slide (a little grainy). Staff are friendly and always have a smile, even if they incorrectly presume off the bat that you speak Armenian. Limited inside/outside seating. New go-to for take out! read more

I honestly love coming to eat here. I always get the pork or lamb shawarma plate or the omg fries with pork or lamb. Everything about this place is so good. Their service is great and everyone is super friendly. Their seating area has 5 tables but plenty of chairs and outside seating as well. They have nice music playing every time I come and it's a very welcoming environment. Definitely recommend coming here. read more

Needs Improvement Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. Everything is hidden behind a door, so you can't see the shawarma or how it's being prepared, which raises some concerns about transparency and freshness. I went during lunch time and the new prepared beef is ready behind the doors, seeing that I asked if it's ready, they said yes and also it hasn't been cut yet.. But to my disappointment, they ended up wrapping the shawarma with what seemed like leftover beef from the previous day. The pieces were clearly smaller cuts and not freshly sliced, which felt very misleading and disappointing then I checked to see if they used the new prepared meet and saw they didn't. They have the Lebanese bread and the chicken marination and spices is very very good and tasty.
