Such a great place to grab a sweet treat! Service was incredibly friendly and I especially appreciated the simple yet high quality nature of their froyo menu. Their original flavor is great - it had such a good balance between tartness and sweetness, and tasted extremely refreshing and light and creamy. The other froyo flavors that are switched in and out are usually seasonal. I highly recommend the mochi topping, which is homemade and has such a fluffy and chewy texture that pairs really well with froyo. They also have plenty of other items to choose from but mochi is definitely my go-to. Seating is a bit limited especially if you visit at busier hours. I used to get watermelon frozen yogurt with mochi as a treat after playing basketball back in high school, so I was anxious to try BerryLine's watermelon mint flavor froyo since I do like both watermelon and mint flavors. When I actually tried the watermelon-mint froyo though, I was a little underwhelmed. It was a little difficult to taste the watermelon flavor of the froyo (or really the mint flavor either). It didn't help that the froyo also had a pale green color which isn't exactly the most appetizing look. Overall, It tasted okay though I wonder if all my enjoyment really just stemmed from the fact that it was frozen yogurt and I was craving it (could I have just gotten the original flavor?). I did appreciate that there is homemade mochi at BerryLine. Taste-wise the mochi was pretty good. The texture was nice and chewy, though it was maybe a bit too powdery/sugary. My biggest complaint waa probably the size of each mochi; I certainly think they could cut them in half to make it easier to actually eat both the mochi and froyo at the same time. So I went to Berryline with my daughter and her boyfriend I have mixed feelings about the place mostly good. Parking is limited but what do you expect in Cambridge. I was surprised that there was no outside park bench little gazebo or anywhere to sit. They were allowing one group of people in at a time when I see a group 1 to3 or four people that were paying together. It seem to be working rather well as they had two girls behind the counter and they worked very well together. I had an opportunity to try a few different flavors since they were three of us The vanilla was great as was the mint chocolate chip. The raspberry yogurt was actually more invigorating and powerful than real raspberries so a little strong for my taste but my daughter loved it. The toppings are the star of this little ice cream shop. Whether it's the standard Jimmy's small M&Ms nuts etc. all are available. But they have a few items you're not usually finding at an ice cream store like chopped up pieces of cheesecake chopped up brownies etc. etc. so many good toppings I definitely would go there again. The thing that caught my attention and actually caught me by surprise what is the pricing the small ice cream has two scoops in the medium yogurts are huge for the three servings we got one small ice cream two medium yogurts with as many toppings as you can fit in the cup only came to $13 and change. I've been a fan of BerryLine since their Fenway location was open (now closed, unfortunately). This one is a bit harder to find than the other locations, but it's worth the walk from Harvard Square. What makes BerryLine stand out from other frozen yogurt places is the quality of their toppings. The fruit is always fresh. I love their mochi because it's made in house and has a wonderful chewy texture. Unlike most other frozen yogurt places, the yogurt is a bit tart and never too sweet. They have some pretty creative flavors too. I most recently had the vanilla cardamom flavor, which I loved. It had the smooth sweetness of vanilla with a hint of spicy cardamom. They have an amazing rose flavor (the best froyo I've ever had!!!) with a subtle floral flavor that paired well with strawberry slices and mochi as toppings. Their mochi as well--incredible. It's house-made, fresh, and incredibly soft. You need to get the mochi here. Their tart flavor is also quite good, but isn't the best tart I've ever had (it was a tad sweet). Perhaps I should have ordered more/that was a possible error because the small was $6. Kinda meh... a 'lil expensive, but after reading the Yelp reviews, I can see how if you just pile those toppings on, you'd be getting your money's worth, haha! :) They did have some creative dessert-type toppings, so maybe another day if I am in the area. Since starting undergrad at Harvard four years ago, I've been to Berryline more times than I can count. I've had to as a lunch or dinner replacement, as after class treat, a date with a girlfriend... They give you punch cards for a free small+toppings or medium for every 10 visits, and I've gone through way too many of those cards. The location is a little hidden, and generally quiet, but occasionally there is a line, sometimes even out the door. My favorite flavors are lavender honey (offered in June), ginger (offered sometime in the summer). and plain tart, and I love that the quality of their yogurt is pretty consistent and usually never runny. At 25 calories per ounce, it makes a pretty good snack. Update: Holy shit. The blueberry lemon tastes exactly like bluberries and lemons, exactly as it should. read more

My 50th review will be for BerryLine! Yay~ Had their raspberry froyo+strawberry topping. Friend had the coffee oreo+blueberry. I do like the tartyness of their froyo, has a more creamy texture compared to mixx, and it's less watered down. Combo of the fruits for both of us complimented well with the froyo flavor. The thing with BerryLine though is it's not self service which is something I enjoyed through mixx. Also the toppings were mediocre but I shouldn't demand much with only 3 flavors available and there's only so many toppings that'll go well with a froyo :P I also don't like the payment system where you pay different prices if you get no toppings, 1 topping, or greater than 1 topping. If I'm gonna get toppings, i'd get more than 1 but now that there's price restrictions to get more, I'm more inclined to stick with one :P Free wifi, upbeat music, cool cashier. I found the inside of the shop very warm, and I hope the workers have some way of cooling off throughout the day. The fresh fruit toppings are a good concept, but some of the fruit was not ripe (e.g., the mango and kiwi). I also overheard other customers speaking highly of the mochi topping (fresh, soft). My original fro yo with strawberries, mango, and kiwi was overall a refreshing treat on a warm Saturday afternoon in April, but it left my fingers a bit sticky. The frozen yogurt from here tastes so authentic and organic. I always come here and leave so happy. My favorite frozen yogurt flavors are the original (obviously) which is tart, Madagascar vanilla, coconut, and Nutella. I almost never get toppings here mostly because I always use the free clover honey that is get next to the tap water along with the Hershey's chocolate syrup! That's a little tip if you want something sweet on your froyo but nothing crazy rich like cheesecake bites or brownie toppings. Oh and I always use my Berry Line rewards card. I've also had their pumpkin flavor which I liked, but usually revert to the original. Their mochi is handmade and is chewy yet soft. Other great toppings are their cheesecake bites (pumpkin is amazing if they have it), yogurt chips, and granola. They are very generous with their toppings, so great for those who love toppings.
