Coleman's AC Heating & Appliance Repair - New Furnace Install (with UV Light)

Coleman's AC Heating & Appliance Repair

I contacted Coleman's since I'm having issues with a recently installed, brand new water heater…read morepurchased from and installed by another company. Truthfully, I feel taken advantage of by that company, like they just wanted to make a sale, neglecting to properly inspect and diagnose my prior unit. The issues I was having previously have returned. I'm very frustrated and don't want to deal with them again. I should have known better when the responding tech took less than 5 minutes to mutter, "This heater is bad. This is not a good brand," despite my previous heater being only 4 years old. I contacted Coleman's A/C Heating & Appliance Repair seeking a professional who would listen carefully to the issues I'm describing and offer sound advice/solutions on how to proceed. I expected to hear back from Coleman's within a day or two. But my inquiry was responded to quickly. The technician was friendly, listened, and we discussed what could be done to get my hot water going again. It was suggested I contact the company that performed the install since I'm still under warranty. But it was such a negative experience with an inattentive, apathetic tech that I'd rather cut my losses and allow Coleman's to care for my unit. I will follow Coleman's advice. But at the first sign of indifference or rudeness by that other company, I'll call Coleman's out to fix my heater.

The Colemans installed a new heat pump for us this month. I chose them due to the excellent…read moreservice I had received in the past. They were very professional and the communication was excellent. The unit was installed quickly and works wonderfully well. Their estimate was below other businesses in the area and I felt that they, being a family owned business, were more invested in providing exemplary service. Which proved correct. They supplied some extras and explained operation and maintenance as well as the warranty. I highly recommend this business for anyone seeking trustworthy, reasonable, and professional service.

I do NOT recommend this company…read more After multiple service visits over the course of several months, we were finally told that the necessary repairs had been completed. Unfortunately, the appliance failed again just days later. The company received and cashed a check for more than $2,000 for the repairs. Since then, getting any meaningful response or follow-up service has been extremely difficult. As of the date of this review, the appliance still has not been properly repaired. Communication has been one of the most frustrating parts of this experience. Adrienne Rainer, the Office Manager, and the company generally do not return calls within a reasonable timeframe. In our experience, it routinely takes multiple voicemails and emails over the course of a week just to receive a return call or email response. Further, during the service visit when we were told the repairs had been "completed," the workers (one named "Eric R.") left screws, nails, and other small sharp components scattered across the floor (a primary walkway). This was particularly concerning because the workers had been in the home for hours and were aware that small children were present. Leaving nails and screws on the floor of a home with small children was both careless and alarming. The area surrounding the appliance was also left in noticeably worse condition. There were black smudge marks on the walls and baseboards near the appliance, along with dents and damage to the trim and boards where the appliance had been moved and put back into place. At this point, we have an appliance that remains unrepaired despite months of service attempts and more than $2,000 having been paid for the work, damage to the surrounding area, and an ongoing struggle simply to get someone from the company to return a phone call.
