Terrible they didn't fix my beats and said they sent me a email if i wanted refurbished ones but it is no where to be seen

Review / Caution About Leasing at Best Buy using Progressive Leasing I bought a pair of JVC clip-on headphones from Best Buy using a lease-to-own option through a third-party leasing company. The headphones were very uncomfortable, hurt my ears, and felt heavy. I had them for less than 24 hours. I returned them the next day and attempted to exchange them for a more comfortable JVC earbud version that was the same price ($32). Even though the item was returned within the return window, I was told I could not do a simple exchange because the purchase was made through a leasing company. I was then told I would need to pay $85 to exchange or resolve the lease--despite the original headphones being returned and the replacement costing the same. This cost was not clearly explained at the time of purchase and appears to be related to lease fees, not the product itself. This experience was extremely frustrating and confusing. If you're buying low-cost items, do not use this leasing company. Returns and exchanges are far more complicated, and you may still be charged even if you return the item quickly. None of this was clearly explained upfront. Best Buy needs to do a better job informing customers that leasing significantly changes return and exchange rights. Buyers deserve full transparency before agreeing to a lease. read more

Never fixed my laptop. I took my laptop to "Geek Squad" for an unexpected issue, the problem was when I tried to shutdown my laptop it would turn back on and would be on the white nova menu. Due to not turning off at all it would over heat. Geek Squad said my warranty was expired but it was fixable so I made an appointment and got it sent off. 7/20 7/24 Received a text saying to approve a step to continue the repair. I called and they said the issue was a USB port so it needs to be replaced, after continuously asking if it really is the problem and if the white nova menu will disappear, the representative said he didn't know it's just what the tech had left in the notes that needed to be replaced to continue with the repairs. I approve. Got my laptop back 7/29. DEFINITELY NOT THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. I received the laptop completely dead without charge, I charged it and the problem was still there. 7/30 Went back to let them know nothing was fixed they said they will take it back to work on it again. Received the laptop back 8/8, completely out of charge again, STILL WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. Manager is now involved and said they will return it to get it fixed and will not charge us due to it never getting repaired. 8/26 Finally got it back, without charge AGAIN, problem is still there! Only thing done was completely restart as if laptop is for a new user, wiped everything. Not only that, several of my keys on my keyboard no longer work. This was a waste of time and money, if they didn't know how to fix it they could've just said so. I would've taken it somewhere else or buy a new computer for college. read more

Husband bought a new HP desktop He was told it was easy setup. However. After trying and two hours on the phone with Geek Squad he ended up taking it into the store. Geek squad over the phone was useless! When buying a new device like a computer take your old one in with you. This will save you time and headaches. Went to this BestBuy as soon as they opened to purchase an ssd for my PC based off my own research. When I returned to my house the sad would not show. I returned the item in exchange for another sad that I was told was compatiable with my motherboard by "GEEK SQUAD". Following that purchase, the results were the same. If you need anything PC related these bitches don't know what the fuck they're talking about ultimately causing me to wastse gas and my whole day for what was suppse to be a simple purchase. We ordered and paid for a dishwasher. We were off work on Saturday and it was to be delivered. I watched the delivery person turn around in my neighbors driveway and left. We had instructions to call first. One customer service said they they guaranteed that the dishwasher would be brought back, but it wasn't. The assistant manager of the flowood store hung up on my wife. We called corporate and had the ordered cancelled and got one at Lowes that day. I'm going to go ahead and give them 3 stars just because this is the only Best Buy in the area unless you want to drive all the way up to County Line Road or even farther up into Madison. This is certainly not one of my favourite Best Buy stores and that's because of the customer service. When it comes to the different departments, I'd say I get good customer service about 50% of the time. Sometimes the associates know what they are talking about, other times they are completely clueless. Customer service at the actual customer service counter is deplorable. I've actually spoken to a manager on several different occasions about how awful the people at the customer service counter are. They have been downright rude and condescending. Then there are the people at the register.... sometimes they make me just want to smack my head against a wall because they are so clueless. How hard is it to scan items and check someone out? You wouldn't think this would be a difficult task, but for the majority of them, it seems to be. I give them my Rewards Card and half the time they forget to scan it, then they have to get a manager to cancel out the entire transaction, then they have to ring everything up again. Yes, unfortunately, this has happened more than once. I honestly can't count the number of times I've left this particular store pissed off. Of all the Best Buy stores I have been in, I have never seen one where the blurays, dvds, and cds were so completely disorganized. It's like the people in this store have no concept of alphabetical order. They constantly forget to remove the signs for items that are on sale. I'll pick something up thinking I'm getting it for a certain price because it has the sale sign on it, I get to the register to check out and it's a higher price. So I get the whole, "Oh, someone forgot to take the sale sign down" speech. Not my problem... ever hear of false advertising, people? So yea, I have to then go deal with the horrible customer service people to get a manager. They always end up giving it to me for the price they have marked after they make me feel like they are doing me a favour because their employees aren't doing their job. Ok, after writing this review and recalling all the countless problems I've had here, I just changed my mind about the 3 stars... they are getting knocked down to 2 stars. Bought a "excellent" condition fridge online as part of an online and ready in 1 hour order. Best Buy's excellent condition is states as -- no physical flaws, scratches, or scuffs. This is what I picked up. Unacceptable. Also they didn't bother to pick the router / modem I also selected over the 5 hours ++ it took me to pick up the fridge, run an errand, the. Return to the store. I ended up buying one of the shelf and leaving. This is going back too. Trying to pass off this as an excellent condition open box is more than just unethical. The staff are 5 stars. The low rating is due to the issues i had with Best Buy themselves when ordering stuff through the store to be shipped to my home. I ordered a new computer and was charged for a new computer. The computer that arrived at my home a few days later was obviously used. After calling and having to speak with someone in another country, i returned it via mail and they were suppose to send me a new one. As soon as the return was dropped off, i got an email saying my replacement could not be fulfilled and if they were unable to ship it in the next month, they would just cancel my order. In need of a computer before school started back, i called Best Buy every few days for weeks to see what the status was. Each person i spoke to said my order was being fulfilled. They said it would be otw soon, or that it would ship the next day. Well then my order was cancelled the next day. So i went back to the store where the manager price matched on a similar computer since the one i originally ordered HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND THEY HAD NO MORE AT THEIR WAREHOUSE. This company has no idea what they have in inventory nor do they care about their customers. The associates at the store are 5/5 stars!!! The corporation itself would get 0 stars from me if that were an option. Employ people from the region the call center is supporting so there aren't as many communication issues. Take better stock of your inventory. Know what is at your warehouse and in what store. Also, If you are making an employee perform management duties, give them the title and pay that comes with being a manager!!! read more

Overpriced store; I got an Ipod Touch for Christmas and went here to see if I could get me a charger for it (because it didn't come with one). They had some for $19-$41. I thought that was ridiculously expensive and to add onto that nonsense one of the staff members came over to me looking to help me and she was nice but silent with laughter making me feel as I was stupid. She was NO help whatsoever. Only some of the popular games were on sale, and priced cheaper than regular, but not all of them which I thought didn't make any sense. No one helped. And I had bought the Geek Squad option with my laptop. Guess I will have to travel 30 miles to another Best Buy in Madison, MS. Will see if they can help. When I brought it in to repair, it took over a week. Two times when I checked on it, they said they need a password. I went in an gave the PW twice. Unfortunately, I have to give them one star went to geek squad in Flowood, MS yesterday to replace the battery on my IPhone 6s. I was getting it fixed for my brother who has Cerebral Palsy(he was so happy and excited he'd never had a touch anything it was always a flip phone), I got home to charge it completely and it didn't even turn on. Went back to the store today so they could check what happen and they had us waiting for 3 hrs we asked what was taking so long and they kept saying they were working on it. I finally was frustrated of waiting and asked again and the geek squad member proceeds to tell me they ran out of the adhesive they use to seal it. I was signed up for an Apple reservation there via the Apple website. When I arrived I was directed to the Geek Squad who basically said they could do nothing for me and gave me incorrect information regarding the issue I had. When I called and Apple to speak with them regarding the issue and how unacceptable the service was from an authorized Apple repair and retail location they were also appalled. A Best Buy that had an authorized Apple repair and retail counter should direct you to the Apple counter and an actual Apple staff member is the one to help you. To direct me to geek squad and the geek squad be the ones to diagnose my problem and give feedback incorrectly is unacceptable. I didn't know what to expect from this store, but I am glad that it was a great first experience. I had an appointment to get the inoperable Viper remote start security system removed. This is the third time the car has had issues with this security system, but at least it's under warranty. I was treated at the door very politely. After letting the associate know what I was there for, she offered to guide me to the installation department. She could have told me to drive around to the back, as I already figured that is where it would be, yet, she walked me to the back of the store. As we neared the door, another customer needed assistance with locating a keyboard. We briefly stopped, so the associate could look at the ad that was presented. Recognizing that it would take time from me, she respectfully requested the assistance of another rep that was nearby to help them find the keyboard and once the other associate arrived, she let the customer know that the other rep would take care of her so that she could finish with me. That was beautiful! I couldn't see her name tag, but she was working the front door this morning; short dark hair. Another rep caught me off guard to wish me well as I was walking through. The door rep told me to have a nice day; with a smile. Now, as I drove to the back, I noticed that the initial rep even waited for me to walk back through the store, get in my car and drive to the back of the store. I wasn't expecting her to still be there, but I suppose she wanted to ensure that all was well. Due to physical limitations, I don't walk very fast, so that took some patience. Epic customer service. Bob, the tech who was going to take care of the car, got right on it and began to figure out what he needed to do. The appointment said it would take about 45 minutes, but I think that Bob was done before then. (I know his name because he called me to let me know the car was ready. I didn't see his name tag either.) I think my hesitation made him realize that I was not quite ready to return. I was in Tranquility lmbo. He told me to take my time. When I returned, the car was waiting, and he let me know that he removed everything that needed to be removed so the Viper could be sent in for the warranty to get handled. Awesome timing and efficient work. Next time, installation. I pray the next Viper actually works longer than a couple of months. That, or they refund the money and admit the system does not work with every car... We shall see what Viper does, but today's experience with Best Buy was wonderful. read more

March 8, 2023: I went looking for a new TV. I had already done research & had a general idea of what we wanted. I was the only person in the TV/electronics department. No sales help OR customers in sight. After about 30-40 minutes, I finally walked over to the Geek Squad counter and she said she would send someone to assist me. He was very nice and seemed fairly knowledgeable. I decided what I wanted after talking with him some (what I originally came to look at). The Samsung 50" QN90B QLED was not in stock but he looked online and said they could have it in 2 days. I paid for it along with Total Tech service to deliver and install the TV. I'm happy. I get home and 7 hours after leaving the store I get an email from BestBuy telling me to reschedule my installation appointment as due to unforeseen circumstances it was not going to happen. When I clicked the attached link, it would not allow me to reschedule so I called them. The lady said it would not be in stock until May. She was very unconcerned and said they would contact me when it was available for install. I said "no, i want my money refunded". Okay, she did not care. I was disappointed that the store did not know the product was unavailable. I call Samsung today to see if any stores in the central MS area had the TV in stock. No, but they would be glad to sell direct to me, ship it to Best Buy in Flowood and I can pick it up there. In 5 days (not May). I do want the TV, this particular model but now I don't trust Best Buy. :( Would they sell the TV to someone else if it comes in before I could get there to pick it up? Would they even let me pick it up there? I guess I will see if Samsung can ship direct to us. read more

At first, during my check out. I had an issue. Not only that, everyone at the check out line had some sort of negative issueto present to the Best Buy staff. Two days ago I purchased a computer and Wacom pen from the store. Unfortunately, the sales guy had made a mistake about the computer running Microsoft ink. We had to drive about 3 hours each way to bring back to the store. The employees and managers at this store went out of their way to make it right. They spent over two hours working to find a computer that would do what we needed for the same price. In the end, they gave us a very nice discount on a computer so we could leave with what we needed and feel like the store made up for the inconvenience we went through returning the original product. Would definitely shop here again. Great employees!!! read more

Oh my goodness gracious alive! This was a nightmare! So we went Christmas shopping last month here. I was looking for a DSLR camera. I did a ton of research and decided we were going to buy a D5200 Nikon. So, before I drove to the store, I checked online to see if they had any in stock. It said online, they had 2 in stock. So, I headed up there. Now granted, I know it's Christmas and sometimes a store runs out of a product, but there was no need for this employee to be completely rude to me. She worked in the camera section. I told her I hightailed it up here because you have 2 in stock. She said they were out of 5200's in the ENTIRE DISTRICT! **sniff, sniff** what is that smell? i know that smell. Bull Crap! So, I asked her how far the district expanded she said, Destin, FL. So, you're telling me, I can't get this camera anywhere in the area. This was a complete lie! She then tried to sell me a lesser camera(which just didn't have the specs I was looking for) explaining to me it's the same thing she owns, and there is really no difference after getting an attitude with me! No HONEY! I think not! We then drove to the Madison location and purchased the camera! We get home. Open the box. My husband starts to shoot some pics. There is a smudge, in the pictures! Not on the lens, Not on the camera body, BRAND NEW out of the box a spec of packaging dust on the sensor! EEEK!!! Thank goodness I was upsold on the warranty. So, I take it back up to the Flowood store because it's closer and send it off to Geek Squad. They tell me 2 weeks, they have to ship off this BRAND NEW camera to have the sensor cleaned. The girl at Geek Squad was super nice, but she and another girl were the only employees working. There were 3 employees standing behind the customer service counter chatting it up. They were in Best Buy Shirts, NOT Geek Squad uniforms. Never again. The girl is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. When I returned to pick up my camera, She immediately recognized me! Was so helpful and I went on my merry way. There were way to many employees just standing around not working just chatting it up! When did work become fraternization time? This is so unprofessional. Most of the time I end up just figuring most things out on my own. My recent purchase was the Fitbit charge 2. I was happy they had the limited edition color I was looking for. I came to this store for 2 items. A XBox One and printer ink. I left with zero items because no one cared to even say hello. I've been a customer to Best Buy for almost 10 years and I've never encountered such rude staff anywhere else besides this location. The customer service representative that I've had to deal with was less than impressed with helping me when I returned an item weeks ago. The same thing happened to my wife returning an A/C unit accompanied with our 1 year old. The customer service representative was beyond rude and inconsiderate to her. My family will no longer be shopping here or at any other Best Buy because of the terrible encounters we've had at this location. read more

Ordered an item online. Got a text saying it was ready. Got to the store and checked in. Waited for forty minutes and watched at least two people next to me get their items and leave. Went into the store and was told they were getting my item but they were a little behind. Politely went back to my car where I waited another 40 minutes and watched more people pull up and receive their orders and leave. NO ONE came to my car to tell me anything. I checked in using the app about four times. Finally went back into the store and told an associate I had been there more than an hour waiting for curbside service. He told me I would need to get in the customer service line behind about 10 people. I walked out and was cranking my car to leave, when someone brought my order out to me. Never apologized. I will never set foot in this store again. I will order off Amazon in the future. When Best Buy closes their brick and mortar stores, this will be the reason - horrible customer service. read more

Great customer service on a Black Thursday/Friday out of any store I shopped at. (We were there at 7pm Thursday.) The line had a Geek Squad member directing us to the next available line, so you were not waiting for a customer in front of you to finish. All of the Black Friday specials were displayed for you to find, and there were a lot of staff on the floor if you had any questions. Excellent for a Black Friday/Thursday. read more

I walked into this Best Buy and one of the techs chased me down saying ma'am, ma'am can I help you. I was like geez. I told him I wanted a USB hub. He walks quickly and shows me the hubs. Cool, no issues. Thank you. I walk up to the registers and they say o they can check you out in Customer Service. There are four workers there. One walks away, one is walking around like he's lost and the other two are training. Two other customers are also standing there. Meanwhile, there are three other workers up at the welcome desk or whatever it is at the front of the store, just talking and wondering around aimlessly. After standing there for so long and not even an acknowledgement, I left and went to the next door Target and got what I needed. Even a small, one minute and we'll help you. Or if the three random guys standing in the register area would have said we can check you all out, would again be fine. It would make sense that you come to Best Buy to get electronics but if your workers continue to be lackadaisical, people will just go to the Target that a few feet away. They have a good size electronics department. Needless to say I don't spend my money where the Customer Service sucks so I will not be returning to this store. read more
