I wish I could give this 0 stars. Stay FAR away.
Please read to the bottom and consider even the worst fact that they hired some random guy off Craigslist for a hundred bucks and left him at my house with his kid just to hurry up after they broke all our stuff and scammed us.. it's that bad and worth a read.
This company does not care to work with you. They'll probably respond back here to this review with some "factual evidential points" as I see with other poor reviews... which is exactly what I mean. If you want a personalized experience - do NOT go with Best American Movers. You will get little to no useful communication, only dates and timelines to their terms that are all hypothetical ,and only continuously telling you to reference the contract which was never individually reviewed and is completely their game. They do not care to give you a pleasant experience or try to get you the best possible outcome--- only what they choose to want to do. Our stuff was picked up on June 22nd and did not arrive to us until ON July 4th because they deem it appropriate to deliver on a holiday. When asked to move to the 5th, it was told it would be another 650$. Truly, anywhere you turn to try and work ANYTHING out better towards you, there will be a cost thrown at you. Don't let them gaslight you with their assurances. I had fought with MANY different people who think it's okay to fight right back with you. The customer service is completely degrading to you. You are NOT a customer, you are a number and they will treat you as such. How managers of a company think it's okay to literally fight with a customer is beyond me. You'd think they would know where their own trucks were but the responses received on any questions whatsoever is that "they don't need to tell me that".... Real good customer service right there. This is how they choose to render their company services. The full picture from start to finish is not posted because it would be an essay long and this is plain and simple all that you need to know. Rude, no communication, talking to you on demeaning and condescending tones, and very one-sided as to their operation. I strongly suggest you do not even bother accepting the positive reviews here. There were only 3 negative from 3 years ago so I figured things may have changed. I was completely wrong for ever going with them. And the actual physical movers? Not sure when it became acceptable to ask for a tip when you haven't even started packing yet. Besides the fact that they are all from European countries so you're unable to communicate appropriately with them.... extremely frustrating. They also hired out someone off Craigslist to help them who had no affiliation with them whatsoever who we found out had a prior criminal record as well. They then threw him a hundred dollar bill and left him on my property with his special needs son we ended up taking care of because we felt so horrible for he situation.. Extremely negligent of a company. And the multiple times they were supposed to call about pickup or arrival etc.. and didn't? Don't expect anything better from them either. This is all just the emotional stress and anger they have caused. Financially, we ended up over 4000$ over budget for everything they'll claim is our fault, but the numbers plain don't add up when you start throwing it at them and they become defensive again. They charged 150$ for a "crate" for our fish tank-- which, surprised, was completed shattered when it arrived because the "crate" was nothing more than two boxes over each other. Now we're out a 500$ fish tank set plus the 150$ of the "crate". It's a joke. A 60$ box they made us buy contained 5 cushions in it. I will never in my life go with any moving company ever again thanks to this company. Some man I spoke with decided appropriate to call it a "learning curve" at me. Well thanks for the lesson, and I hope this enlightens any future customers to pay their friend's teenage kids the 15k it cost us before ever paying a moving company. read more
