Process took about 4 weeks from estimate to completion of work (2x follow up visits for patching/touch ups post 1-day roof completion) . While the roofers that came to do the work were somewhat in hurry and didn't completely protect some existing items, no harm no foul, and quick work with only minor ding-ups that were fixed within the next week. Would recommend.

We had 3 roofs to be replaced, the main house, the standalone garage, and a flat roof, part of an extension to the house. The job was projected to take 2 days, but they finished in 1, promptly starting at 7:30 am and not leaving until 7 that night. Crews kept moving in and out all day to do different parts of the job. Mark was great to deal with and worked with us. The crew was hardworking - worked quickly but carefully, made the necessary repairs and made sure to clean up all the debris. The roof looks great! Very pleased. We highly recommend! Mark and Rhoda L.

This here is a review for Jon and the Big Apple Renovators' crew for their roof replacement job…read more(June 2022). What started out as a minor roof repair for a water leak developed into one of my better home investment decisions. As a first-time homebuyer experiencing an ongoing leak, I weighed my options for a roof repair with several roofing contractors. What stood out about Jon and his team was their positive reviews and responsiveness. An estimator came to my home in less than 12 hours for a free quote and more importantly, provided insight to where the water was coming from and options to remedy the problem. Based on my conversations I decided to go with a small, repair job. When the roofers began their work, the situation evolved into something more serious. Inside I feared this all along: that a repair would only delay the water from eventually coming back into the house. And that's when I talked it over in person with Jon. He sparked my inner financier and advised that a complete roof replacement would be a long-term investment for the home and the work would be covered for 50 years under the GAF warranty. I agreed. Unbelievably, his crew of 10 guys showed up the next morning, and like a well-oiled machine, completed the job that same day. Jon and his crew were a pleasure to deal with and I appreciate them fitting me into their schedule on such short notice. I put utmost value in customer service and Jon exceeded them completely. Only time will tell how the roof holds up, but I'm confident if there's any issues, he'll be the first to know and respond. Peace of mind goes a long way, thanks Jon and B.A.R.!

My entire roof had to get redone (luckily the wood was good), but it's a small house. So it was done in one day. They also informed my neighbors about the work before they started (which was great). I was concerned about an issue but they came in immediately and checked it, and it was fine - I'm a first time homeowner so almost everything makes my antsy. I'm not easy to please, but I'd definitely recommend this company to others for roof replacements.

Honestly, we were disappointed…read more The roof they installed years ago was not installed correctly and caused water damage over the years due to improper installation. All the founder could say was that he couldn't understand how the damage could have happened. It happened because the roof wasn't done right. They didn't own up to it. Nor did they even offer to replace the damaged materials for free! Hansen also recommended work that other contractors didn't feel was necessary. At first, I thought Hansen was giving a good price. But after getting other estimates, we chose another contractor to do the work and could not have been happier. The contractor we went with gave us a MUCH better price and didn't nickle and dime for everything they could charge extra for -- dumpster, etc. It pays to shop around. The new contractor installed identical roofing materials with ease, and took care of all the permit work -- and did the work for thousands of dollars less than Hansen's estimate. Shop around.
