So make sure to specify with them how you want things wrapped packed. The whole move was pretty quick but it was mainly for large items the only item to get damaged was my standing desk, the particle board on the corner hit a corner. Disappointed but the guy did offer to cover it or make it right immediately, honestly it's on me I should've put bumper guards on since I knew particle board is flimsy. All in all the owner is a stand up guy just don't expect super professional movers. Good work ethic, and most of the handling was done well considering I had some tight turns with a 3 seater. Like I said price was the best I found where it wasn't bottom of the barrel sketchy dudes or high line men with shirts tucked in.

If you are moving out of State, I would suggest you look for another moving Co.! The "move…read morecoordinator" was totally unorganized and hard to reach. The billing was a nightmare, and I've lost track of how many different people I had to deal with during this long ordeal. Oh, the packing/loaders were great, and the driver was more accessible than the move coordinator in Tampa! Our items were stored at A-1 Freeman in Colorado Sprgs. for 8 months. When we finally had our stuff delivered, the china hutch was damaged, other items were missing, my desk arrived without legs and only one set of golf clubs (my wife's)! Oh, I was finally reimbursed for all of that by North American/SIRVA, but my favorite set of very expensive Calloway clubs were gone. Probably never made it out of Florida!

I was expecting them to pick up my move into the apartment between 8am and 9am. They never showed up, so I decided to call, and after a while I was told that they messed up the papers, and went to another address and didn't give me any ETA of where they would pick up my move. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

My neighbor is also very picky and has used them for several moves so I knew anyone she referred me to would be good. I wasn't disappointed. Diego--who quoted my move--was excellent, very friendly and followed up all along the way. He was also flexible on the day of my move (I wasn't sure when I would be ready and had plenty of time to move). The price was comparable to other movers who had been referred to me but Goldengate guaranteed their quote to be the price I would pay. On the day of my move, the movers arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently to get everything out of my old apt and in to my new place. Once there they worked hard to ensure they put all the boxes and furniture where it belonged, even asking me where I wanted things if they weren't sure. After the move, Diego called to be sure everything had gone well. I have NEVER had a mover do that before and it was very much appreciated. All in all, they really made this my easiest move yet. And that's saying something because I've moved so many times I can barely count them--at least 30 times as an adult. Though I hope not to never need another mover, I will definitely use them again should I ever need to move. I also refer them to my friends and family since I trust they'll do a good job at a fair price.

The company failed to provide a delivery drop off date and time. When they called (the morning of…read moredrop off) we were expected to be there in one hour. Since we were not, we were charged a late fee (which we got out of) because of poor communication. The drivers told their boss they communicated with us - it was a lie. Their boss stated that he would look into it. When he called back, he told me directly he didn't do anything more and that nothing could be done. The delivery day was made worse because the movers did not communicate, they lied, and then they didn't repair the relationship. The credit card company denied my dispute because we signed saying it was delivered. I wouldn't recommend them - and here's why. Companies that get away with this behavior (when things don't go well) will do it to anyone. So, most things in our world work out as they are supposed to...but companies that are committed to being the best don't let experiences like mine occur without some sort of "we are really sorry about this, here is what we can do."

During the move two items they boxed, my big screen tv and a Pampered Chef stoneware pan were damaged. The company has yet to pay for the damaged items despite it being stipulated in their contract because the movers (Wesley and another man) re entered my home after they should have been gone, and took money (which movers and company have admitted) from an ex that I was leaving- This is despite the fact they were at MY home and under contract with ME and NO authority was given to them to take direction from him. They destroyed a sofa that belonged to me (caught on a neighbor's ring camera) by moving it outside and dumping it upside down on the curb. The sofa was to stay in my FL home. The moving company have admitted the movers did this, but want to pay $.60/lb that their contract covers for damages during a move to property they are authorized to move, yet they had NO authorization to enter my home or move this piece of property. The only POA signed was for them to speak with my mother in GA. The company refuses to pay for the damages to the property I did authorize them to move because they said they want me to sign a non disclosure agreement about what they did and they won't pay until I agree to do that and accept their offer on the destruction of my non authorized property. This company has been given EVERY chance to make right by their contract and at this point, I just want to make sure no one else has to go through the horrible experience I have, and have for over a year.

Very bad experience…read more Movers were 20 minutes late. Then they had no mattress/box spring covers as promised when i got the quote. I had bought some originally when going to move by myself without movers but then wanted to return them since i had to book movers and they were to provide but they didn't have any so had to use my own (extra $20 out or my pocket). I was literally moving just across the street and had only a few things to move --- a bed, 2 bedside tables, dresser, standing desk, 0 boxes bc had moved everything else myself already. Out of those few things they moved- they damaged my wood bedside table (part of a matching set so now can't use both of them) and damaged my bed frame. I have pictures of both the day before with no damage which proves they did the damage to both. Also keep in mind i only used 2 hr of the 4 minimum i had to book with them. So they only had to work half the time and move a few items and still those few items got damaged just from moving them to an apartment building next door. They offered me $60 for the damage, i felt i was owed at least $200 discount but all they would come up to was $100 off. Do NOT recommend. Wish i had just finished my move myself without hiring the movers at all

I had just purchased my first home and was referred to Ruben by my realtor. Based on our agreement,…read moreI was promised three of his movers at $180/hour and was quoted five hours of labor ($900) after Ruben personally came to assess the amount of furniture I had. Things seemed smooth at first as the crew arrived around 9:30 AM and the majority of my belongings were loaded into the truck within three hours. However, once we arrived at the new house, two of the three movers left without notifying me. I assumed they were working inside the truck while the remaining crew brought items in. I even spent over $80 on lunch for all the movers, only to find out two of them had left for the day after just four hours. That's when the nightmare really began. It took over an hour to get my futon upstairs because they hadn't disassembled it. They even required my help to get it up the stairs during which they damaged my walls and staircase without repairing. I had to move boxes to the correct rooms myself, unwrap shrink-wrapped furniture, and deal with his phone breaks and gas station runs. Despite all this, by 10:30 PM- yes, over 13 hours later-Ruben requested $2,170 in payment, claiming he gave me a "discount" of $20/hour for 8 hours because two movers left early. That still left me paying well over double the original quote. To top it all off, my daughter's bed was still unassembled, my TV was sitting in the box on the floor, and several items hadn't been properly placed or finished. When I voiced my concerns about the lack of communication and unfinished tasks, I was met with a clearly frustrated and dismissive attitude. After a long and exhausting day, I was left feeling taken advantage of and extremely disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Poor communication, incomplete work, and a complete lack of professionalism.
