Let me start this out by saying I got charged an extra $50 when I went to replace my lost Apple Watch. They also gave me the smallest size which barely fit my wrist so luckily it was for me and not a gift for anyone with larger wrists that me. That being said, the bathrooms are clean and they are very quick to help you find what you need. They have a huge stock of new gadgets and tech. I like this location better than the other one across town because the parking lot isn't as hectic as the one at the mall. They also are pretty well stocked. They had my husbands little handheld game device too when it wasn't available at target so that's a plus. read more

I went into Best Buy looking for speakers. Upon entering the store I was greeted by a cheerful employee who told me that if I needed anything, to let him know. He then disappeared into another dimension. I worked my way back to the speakers and surprisingly found one of exactly what I was looking for. One stereo speaker would be odd so I went to find someone who knew if there was a second speaker and where it might be. Many customers were roaming the store looking for someone to help them, but help was very rare this day. At the front of the store there were three manager types having some kind of impromptu employee meeting. I stood to one side politely waiting for them to finish their conversation. When they completed talking with each other and were obviously through, I approached and said, "pardon me do..." at which point they all three walked off in three different directions completely ignoring me as though I were invisible. Manager types. No wonder service is so piss poor. Well I didn't get my speakers, I spoke with a cashier as I was leaving but she gave me a song and dance and was no real help. Service here has been a problem for a long time, but it certainly has stopped me from ever going back. This place is really dysfunctional. read more

The staff have been friendly in multiple visits and have greeted me the second I walk through the door, in addition to asking if I am looking for anything specific or need any assistance. While in the store, each time, other staff that are walking through the store have inquired if I need any assistance. The store has always been clean, and most items are in stock. There has not been any issues finding anything, and those items not in stock have had free delivery. So far, there have been no items that are not deliverable in Alaska, like most other companies. read more

This Best Buy has been.. well... the BEST! I've gone a couple times and found everything I needed thanks to the staff. They know exactly what kinds of cords and attachments to help set up my multi screen/display desk situation. They have a TON of phone cases, computers, monitors, and home surveillance systems. Most recently, I cracked my iPhone screen, and Blake at the Geek Squad counter had it fixed within an hour. Called on the phone and spoke to Zach. He went over some electronic quotes of cash back for my iPhones. And Apple Watch. A couple hours later I arrive at the store (BestBuy) Muldoon location. A lady named Wendy, asked if I needed help when I reached the customer service section. I noticed she was fidgeting a lot and kinda jerking her limbs as she was talking to me. I ignored it assuming she may have had a disability of some sort. As I explained to her what a tech told me over the phone for my electronics, she very rudely cut me off and snapped "we do not purchase iPhones! Idk who you spoke to but NO." I didn't react to her energy at all I simply decided I will take the store credit. As I had my items analyzed fit trade in's, I was offered less than half of what I was offered on the phone with the best but representative Zach. I decided this visit was a bad idea. Used like New iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone XS, Apple Watch Series 6, together less than 300$? Compared to an estimated 850$ over the phone. Moral: don't go to Best Buy to trade in or sell your products. Me and my son visited Alaska and decided to stop by Best Buy to find an RTX 3080 we went to customer support and asked if they had one, customer support said no so I gave up and was about to leave, but then I asked again and they said no. News flash: Yukon TV is not, I repeat, not a suitable solution, and a complete rip off. On to Netflix- ! :-) So, why just 3 stars for Best Buy after purchasing a new Toshiba Firestick TV? The employees are helpful, in that they seem to be up to speed with today's technology, and answered pretty much every (old person!) question we had for them. However, something just really bothers me about Best Buy, and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the chain store feel I get, as I miss the local stores of the past. I came down here to take a break from running errands as well as to check out and browse the weekly deals they have on TV shows and movies. This Best Buy is located at the large shopping center at the end of Muldoon Rd. next to Target right beside the Glenn Highway. This location is smaller compared to the Dimond Center Best Buy. The employees here are friendly when they greet you but they don't seem to want to make the extra effort to track something down if an item is not found on the shelf. I had requested a specific pair of headphones that I wanted to use for working out at the gym and the associate helping me out said that they didn't have this. After a few seconds of awkward silence, I asked if he could check the Dimond location and see if they had it in stock. The look on his face told me he didn't feel like making the call to the other store or to check on one of the computer stations so he whipped out his personal phone and pulled up the Best Buy website which I thought was kind of unprofessional on his part. After checking for the model, he points out that it's available on the website. (That's not what I asked...... I just wanted to know if Dimond carried it.) I asked again to check the Dimond location. This time he did and he said they had one available in stock. I asked if he could call the store and make sure that it is available to put on hold since there was only one left. He said he couldn't do that and that I had to go down there and check...... (The worst answer you can give to someone asking for your help and clearly a bad example of customer service.) At that point, I told him thanks for his help (not really sure if there was even any help to begin with) and decided to check out the TV shows for sale. The experience in the store became better when I found that they had a lot of great deals for TV shows on DVD at $10.00 each. There was an entire bin overflowing with shows from the 1960's to today. Some of the shows I was able to snag for a great deal include Magic City with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the White Queen TV miniseries, Seinfeld Season 1, The Adventures of Superman with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, HBO's Tales From The Crypt Seasons 1-3, and Burn Notice Season 1. The total amount of my purchase came up to $80.00 but this was an amazing deal that could've cost me over $200.00 if these shows were at the regular price. This experience alone was enough to leave my review at two stars rather than one for the employee's lousy attempt at trying to help me when he looked like he would rather take a nap. I went to the Dimond location immediately after leaving the store and not surprisingly, when I asked for the headphones, I was told they were sold out after checking the inventory. This could all have been avoided had that one employee CALLED the store and told them to hold it for me before I came down there. If the Best Buy at Muldoon expects more positive reviews on Yelp, they need to train their employees that there is no such thing as the word "no" when helping a customer. read more

My wife went here to get some portable rechargeable speakers for camping. She came home with an ipod clock radio that only works when you plug it in. She said that the place was dead, couldn't get help, and when she was walking off with the product, a young man asked her if she found what she was looking for. She said " portable speakers for my i-phone" He reportedly said, yes, that is the only one that will work with your phone,( she has the old school dock" He was incorrect, upon returning, they all would have worked using her blue-tooth. In the back corner, as far as you can walk, there was 4 ft of shelf space....yes you read that right, four feet of shelf space dedicated to their portable speakers, and a poor selection at that, unable to listen to sound quality on them. I walked my spouse a few feet to a competitor, who's focus is home decor, clothing, and some food. They had TRIPLE the shelf space dedicated to portable speakers, and I could push button through listen to them all, which solidified my purchase there...... Dear Best Buy, there are many chains that have a small section dedicated to home electronics, How in the world do you allow a place next door to have a better display, and of better products like BOSE, JBL , and.... in general a larger selection. To top it off, two young geeky guys stopped by right away and helped us choose one for our purpose, and they actually had real good input....( product knowledge) BEST BUY, what happened to your identiy. BLENDERS, KITCHEN APPLIANCES, AND DESK FANS, and FOUR FEET OF SHELF SPACE DEDICATED TO PORTABLE SPEAKERS? This location however, is quite small compared to some of the Best Buy I have been spoiled with. You'll be sorely disappointed if you're looking for a Magnolia section because unfortunately you won't find one here :-/ If you dont know what a Magnolia section is...go find one! I had a Compustar Remote start installed by the geek squad and could not be more happy with the service and professionalism of the installation technician. It was installed on my Landcruiser, which is not an easy vehicle to work on with electronics due to the array of features it has. I do a lot of my own work, including running aftermarket lights, which I am very tidy in doing. All wiring for the remote start was ran as to not to interfere with any existing wires (as much as possible) and professionally attached...not a hack job! I would trust them with any electronic services they offer! read more

I was in the Anchorage store looking for a simple HDMI connection and the young lady working the section was offering help to every one in the same area except for myself. After about 20 min looking on there site and referencing to what i am seeing in the store in an attempt to figure it out. I finally asked her do you work this area. She replied, yes. I told her I find it rude that you did not offer to help me. She then gave the excuse, I have been helping a customer find a computer for the last hour. She now offers to help. The Best Buy itself I haven't had any issues with. However, Geek Squad was of zero help. I brought my computer in to get checked out on a touchpad and keyboard issue. The guy working for Geek Squad told me within a minute of walking up to the counter that my computer would need to be sent out to get checked out and how it would cost over $400 to get the keyboard replaced and that I should just buy a new laptop. Sounded pretty suspicious since he didn't even bother to turn on the computer. So I took it to a local group who fixed it for $50 as it was just a windows update issue. Unfortunately I am an electronics fool, I love TV's, Phones, Camera's Video Camera's Stereo's and all that good stuff. And all I can say is WOW....really WOW...I love all that kind of stuff, and wondering around playing with all the "Toys". They definitely have everything electronic, (including washers/dryers), and I LOVE it. Don't go to this store for your remote starter. They must have only one guy installing them. I went in, knew what I wanted and tried to buy one and get an appointment scheduled in the beginning of December. I knew I'd have to wait a while, no problem. Finally got a guy to get the starter out for me, but when he tried to find the install bay guy who would check me out and schedule the appointment, he was nowhere to be found. No problem, people go on breaks, I waited. And waited. And...you get the picture. 45 minutes later, still no guy so the kid checked me out. I called the next day to schedule my appointment for after Christmas0 three weeks out. Ok, whatever. Went in on that day, the guy who took my appointment didn't write it down!! I had no appointment even though I'd put it on my calendar on the day I made it, so not my mistake. Then, I asked to be put on the schedule- sure, FOR THE END OF JANUARY! Even though they screwed up. Nice. No apology at all. I went to return the remote starter because you can't take one that you bought from one Best Buy in town to the other one to be installed. You have to return it and then re-buy it at the other one. Yeah. The customer service lady was terrible. She was so not cool to the guy in line in front of me with a camera return. There was a cable missing from a camera he said that hadn't been opened anymore than seeing it was the wrong thing. She persisted they couldn't take it back. He nicely explained that he was the only one who'd touched it and there was no cable, so no dice. I told him that Canon had a 90 day warranty and he could call them and they'd mail him a new cable. He thanked *me*. LOL! She returned my remote starter. I mentioned that I'd gotten this one when it was on sale, it was no longer on sale, yet I wanted to get it for the same price at the other Best Buy since this store messed up. She said they'd give me the same deal. I asked how they'd do that since I had to return this one before buying the other at a completely separate store. She said, 'just have them call me'- in a very not nice tone. Uh, thanks? I went to the other store- couldn't get it on sale. It was actually *more* than the other store had charged me for installation because they charged me totally wrong. I explained the situation at the Dimond store and they were awesome. They gave me a deal to make it the same as the price I was incorrectly given at the other store. And they got me in less than a week later. Frankly, the Muldoon store is much closer to me, but they've lost *all* my business with, not just their screw ups, all new stores have those. But with their complete lack of customer service. I was never an irrate jerk, but I didn't even get an apology for all my trouble. Well, from the Muldoon store- I got like three of them from the Dimond store. LOL! read more

Standard Best Buy. My main complaint is that it's a bit on the smaller side and a lot on the messy side. But all in all, I've never been a fan of Best Buys. I think it's the lighting or color scheme or something. There's just something off-putting. I'd rather research technology on my own and order it online than step foot into a Best Buy. Luckily, our encounter with the staff made up for that. We went in because I wanted to exchange a Christmas present. The woman working customer service was pleasant and easy going. We got our store credit without any hassle. After, we went looking for something to spend it on. I've had trouble with my phone screen protector (the Galaxy S6 Edge is not made for easy coverage), so we went to talk to whomever was working in the cell phone department for recommendations. He was awesome. He saw that my phone needed to be updated, so he plugged it in for me while he showed me different options. After I selected a case for my mobile, he let my husband play on the new virtual reality headset they had on the floor. Knowing perfectly well that we had no intention on purchasing one (at least, *I* had no intention... the husband is a different story), he patiently let us mess around with it and took us on all the different adventures. Not this store, but Best Buy in General I have a fraud case ($400+ delivering to TX and CA but I live in Alaska) and their investigation and CSR team is the most incompetent people ever responding to this. Taking them 2+ months. I have the exact address and time and date that these transactions happened but they still want me to front partial cost for it. I explained I haven't made a purchase from Best Buy or use the card for since June which I paid off that month, and the fraud occurred in August. Still, they sent me a new card that I never received (in September) I told them I never received it, and they sent me a new card and I haven't received that either. Each time I contact them they make a new "case" I guess, because I called for a follow up in September and October, and they can only tell me that I reported it on the date I called in for updates. Like WHAT? Can we please go look back and look at my actual account history. On top of this, they want to lower my credit limit, because I refuse to pay off something that I reported as fraud. How is it that Hotmail and Apple can see my IP and location when I login or make any kind of transaction but Best Buy cannot see that I obviously don't live in 3 different states at once? How is it that Best Buy and Citibank wants me to pay for part of something, when I was the one who got robbed? I am writing a review everywhere because that is terrible business. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. They should change their name to Worst Buy. We ordered a laptop online the night before Black Friday. We received a notification that the purchase was successful and that we could pick it up between 5am and 10pm. The $1000 was taken out of my bank account immediately. When we arrived to pick the laptop up at 10am, they first told us the laptop was not at the store. We went to see if we would be able to purchase it off the shelf and was then told that the store pickup did actually have the laptop but that we were not allowed to have it. They gave us numerous different stories and kept telling us to be patient. Eventually, we were told that we were not able to pick it up because their system was bogged down from Black Friday and could not verify that we had paid. I find this ridiculous since I have a bank statement showing the money was already taken out of my account. I called corporate and the representative said that their system told them the item was ready and awaiting pickup. We spoke to the general manager of the store, as well as other staff members and no one was able to give us our item. Instead, they simply showed us the laptop box multiple times to prove they had it, but were not able to give it to us. For our troubles, corporate offered a $15 gift card. This represents less than 1% of our purchase and is virtually useless since neither I nor my family or friends will ever purchase from Best Buy ever again, especially this one on Muldoon. I have disputed the theft with my bank. read more

I received a camera from hubby-dear for my birthday. Love him bunches, but zoom under 5x is poopy. I wanted a bigger, better and more fabulous camera! I brought it back with the receipt, but they wouldn't accept it. Not even for store credit - I really just wanted a more expensive camera. I can't remember why they wouldn't take it back. Maybe the 30 day rule - hubby bought it a fair bit before my birthday because there was a sale. Anyway... it was a lose / lose situation. I had to keep a crappy camera; I will never buy another camera from BB; and they lost out on my super-purchase of a better camera. I bought my current kick-butt camera from Costco - there was an imperfection on the lens (I could have cried!), and they gave me my money back, no problem. I promptly re-bought the same camera from Costco and am taking pictures of polar bears from here with my super zoom!!! Best Buy is still good for some things, but I try not to buy anything from there that I can find elsewhere. I used to go there at least a couple times a month - I think I may have shadowed their doors twice in the past year. Worst shopping experience ever. I entered the store, usually the CSR (customer service rep) at front greets you, no greeting even though he clearly saw me enter. I went into the computer area looking for a gaming mouse. I had researched prior to entering the store and found they should have several on hand to choose from. I was among several CSRs in the section. They were busy putting away merchandise and chatting among themselves. I browsed for 10 minutes (timed on phone) looking for the gaming mice. They were in a couple of areas. I stopped and waited at the display of Logitech mice and attempted to gain notice from any one, short of calling out across the store. The mouse I wanted to try was encased in a display and no mouse out to check to see if it for my hand. When paying $$ for a mouse I always check to ensure its the right fit. After waiting and no attention I left the store in disgust. I'm shocked at their lack of customer service. I've been in there several times and had great shopping experiences before. I really loathe BB. Its not spur of the moment hatred either, my disdain goes back several years. Their customer service model is horrible. You're accosted the moment you walk in the store by over eager sales clerks which is bad enough. However, when you ask a simple question they never know anything about their products. Against my better judgment I recently went in and asked about a simple ethernet bridge for my blu-ray player. I was given a load of BS and "ahhh I think the geek Squad would have to install that." Loosers. Their whole model is sell people shit and services they don't need. I sincerely hope this company goes under. read more
