I believe the labels on the bottles I received were from a previous year. The wine is full of sludge, and the corks are dry. I asked them about it and they have not replied, so I can only assume I am right. With this kind of service, I predict they won't be around much longer-they have lost me as a customer! It's in front of their house, and Kit came out and greeted us, introduced us to his adorable dogs after being sure we weren't opposed, and then guided us on a tour of their little family owned vineyard. We enjoyed learning about their unique grapes and their personal histories. They don't do conventional tastings, but instead, you bought a bottle that came with 4 engraved Sailor Vineyards wine glasses (to take home), and he pours for you while you enjoy the lovely day. We took home a bottle of their reserve wine and was disappointed we wouldn't be able to return for their big concert they are putting on at the end of three summer (Aug 10, 2024) with an Italian band. We ended up walking away with a bottle of rosé Tempranillo and a beautifully aged 2014 Tempranillo hands down one of the best reds I've had all year.
