Favorite froyo spot in Cambridge/Boston area due to the froyo's consistency and tart flavoring (not too sweet). I always go for the original with strawberries as it's the most consistent and has good yogurt flavor. Lower in calories and sugar than regular ice cream so not as much of a guilty feeling when eating. Fairly efficient for a small place, and they offer pup cups too. My dog loves to come for her own froyo. read more

It was my first time BerryLine as a Harvard Square regular, and I was quite pleased! The store is very small, and as service is constantly booming, there isn't really anywhere to sit. However, this is great for Froyo takeout and to enjoy in the Harvard Yards. I got the classic yogurt flavor, it was affordable and tasty. While I do prefer DIY Froyo places, this place was tasty. Service was good too. One of the staff members looked like a famous celebrity, I won't say who but I had to do a double take. I'll be back! read more

Mochi is so amazingly soft and handmade. Long lines, and the flavors run out quickly at night. Wish they had more flavor options, but there are so many toppings to choose from. read more

Probably the best frozen yogurt I've had! The original is perfectly tart and smooth and is complemented amazingly by the homemade mochi topping. There are also seasonal flavors that rotate every few weeks. Prices are fair with a micro cup + a topping coming out to less than $5. Service is fast so know what you want before you reach the counter. Shop is pretty small so I would recommend eating outside on warmer days or taking the froyo to go! read more

I used to go to Berryline all the time when they had a location farther up Mass Ave. It still hits the spot. I had the Ube Banana flavor which I think is probably seasonal. (They used to have so many flavors back then!) It was pretty good, a bit more subtle, slightly tart and not too sweet. I always get their mochi because it's so good. I got mochi as a topping once in New York on froyo and it just couldn't compare. Quick service, not a lot of places to sit inside but a great place to grab a sweet treat while still feeling semi-healthy. read more

My family and I love coming to BerryLine for dessert. They offer so many flavors of both froyo and ice cream, in addition to fantastic homemade toppings. Our favorite toppings include the mochi (perfectly chewy with an addicting texture) and the cheesecake (crumbly and decadent). We love that it only cost a bit more for unlimited toppings, and the generous workers really load up each order! There are classic flavors and rotating seasonal flavors, so there's always something new to try. It's pretty easy to find street parking nearby, and they have some indoor seating (and outdoor tables during the summertime). read more

Great frozen yogurt here! The first time we went it was in the afternoon on a summer Friday and the line was out the door. However the line moves pretty quickly which is super nice. The seating area inside is pretty small and cozy but super nice if you can get a window seat. The toppings were all good but particularly the mochi was exceptional (I especially liked the passion fruit mochi special). It is a bit far from me in Brookline but an occasional journey is nice. The service was mixed some workers are super attentive and friendly and some really aren't. Depends on who's working. read more

Berryline has fantastic frozen yogurt and I sorely miss it every time I'm not in Boston. I love that they constantly have rotating flavors, but my personal favorite is the original with an assortment of fruit toppings and their homemade mochi (which has a soft, chewy texture that pairs very well with their froyo). They are very generous with their portion sizes, especially if you order in person (though I am glad they are now on delivery services post COVID). I was very sad when they closed their Porter square location during the early parts of the pandemic. This shop is quite small so seats are quite limited. read more

I love the seasonal flavors that they rotate through. I got the matcha green tea froyo this time. The flavor isn't particularly strong but I can definitely taste hints of it. The Oreo cheesecake and brownie toppings are delicious and are my two go tos. Staff is always very friendly. They offer tasters for the froyo. The store is small with only 3-6 seats. read more

BERRYLINE! #1 Frozen Yogurt in Boston Area If you think you don't like frozen yogurt you're wrong unless you have tried berry line. At first I didn't like original, but it grows on you. The workers need an attitude check The yogurt is fire and I crave it but honestly the workers make it really hard to show up. I always feel really uncomfortable when I walk in the building because the workers nasty attitude makes you feel like a burden for being there and making them do their literal job. ALSO all of my friends and I ordered a large but two of us actually got half the size of the others and felt like we were jipped of what we paid for and it is NOT cheap. read more

The ambiance is super cute and cozy and the staff were very nice. We tried the Oreo, lemon bar, and original before deciding to get the original froyo because the other two basically tasted the same as the original. The original is not too sweet and tastes very yogurt like, but it's frozen. So literally just like frozen yogurt and they do it very well here. I also got the brownie addon to my small froyo (the portions were also very good and for a great price, considering it was near a major tourist spot). The brownie was just average, probably should've tried their signature mochi, but the froyo was a total banger. Definitely reccomend getting while near Harvard Square! 10/10 spot read more

It's so hard to find tart froyo nowadays when shops were a dime a dozen maybe 10 years ago (RIP). Luckily BerryLine still serves tart yogurt at a convenient location for me. I love their homemade mochi and the sweet chewy texture complements well with the creamy tartness of the yogurt. The micro size is plenty enough coming at just under $5 after tax. Sadly their second location closed down I believe in the last year or so, but we are lucky enough to have this Harvard Square gem still with us! read more

I feel like froyo doesn't get as much love as it used to get anymore. I was surprised to see a froyo store with lots of customers still since seeing all of the pinkberry's, red mangos and sweetfrogs starting to disappear. The groups of customers makes sense though, because the froyo here is amazing! I got the lavender honey and got blueberries on top. The froyo is creamy and is very flavorful and tart. The blueberries also tasted fresh too and were a nice add-on with every bite. People were sitting outside and chatting while enjoying their froyo, and there is also a couple tables and chairs on the inside if you would like to dine inside as well. The line wasn't long and I waited probably 5 minutes max, but when I was leaving the line was out the door on a Monday night. I would come back! read more

My favorite froyo place in Boston. My go-to is always the original tart, which at BerryLine is especially creamy, almost like a vanilla soft serve, except it still maintains the yogurt flavor. I opted for multiple toppings this time, which is as many toppings as can fit on top of the froyo. I had strawberries, blueberries, and mochi. Yumm read more

I live near MIT, and I often walk to Harvard just to get Berryline. As someone who loves all yogurt things, I can say that Berryline's frozen yogurt hits near perfection. It is tangy, not too sweet, refreshing, and firm. Out of all the froyos I've ever tried, Berryline's tastes the most like real, fresh yogurt. I almost always get the original because it just tastes that good, but sometimes go for others like the lavender honey. Note that the flavors rotate (except the original which they always have), but you can check the day's flavors on their website before you go! In my experience, a flavor will usually stay for a couple weeks. The lavender honey, strawberry lemonade, and rose are my favorite non-original flavors. read more

They have fresh mochi and a lot of other toppings! All their fruits are fresh and they have some popping boba. I came here on a Friday night and there were lots of people outside sitting and chatting with their friends. The line only had 5-6 people and was quick when 3 servers were working. The original yogurt is tart and has the perfect consistency. I also got the Nutella which was light in flavor and not too sweet. read more

One of the best froyo's I've had in awhile. I doubted my friend when she told me to try the original flavor since I don't like tart things, but it turned out to be great! The only complaint is it's so popular the line is long and you can't really sit inside. Will definitely come back to try the next time I'm in town. read more

A bit surprising that I've never written a review for Berryline, considering how often I visit this quintessential Harvard Square fixture! Berryline has possibly some of the best frozen yoghurt I've ever had. The slate of four flavours cycles periodically, but even the fixed original flavour - a perfect compromise of sweetness and tartness - never fails to disappoint me. This visit in particular I tried the mango flavour, and I was unsurprisingly very happy with my choice (you really can't go wrong). Berryline is also known in particular for their delicious mochi topping, which I get every single time. In fact, it's so popular that one of the menu items is just a bowl of mochi - no yoghurt needed! It has that wonderfully unique chewiness that pairs really well with the soft texture of the froyo itself. They also have a decent ice cream selection, which I've never personally tried but have heard good things about, too. Prices are not exactly low - but I don't feel like they've changed dramatically in the past few years since I've lived in the area, and honestly, for this quality of dessert, I think it's definitely worth it, at least for the occasional visit. read more

If you're looking to try something unique, I would suggest adding the homemade mochi topping to your next order. The classic original is tart and perfect, and I've never been disappointed by the fruity flavor selection. Truly the best froyo I've ever had. I got the two sorbets (Mango and Raspberry) because I didn't feel like getting dairy that day (very lactose, oops). They both tasted very artificial and too thick in flavor that it wasn't refreshing and I unfortunately had to toss out after a few bites because I couldn't eat more of it, which I NEVER do. I'm giving this place another try with their other popular flavors because I refuse to give up on froyo places, especially when there are only like 2 in Boston! The place itself is very cute and there are a few seats to chill inside but a lot of seats around Harvard Square anyways to hangout. I really liked how they had various sizes and allowed multiple scoops even for the tiniest cup! The employee was really nice and she gave testings for unique flavors (should've tasted the sorbets before getting it). The two flavors I got were a miss for me but I'm sure the other flavors are yummy! read more

BerryLine's ice cream isn't bad. I got the mint chocolate chip and with brownie toppings. The ice cream prices are quite typical. There's not much space/seating in the ice cream shop. Service is pretty good and all servers are nice. Their ice cream is not all that special so I'm not sure if I'll be back, but it's worth a try! Check it out if you're in Cambridge! This is my all-time favorite froyo place! It's 100% the BEST FROYO!!! Seriously, nowhere else even comes close. I like to get the original with no toppings because the froyo is just that good! It's the perfect combination of tart and creamy, and the texture is always spot-on. I don't live in the area anymore, but any time I visit Boston, a trip to Berryline is a must. I was sad to hear their other location on Mass Ave went away, but hopefully this one is here to stay. If I lived any closer, I would stop by every day! read more

If you watch a horror movie, there might be a SCARY LINE If you kissed a girl and liked it, that's a KATY PERRY LINE When Madonna's touched for the very first time, that's a CHERRY LINE But if you're in Boston and want some FroYo, go to BERRYLINE! WHAT I've trundled around on many different lines of Boston's T subway train, but this was my first ever experience on the Berry Line. It didn't really get me anywhere, but it tasted good. The best thing about this little frozen yogurt chain is that they are extremely friendly here. The girls are super sweet to me and told me all about the chain and the other locations and whatnot, and gave me extremely generous portions of the product. These servers alone were so great to me that it's impossible not to give 5 stars. On the other hand, while the frozen yogurt was good, I guess I'm just not I guess I'm just not completely obsessed with frozen yogurt like a lot of people are, so I liked it but wasn't maniacal about it or anything. But the service was so completely friendly here, and the products were pretty good (between a 4 and a 5) that overall, I definitely have to give them 5 stars, because they have some of the best service in Boston. Now I'm berry able to keep myself awake, so I'm going to line down for a bit. read more

Amazing froyo!! It's not the super sugary froyo most places have, it's sweet but tart which I love! You can get all the flavors in one cup and they really load it on! The mochi topping is the best, so soft and they put so much on! Perfect for a summer snack read more

Established in 2007.

BerryLine is locally owned by long time friends, Pok Yang and Matthew Wallace, who first meet in 1999 while attending graduate school in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The idea for BerryLine arose in late 2006 and was seriously considered in early 2007 when potential locations were scouted. The initial site in Harvard Square was settled upon in May 2007, though renovations were not completed until September 2007. Numerous renovation and business development plans were made possible by the generous contributions of time and expertise made by BerryLine friends. BerryLine is in no way a franchise and is thus able to provide you with personalized attention, where your ideas can manifest into reality. Be sure to let us know how to make the shop better. Meet the Business Owner: Matt W.

Let me be frank, I started BerryLine because I am interested in life and living life to its fullest. Prior to owning BerryLine, I'd never even worked retail, having spent my summers as a camp counselor and lifeguard before becoming a full time academic. Owning my own business was always a dream and BerryLine has been a great introduction. Many of you who have visited the shop(s) have probably noticed constant changes as we fine tune our knowledge relating to frozen yogurt and to owning a business in general. As we fine tune our knowledge (I don't think you can really ever stop) we love to have constant feedback and thus require your help to point out the flaws and successes. I am in one of the shops 6 days a week, working either behind the counter or in some other capacity. Please say hello, ask a question, or simply give me a wave if you see me around.

It is one of the very good ones I've had (among different cities, different stores). The base is naturally sweetened with banana and mango and gives its silky texture and sweet aroma. I asked for cacao nibs to sub the granola and got a large amount of cacao in my bowl. Not complaining, super crunchy. The blueberries and strawberries are of great quality, too. Almond butter is creamy. I think I'll have their smoothie bowls more often. In the past I have tried (and also recommend) wellness shot, chia pudding (lots of chia soaked in coconut milk). Their baked goods are also good, I particularly like tahini cookies (lots of super food and good stuff in there, like oats and sesame seeds, also chocolate chips of course) than muffin, although the latter is also made from healthy ingredients. Service is quick and friendly. Good experience!

You taste the mango peach with the coconut. It's a milky tropical blend.

It has been 11 days since my last visit and this place was great again. Just happened to be in Harvard Square and remembered how much I enjoyed BerryLine the last time. This place did not let me down again. So simple, yet sooooo gooood. The fruit and the frozen yogurt works so well together. This time I got a little more adventurous and got a Strawberry Kiwi original. I always loved Strawberry Kiwi drinks so I figured this would be interesting. Again, the fruit was loaded onto the frozen yogurt and it was literally hard to dig in without knocking some of the fruit off the side because there was so much of it. The fruit is fresh which is amazing. Theres nothing like fresh fruit. Eating this makes me feel so much less fat than if I eat something from say coldstone. Again, great friendly service. The worst part was the empty cup after the frozen yogurt was gone. I was tempted to cry. Also, after my last review, I managed to get out of this place safely without tripping. This is actually the second review I've written for Berryline, but that's how good it is. It gets another review! Berryline is amazing. Their yogurt is divine. It's yogurty yogurt, for sure, none of this faux-ice-cream stuff. Now this puts most people off it, but TRY IT FIRST. I admit, over a year ago when I first stumbled upon this gem, I was skeptical. But it was worth it. I'm a convert. They have 3 flavors each week--original, and two random, amazing, adventurous flavors that you're guaranteed to love. Like rose petal--delicious! They have so many toppings, especially fresh chopped fruit, granola, toffee bits, cereals, and the newest thing, Mochi! It's really good, and they have it in strawberry. Fab. For some reason they stopped serving their amazing redline smoothie, but they still have absolutely perfect coffee--its a shame they don't open before noon. Can you imagine, a cup of berryline coffee, some guava/original swirl yogurt, and some strawberries and mangoes on the side? A perfect breakfast! Five stars. My family loves froyo, and this is our fav spot hands down. My favorite unexpected flavor is lavender honey??(never thought i'd say that, but it's sooo good). All of their flavors never fall short, and there's usually a flavor profile for everyone. The kids usually go for a chocolate option. The texture is nice and smooth. It's all natural ingredients, so depending on what the flavor you get, such as black raspberry, there will be a small amount of raspberry seed or coconut pieces, but it's actually blended really well. The thing we love most is that they are not greedy with their toppings (it's part of what sets you apart), and there are a lot of toppings to choose from. Last year they started serving dairy/nondairy ice cream. Great addition Berryline! They also have smoothies, and shakes. The Porter Square location has made to order waffles, choose your toppings = trouble, the good kind. Also brownie points go to a loyalty stamp card, I think it's for every 10; it's nice to be appreciated. Hope you love it as much as we do. read more

The worst customer service ever! The Asian girl has got to get fired. she is going to make the business go sour. So does the brunette who just stands there and doesn't do work. I was there yesterday and there were a super long line and the brunette girl was just standing there getting in the way of the others behind the counter and not working while the other 2 (a girl and a guy) were working very hard. I won't go in if the Asian girl or the brunette girl are working in there. as for the yogurt. it is my 3rd time in the store and it was a disappointment. maybe they were not ready for a large crowd because the first 2 times i had an amazing experience but yesterday was just weird. 1 star because of those 2 employees. once they get fired and if they are replaced with someone more fun and less creepy and if their yogurt go back to the high quality it used to be I'll come back and give them more stars. read more

I was really craving some pinkberry/kiwiberry so I decided to give this place a try. The original was more creamy and less tangy than pinkberry's original but still pretty good. I love the way Pinkberry's yogurt tastes like those Asian yogurt drinks so I still prefer Pinkberry. The fruit options are not as extensive as Pinkberry but is all super fresh and not frozen. The store itself is very small so the fact that it offers free wifi doesn't do much because there's no place to sit. One thing about BerryLine that I do like more than Pinkberry is the fact that they serve coffee and expresso as well as the fro yo. Overall, it was enough to satisfy my Pinkberry craving until they finally make their way to Boston. And it's definitely better than regular fro yo any day, so if you haven't given either a try I definitely recommend it! read more

I love frozen yogurt. It's one of my favorite summer treats as I wander around Harvard Square. The choice inevitably comes down to BerryLine versus PinkBerry, and for me, BerryLine takes the cake. I simply cannot understand the hype about PinkBerry. As I see it, BerryLine does everything PinkBerry does, they just do it better. Better atmosphere, better service, and definitely better froyo. I was skeptical about their tart yogurt the first time I came, but the second time, I really liked it and by the third, I loved it! Their other flavors (which change occasionally) are nice too, but their tart original flavor is what always keeps me coming back. Trust me, you'll love it too. read more

Yummm fro-yo! This frozen yogurt with toppings trend is new to me and BerryLine was a great first try. I just had a plain with strawberries and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a small and I felt that the portion was rather large. The thing I like about frozen yogurt is that it isn't heavy like ice cream, so even though the portion was larger than I thought I could stomach, I was able to smoothly finish it off. It was a very refreshing treat. The shop is pretty small hence there's limited seating, so plan on taking it to go. I will surely return to try more toppings! read more

In Harvard Square, there's a new frozen yogurt/coffee shop called Berry Line. The frozen yogurt is delectable. It tastes like frozen yogurt should, not like the super sugary garbage that most places serve. You can also get a variety of tasty and edible (or not) toppings, such as fresh cut fruit (not canned!) or fruity pebbles. The mighty leaf, a great tea, is also available. I tried the rainforest mate tea and found it to be delicious. Furthermore, everybody there is extremely friendly. Furthermore, the rates are fair.
