He replaced the damaged section, properly reattached the downspout at the gutter, and secured everything to the stucco so it hopefully won't pull out again. The work looks clean and solid, and he explained what he was doing and why. Communication was straightforward. Overall a professional, no-nonsense repair. This was a bad experience with Josh Banales. He is not licensed but says he is. I met with him to do a couple rain gutter repairs, which he advertises he does, at my house and another property . He said $400 for both. I said ok. The rain gutter at my house was slanted at an angle on the slanted facia board so in a heavy rain water falls over the slanted gutter causing a waterfall which goes into my house. I told Josh he needs to install wedges so the gutters become vertical, not slanted and water stays inside the gutter. He worked on it for awhile and said it's fixed. It was not fixed, he did not install wedges, same slant as before. He argued with me and bullied me saying it was fixed and wanted money. He then went to the other property, installed a small gutter not attached to anything and took off the downspout and put it in trash area. He texted and said he would be finished in 30 minutes. I paid him $400. I went to the property next day, nothing finished, downspout in trash. I set up a time for him to finish both jobs and he was a no show. I told him to return my money, he refused. I am taking next steps. This has been a terrible experience for me. read more
