The team showed up on time, honored the estimate (based on photos I had provided), and left the areas looking better than before the job. The pricing to job completed was a good value in my opinion and I would highly recommend that to get an estimate for any residential project. They talk up their donations over the phone and the guys on location certainly don't correct the impression when asked. The real story only became clear as the truck packing neared completion. I regret having given them things which I feel should have had a second life rather than a trip straight to the incinerator. All that said, the guys that did the work were efficient and protected the house. And they responded super fast to my call.

This company quoted my husband 1 price and then when I called to schedule (just a few months later…read more- our piano move was contingent upon a sale of a house) they increased the quote. They claimed they didn't know about the stairs or location when they quoted my husband (there were 5 stairs) and they did, my husband provided that information. We had no idication there would be a price increase in the quote if we waited. My husband made it clear we were not looking for the piano to be moved right away. Be warned, they mentioned their prices fluctuate through out the year. So apparently you have to keep getting quotes regularly in order to get an accurate idea of cost. It's strange to me they would site the price increase because, their "prices flucatuate throughout the year" for the first reason for the change in quote and then tell me it was also becuase of the amount of the stairs and location (even though they had that information to begin with). The communication/customer service I received via text message was extremely poor. When someone is moving a piano and will be working with my parents, customer service is key. I can't afford to gamble with their level of service, especially if my first interatctions were below reasonable standards. A company that can't take accountablity for their quote process and places the blame back on the customer makes no sense to me.

Well, a long story short, I underestimated the amount of stuff we had, and the size of the truck we needed. We needed two additional trucks. I was able to get one from Uhaul and minute men said I could use the truck they came in! They saved the day! Not only did they provide the additional truck, but the two guys spent nine hours packing all three trucks! If I was them, I would have been frustrated and not had a good attitude, but these guys finish the job and were pleasant the whole time. They did an exceptional job! When we unpacked at the new house, they brought 4 guys and did all three trucks in 3 1/2 hours. They were pleasant and professional! I am greatful for Minute Men Movers, who in a difficult situation (cause by the customer), made the move happen to the customer's satisfaction! Thank-you Minute Men Movers! You're the best!

When I questioned them, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem as long as the POD was packed that same day. That turned out to be completely wrong. When the PODs were opened four months later, every single piece of furniture was damaged -- every piece. To make matters worse, after the job was done, I needed a receipt for my employer, and it took weeks of texting and following up with the owner to finally get one. The whole process felt unprofessional and sketchy. I've worked with several moving companies during this relocation, and Minuteman Movers was the only one that gave me such an unreliable and frustrating experience. I significantly underestimated the amount of time our move would take. The move took over 10 hours and filled 3 trucks! The team of 4 guys who came out were on time, very polite and worked their butts off the whole day. I only saw them take one break the whole day! One of the guys told me he thought a mirror may have cracked, despite being wrapped carefully. He was very apologetic. I told him stuff happens. I saw them being very careful with all of our items. The mirror was a bummer, but could have happened to anyone. The owner had indicated he would give me a discount when we had first talked. However, there was not a discount at the end. I emailed the owner the next day and asked about the discount. He got back to me right away and said he would look into it. Frankly, that very minor issue does not change my review or opinion about this moving company. If we had to move again tomorrow (God forbid!) I would call these guys again. They were AMAZING while facilitating our move this summer. They were quick to respond, answered all of our questions, gave us a fair quote, showed up on time (early!), and were very friendly. Our movers were careful and efficient. We had 4 movers, but one of them got lost somehow on the way to our new house and we ended up with only 3 movers for most of the time. It was no big deal, they still finished under time and only charged us for the 3 movers instead of 4. The guys were respectful about taking their shoes off on carpet and being careful around walls / doors / corners. None of our belongings were damaged. The other amazing thing is they were able to reschedule our move last minute when both my husband and I came down with COVID 2 days before our move (and I was 30 weeks pregnant). We were extremely sick and I was panicking about trying to make the move happen, but luckily Mint had a time slot open up the following week and they changed our reservation, no problem. The day before the junk removal date I received a call confirming the time and all the details, something I appreciate. When the workers arrived they all introduced themselves and we walked through the home and garage to indicate the items we needed removed. I was very impressed with the professionalism and hard work from the crew. They brought 2 trucks: one for all the furniture, dishes, planters and other items they would donate at Goodwill and one truck for the junk. Apparently this is the shadiest of all shady industries as searching for movers via Google will attest to. Fortunately, these guys are totally above the board and were terrific with our move. Aaron and his team of two packed our entire house in a single day and I would say did a better job that I ever would have in packaging our stuff. Other than a slight snafu where they didn't realize we needed a parking permit for the moving van on the SF receiving end, everything went far smoother than I could have ever hoped for. I highly recommend them for making such a stressful event very not stressful for us.
